President Obama No Longer Fit to be Commander in Chief

Active duty military personnel cannot speak out against deplorable practices of the executive branch of The United States of America. However, veterans, friends, and former intelligence operatives of America can speak out on their behalf. They are doing so now.

[This editorial is the sole opinion of its author and is not intended to represent the opinions of any other person or entity]

Every branch of The United States military was involved in the operation that ended the reign of Osama bin Laden, as were many men and women of the intelligence services. It is they to whom this post is dedicated.

Normally, MRC would not post a video longer than a few minutes. I made an exception due to the importance of the message of this one. I don’t believe most Americans understand the grave nature of what President Obama has allowed to occur from the White House. Please watch this video, especially the last half (see caption below they symbol of the Navy SEAL at bottom).

Quote from the video:

“If we tell a **** terrorist we are coming to get him, how we find him, who is coming, how we are going to do it, me or some of my friends are going to die.” (~ Anonymous SOF Operator)

The extent to which President Obama exploited the bin Laden operation first came to my attention in February upon reading a powerful op-ed by former Navy SEAL, Leif Babin (see post here). I have been researching the extensive leaks ever since. Later this video was produced by a veterans group denouncing President Obama for his glory run.

DUTY - HONOR - COUNTRY

The men and women of our armed forces and intelligence services, by oath, place their lives ahead of self interest and are committed to lay down their lives to save those working next to them and for their country. President Obama also gave an oath to protect the Constitution of The United States of America. It is obvious that by consistently allowing senior White House officials to leak methods of operations and other classified secrets for political gain, Mr. Obama is no longer fit to be Commander in Chief. For he alone has reduced his standing to pedantic politician. His motives are purely political now. Evidence: Since Labor Day 2011, he has spent virtually no time attempting to do his job as POTUS; rather he has been campaigning or resting (golfing) from his campaign ever since.

A true leader gives all the credit to those he or she leads. A true leader takes full responsibility for his failures under his charge. President Obama has done neither of these. President Obama is not a leader and never has been a leader in the classic definition of that word.

Thousands of dedicated women and men of America’s armed forces and intelligence services were involved in the bin Laden raid. I believe the caption below typifies the state of mind of these, our patriots, and all American service members:

Humility: The Trident is a symbol of that humility. In the Trident of a Navy SEAL, the majestic eagle has his head bowed. Without humility, the Navy SEAL knows he cannot learn. Without humility, the Navy SEAL in all likelihood will die on the battlefield. Humility helps them to learn and live to their full potential.

400+ Economists Endorse Romney Plan to Create Jobs & Restore Economic Growth

This news is significant. Obama’s obfuscation continues to be exposed by outstanding experts who are emerging in strong support of Romney’s economic plan.

Stephen Moore published this piece yesterday in The Wall Street Journal titled “Economists 4 Romney”:

The Romney-Ryan ticket gets another boost today when about 400 prominent economists from industry and academia endorsed his economic revival and jobs plan. We came across an advance copy of the statement which reads: “We enthusiastically endorse Governor Mitt Romney’s economic plan to create jobs and restore economic growth while returning America to its tradition of economic freedom. The plan is based on proven principles: a more contained and less intrusive federal government, a greater reliance on the private sector…” The statement refutes many of the Obama campaign’s loud claims that Mr. Romney’s math doesn’t add up.

At least four of the signatories are Nobel prize winners, including Gary Becker, Robert Lucas, Robert Mundell and Edward Prescott. Other highly respected economic thinkers on the list include Phil Gramm, Martin Feldstein, and noted supply-side guru Arthur Laffer. The scholars say they agree with the Romney plan’s intention to “reduce marginal tax rates on business and wage incomes and broaden the tax base to increase investment, jobs, and living standards.” Mr. Obama has lambasted the Romney tax cuts as a giveaway to the rich that will end up leaving the middle class carrying the bag.

Economists Jim Carter and Glenn Hubbard, both of whom worked in the Bush White House, say they “are constantly adding more names.” The purpose of the letter is to add scholarly gravitas to the Romney plan for rebuilding the economy.

The economists’ letter also takes a shot at Mr. Obama’s economic strategies which they believe “only prolong slow growth and high unemployment.” They specifically criticize the “stimulus programs,” ObamaCare, the rise in the debt burden and the regulatory explosion imposed on small businesses. They warn that in a second term Mr. Obama is likely to “double down on the failed policies.”

[…]

Nothing has failed quite like Obamanomics.

I can’t wait to see which experts Obama will roll out to support his plan! He is scrambling now to figure out what to do.

Paul Ryan’s First Solo Interview since VP Announcement

This was a Brit Hume (Fox News) exclusive interview of Paul Ryan. It is a high level discussion that I think effectively starts the national debate to contrast the Romney economic plan with Obama’s. I like Ryan’s powerful use of words like “irrefutable” and “raids on Medicare.” Obama will now either have to defend his terrible plan or we will see more of his same ole tactics: Personal attacks.

Students for Romney — A Call to Action!

UPDATE: News Release — “A Romney first: over 40% of youth vote back him”

By Shane Bias

Let it be known, that there is change in the air. Let it be known that students are waking up and are disgusted with the way the Obama administration has handled our future. Let it be known that no longer will the youth be controlled or manipulated by Obama’s fabrications and scare tactics. They say if you’re not liberal when you’re young, you have no heart. We say if you’re liberal when you’re young, you have no brain!

During the 2008 elections, Barack Obama campaigned on hope and change. Obama promised us lower taxes, more jobs, less debt and the youth vote listened. The youth vote was very much captivated by the smoke and mirrors setup by the Obama administration. Four years ago Obama deceived the youth. This year, the youth will not and cannot be fooled!

The support for Obama among young voters is in a downward spiral to an all-time low of just under 50%! And we are just getting started!

I believe the youth are sending a strong message to Obama and his failed policies. If 16% unemployment is your example of “change” President Obama, then we don’t want it! If 50% of young Americans being underemployed or not employed are your version of hope President Obama, then we don’t want it!

But it would be ill-advised and naive to count Obama and his Chicago cronies out. After all, Obama and his cronies did create the most successful Internet campaign politics has seen.

The Obama administration knows how to do one thing correctly and that is use social media and the Internet to effectively fundraise and recruit. They did it in 2008 to defeat Clinton and then again to defeat McCain. But this is four years later and Barack Obama has yet to meet Students for Romney!

The youth are fed up with the promises and lies of the Obama Administration. The youth are energized and actively partaking in Internet and social media groups to combat the Obama machine. We are putting out a call to action for every single young American today. Stand up and fight with us!

No longer can we afford to travel down the paths of this administration. We cannot afford to put this election on the back burner. The time to take back our country is today! It is time to join the ranks and be a part of something that is truly greater than you.

We are about getting people back to work; we are about lowering the debt; but most importantly, we are about righting the wrongs of this past administration.

The tides are turning. The ball is moving. We are building the largest youth coalition the GOP has seen since the Ronald Reagan days. And don’t let the Democrats, or Obama, tell you that we didn’t build that! We will continue to send shock waves through D.C on our way to restoring America. We are fundamentally changing politics as you know it in the GOP.

But we must have your support. We are asking you to fight with us to ensure our future is bright. Fight with us to take back our country, because if we are defeated; we will lose much more than just this election. We will miss a chance at real hope and positive change.

If you seek to make a difference or if you strive for positive change please visit our website today and sign up (www.studentsformittromney2012.com)! God Bless you all and God Bless the United States of America!

He also played a pivotal role in the primaries and election cycle this year. Shane built and managed the second largest student movement in the primary behind the label, Students for Rick Santorum. Days after Santorum dropped out of the race, Shane was contacted by Young Americans for Mitt Romney and was elected president of that organization, his current position. Also, a couple months after accepting the position as president of YAMR, Shane was voted in as President of Students for Romney.

Intel from Axelrod’s Tent — The Stench of Panic

President Obama & Vice President Biden (photographer unknown)

Try to imagine you are Obama or Biden right now. They all but admitted they never saw it coming. ‘It’ being the Paul Ryan veep choice. And now they are scrambling on defense again to figure out what to do.

In a war, one of the most critical and important elements of strategy is to keep your enemy off balance; to keep him guessing all the time. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are brilliant strategists and fighters and they are going to win. One key factor in the Obama/Biden arsenal is their predisposition to lie. They have no compunction to lying; that makes them dangerous when cornered. But we have confidence in the voters to see through the fog of falsehood. Truth always triumphs over falsehood.

Two days ago I gave a list of several clues that give me the confidence to optimistically state Romney/Ryan will be elected on November 6th. One of those clues is the difference in crowd size at each Obama or Romney campaign stop. The Romney/Ryan crowds are huge and growing and much larger than the Obama/Biden crowds.

Yesterday, the Washington Examiner published an email message from within the Obama campaign HQ in Chicago. You will recall that crowd estimates of the North Carolina event were estimated at 10,000+. This message below pegged it 5,000 higher:

Paul —

I just got this disturbing report: Yesterday’s Romney-Ryan rally in North Carolina pulled in an overflow crowd of 15,000 people.

There’s no spinning that number. It’s a LOT of people, and the Republican base in energized.

And that’s not all. Since the VP announcement, Romney’s campaign has brought in over 70,000 donations from his Tea Party base.

We’ve got to step up our game and mobilize our supporters — starting right now.

Donate $3 or right now to help us rally our base around President Obama’s agenda >>

Listen to what one Republican supporter said about Paul Ryan: “I love him…He’s going to excite the Tea Party and get them on board…”

We can’t let the Republicans claim the momentum. Donate $3 or whatever you can:

I was trying to imagine some of the water cooler discussions there in Chicago. One that came to mind was this: “Man, what are we going to do about North Carolina! That is our national convention state. Romney is eating our lunch there! What the heck are we going to do?!!”

This article is a great example of the many articles describing panic and desperation wafting from the Axelrod tent ——-> SHAPIRO …I love it!

Paul Ryan: “Without Guile or Pretense” — Why America Will Win

We are going to win!

Assuming Mitt Romney is elected President of the United States, he just made the first major decision of his presidency. His selection of Paul Ryan as his vice president is another outstanding decision that is rattling already spooked operatives in the executive branch.

Paul Ryan & Mitt Romney in High Point, North Carolina — August 12, 2012. Photo by Sara D. Davis / Getty Images

Governor Romney offered four criteria for his selection of a VP running mate. He has said often that this person must be able to step in as POTUS from the day he is elected VP. In addition, in last night’s 60 Minutes interview he said the person had to have the “experience, judgment, capacity [read: intelligence], and character…” He said Paul Ryan clearly met each of these.

Mitt Romney’s choice for vice president is widely considered to have broken the perception that he and his campaign were playing it safe. Frankly, I never thought that for a moment; however I did think he has been playing it smart by not spending a lot of money and political capital during the summer doldrums when few people pay attention to politics. Contrast decisions made by President Obama, who is indecisive and timid regarding major international affairs of state, failing to assume a major leadership role characteristic of most former US chief executives. World leaders are clamoring for American leadership abroad. Even American legislators are drifting as a result of the void of executive leadership. Which of the two presidential candidates is playing it safe? The stark irony and reality is that it is Barack Obama.

There have been many outstanding quotes about Paul Ryan and Governor Romney’s selection these past 48 hours. My favorite quote of them all about Paul Ryan was by Bill Bennett, for whom Ryan worked at Empower America:

“He is a guy without guile, without pretense. He likes to hang out with actuaries for relaxation,”

Think about how any person could describe a national leader or politician that would be a greater compliment than “being without guile and pretense?” The same is true of Mitt Romney. They both are cut from the same cloth when it comes to character. I happen to believe that one of the reasons Governor Romney chose Paul Ryan was because he is a humble man. Has any person ever described Barack Obama in any way even remotely similar? What about Biden? Sadly, never.

This weekend I heard just about every criticism the Democrats could muster to describe Paul Ryan and the Romney/Ryan ticket. Most laughable of them all was their projection of Romney’s policy plans versus those of Obama. They believe Obama’s policies are superior. Let’s use a little bit of brain power here – maybe a little logic and reasoning?

Even if you think Obama’s policies are the best overall, how could you ever believe the man will successfully execute them? America is suffering under his policies. We are in stagflation after years of Obama policy. The only reason we don’t hear about stagflation more frequently is because one component is in its early stages: inflation. But the lack of consumer and business growth has been our course for many quarters and rising unemployment is a fact. Obama is to be trusted to execute his policies? Obama has broken at least two dozen commitments to American citizens. Here are some big ones: He promised to cut unemployment to 6.5% in his first term (we are at 8.2% and 15% when considering those who quit looking for a job). He committed to cut federal deficits in half in his first term. Instead, he allowed debt to balloon by $5 trillion! He promised to close Gitmo; an easy commitment to fulfill as POTUS. Obama’s answer to just about any problem is to spend more and to support the spend by taxing more. Obama is a great talker; he knows how to promise.

Mitt Romney knows how to execute. That is what he does. Every challenge he has taken on, he mastered. Whether to cut the debt with an 85% Democrat legislature in Massachusetts or to take a corruption-riddled Olympics project to one of the most successful Olympic Games in American history, Mitt Romney always attains the goals he sets. Execution of policy? Whom to trust to execute his policies? Obama or Romney? The answer is perfectly clear. America needs a complete turnaround. Do we trust the master of stagflation or the master of the turnaround?

Finally, Mr. Obama, and those he has chosen to surround him, are devoid of a moral compass. They have no compunction to lying. The most recent example is the Internet ad falsely implicating Governor Romney in the homicide of a woman. All of Obama’s closest advisers have stated they don’t know much about the entity that created it but when challenged on those assertions, they change the subject in shameless ways to prove they agree with and endorse the foundational premise of the ad. They are full of guile and pretense. One reason America is so lacking in executive leadership is because Barack Obama has no moral authority – he currently has power, yes, but he completely lacks authority. Space does not allow me to elaborate; suffice to say that any “leader” that is willing to lie to retain or gain power is doing so to cover behavior unbecoming the Office of President.

I introduced this piece with, “We are going to win!” I know we are going to win; this is not a hunch. Here are some clues:

In Flight, August 11, 2021 — Photo Credit: Newsday.com

  • Compare the size of the Romney and Obama rallies; Romney’s in Wisconsin and North Carolina over the weekend were 10,000+…Obama’s are sparse now (follow Drudge for regular crowd updates).
  • Obama will be the first incumbent president in American history to raise less money than his challenger (an important type of “vote”).
  • Obama begs for money at every turn. As incumbent, he has held over 200 fund raisers; that is more than all five previous incumbent presidents combined. This is an important reason Obama is an ineffective POTUS; he spends all his time either raising money or resting from raising money (golfing).
  • We frequently hear of elected Democrat officials and Democrat voters publicly declare they plan to vote for and support Mitt Romney for president; we never hear the opposite.
  • Romney is far smarter than Obama. Obama is a smooth talker; even a better talker than Romney. But Romney has spent his entire life setting strategy, inspiring others to his vision, and exceeding expectations.
  • Obama has far outspent Romney these past three months to no avail; polls had them tied when he began and they are basically tied now. Watch the needle when Romney/Ryan begin to get their message out and challenge Obama/Biden. They have yet to begin the fight.
  • At this stage in 1980 (90 days out), Carter was leading Reagan by 9 points; Reagan crushed Carter in a landslide (Carter’s economy was our last stagflation by the way).
  • Romney is a man of character with an unblemished reputation of moral authority. Obama has fully abdicated his responsibility of leadership by blaming other individuals, entities, and predecessors; he has never been a leader in the classic sense. American citizens know the difference.

We must all work as hard as we can — every day — to help Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan execute their strategy for the benefit of the greatest nation on Earth. Join Twitter to promote MRC. Use Facebook to get the word out often for Romney/Ryan. Yes, it is work, but it is fun work and being part of a winning team is the best!

Mitt Romney Selects Paul Ryan as his Choice for Vice President

Governor Mitt Romney and his Vice Presidential running mate, Congressman Paul Ryan

If your home is anything like ours, discussions of late have centered on the Olympic Games and whom Governor Romney would choose as his VP running mate and the timing of the announcement. Well, speculation is over; almost. This piece is published prior to the official event of the announcement.

Congressman Paul Ryan is an outstanding choice for many different reasons. Those of us that have researched and written to promote Governor Romney for years know him to be a strong, proven conservative leader. Is there any doubt now about his conservative vision for this ticket? No! We know Governor Romney as a man of great courage; Congressman Paul Ryan too is known for bold, assertive leadership. (See YouTube below for a glimpse of how Rep. Ryan is likely to handle any debate with Mr. Biden)

For the next two weeks leading into the Republican National Convention, we will be bombarded with details of Paul Ryan’s politics, leadership, background, families, etc. What do we know of this great American?

Character / Reputation

Ryan is a fighter who will never back away from a good scrap involving truth and he will fiercely defend against any of the many Obama elitist soothsayers and hacks like Burton. He is a passionate conservative - brilliant, articulate, energetic, and hard working. Many conservatives believe Ryan typifies the future of the Republican Party.

Families / Interests

One television news report from last night stated Ryan has 67 cousins living in and around Janesville, WI (his birthplace and current hometown). He is 42 years old, born January 29, 2022 to Paul, Sr. (lawyer) and Elizabeth Ryan. He is the youngest of four children; siblings include his sister Janet and brothers Tobin and Stan. Ryan’s father, grandfather, and great-grandfather all died of heart attacks between the ages of 55 and 59 (his father died when Paul, Jr. was 16). He is of Irish and German ancestry.

The Paul & Janna Ryan Family

Paul Ryan married Janna Little, a tax attorney, almost 12 years ago. They have three children, Liza, Charlie, and Sam. They are Roman Catholic.

Ryan is a fan of the Green Bay Packers, a fitness enthusiast, and a hunter who enjoys hunting with bow and arrows. If he is like my Cheesehead friend, Steve Miller, Ryan considers Wisconsin “God’s Country.”

Education / Political Career

Paul Ryan attended Joseph A. Craig High School and earned a BA at Miami University of Oxford, Ohio in economics and political science (he originally wanted to be an economist). He was first elected as a United States Congressman in 1998 at age 28 and is currently serving in the House in his seventh term. He is chairman of the Committee on the Budget and a member of the Committee on Ways & Means and the Subcommittee on Health.

Representative Ryan is an active and committed mentor to up and coming Republican leaders; he has been instrumental in guiding several individuals in their successful campaigns to elected office at the federal level. He is one of three founders of the Young Guns Program. Prior to his election to the House, he served as a speechwriter to several elected and appointed federal officials.

Social Media

Paul Ryan’s Twitter handle is @RepPaulRyan and he follows only one Twitter handle: @NationalDebt (at the time this post was published, his last tweet was August 5th). Check out the Paul Ryan YouTube Channel.

On April 29, 2012, The New York Times reported,

WASHINGTON — Representative Paul D. Ryan strolls the halls of Capitol Hill with the anarchist band Rage Against the Machine pounding through his earbuds.

At 6:30 every morning, he leads an adoring cast of young, conservative members of Congress through exercise sessions in front of a televised trainer barking out orders. For fun, Mr. Ryan noodles catfish, catching them barehanded with a fist down their throats.

He may be, as a friend described him, “a hunting-obsessed gym rat,” but Mr. Ryan, 42, of Wisconsin, has become perhaps the most influential policy maker in the Republican Party, its de facto head of economic policy, intent on a fundamental transformation of the federal government.

[…]

That is not bad for a man who was once just another minion on Capitol Hill, working for a research group, then for a member of Congress, and moonlighting as a waiter at the Hill hangout Tortilla Coast and as a personal trainer at a gym. Co-workers at the conservative policy group Empower America admonished him for hanging his workout clothes out to dry at work rather than laundering them.

“It’s amazing to all of us because Paul was just an ordinary guy,” said A. Mark Neuman, an old friend.

Rep. Ryan and Governor Romney

Late yesterday, Stephen Hayes and Bill Kristol wrote in The Weekly Standard,

Romney and Ryan bonded as they barnstormed Wisconsin in the days leading up to the state’s decisive April 3 primary. Over the course of their travels together, Ryan went from a small role as the guy who introduced Romney at their first event,to someone who shared the stage with him, taking some of the questions and bantering easily with Romney. The expanded role, Ryan told TWS in May, was Romney’s idea. “He knows how I talk and what I say. And I’m pretty clear about that stuff. I think he’s comfortable with that.”

Thursday, August 9th, the editorial board of The Wall Street Journal published its main opinion column titled, “Why Not Paul Ryan?” – A strong endorsement of Representative Ryan:

Beneath it all you can hear the murmurs of the ultimate Washington insult—that Mr. Ryan is too dangerous because he thinks politics is about things that matter. That dude really believes in something, and we certainly can’t have that.

[…]

The case for Mr. Ryan is that he best exemplifies the nature and stakes of this election. More than any other politician, the House Budget Chairman has defined those stakes well as a generational choice about the role of government and whether America will once again become a growth economy or sink into interest-group dominated decline.

[…]

Personalities aside, the larger strategic point is that Mr. Romney’s best chance for victory is to make this a big election over big issues. Mr. Obama and the Democrats want to make this a small election over small things—Mitt’s taxes, his wealth, Bain Capital. As the last two months have shown, Mr. Romney will lose that kind of election.

To win, Mr. Romney and the Republicans have to rise above those smaller issues and cast the choice as one about the overall direction and future of the country. Americans tell pollsters they are anxious and unhappy precisely because they instinctively know the country is troubled in ways it hasn’t been since the 1970s. They know the economy is growing too slowly to raise middle-class incomes, while the government is growing too fast to be affordable.

Above all, Americans are hungry for leadership. They want leaders willing to take on the hard issues, preferably without the rancor and polarization that have defined Mr. Obama’s Presidency. But they will reward leaders who succeed despite the rancor, as Wisconsin voters showed by their huge turnout in support of Governor Scott Walker this year.

Whatever doubts Americans may have about Mr. Romney’s empathy or background, more of them will turn out for him if they see a leader with a vision and plan worthy of the current difficult moment. This is the kind of candidate and message that voters need to see in the Republican convention this month and into the fall, and it is the message that Mr. Romney’s choice of a running mate should reinforce.

Watch how Rep. Paul Ryan completely dismantles ObamaCare in front of national leaders including President Obama and Vice President Biden; he leaves them virtually speechless:

Childish Behavior of Obama & Minions: Where Are The Adults On The Left?

As a follow on to Luke’s post below, I have been pondering the current state of the Presidential Campaign and left wondering… Are there any adults on the Left? Rarely have we seen so much immaturity exhibited by those who claim to be adults! It is more frightening because they hold the power of the Presidency and the Senate! Barack Obama, David Axelrod, Robert Gibbs, Jim Messina, Debbie Wasserman-Schulz, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Joe Biden, and the list goes on…Each seems to have regressed in age and resorted to childish and juvenile behavior befitting a child. They are without logic, reason and intelligence. Think about times past when we were much younger, even in elementary school, junior high or high school - we experienced the juvenile and childish antics of those who were without; the class clown, the bully, and others. As I have observed the recent antics of the left, I feel as though I have gone back fifty years!

We observe in human behavior, that when individuals are lacking confidence and/or capacity they resort to bluster, diversionary tactics, clowning around, aggression, lies, distortions, deception and pride to cover their shortfalls or hide their inadequacies. It is more than revealing to observe what has been happening these past months (and years) with Obama, his minions, his campaign and his ‘Super PAC’, Priorities USA. They have shown so much immaturity in their behavior that it makes one wonder…

Just look at some of the recent events:
1) Priorities USA’s recent ad implying that Mitt Romney was responsible for the death of a former GST Steel employee’s wife from cancer: They profess that Mitt, who left Bain in 1999, was responsible for the closing of the GST plant in 2001 and killing Joe Soptic’s wife by leaving the Soptic’s without health insurance at the time when she contracted cancer and died (2006). Really? By any measure of sanity, it is not even close to a stretch - it is an absolute lie and fabrication, and they know it! The facts are, Mitt left Bain in 1999 and long after he left the plant was closed (2001). Further, the Soptic’s had continuous health insurance when Mrs. Soptic was diagnosed and died (2006). The immaturity of Priorities USA to take this approach illustrates their lack of respect for the American people, believing that their lies will get traction - how dumb do they think we are? Are they so out of touch to think that American’s who are worried that they don’t have enough money to buy groceries or put gas in their cars, or pay their mortgages, are going to be interested in their lies of distraction? Why are they so duplicitous in trying to deceive America and take us from the things that matter most to all of us, the economy and jobs? Are they so power hungry in wanting to retain the Presidency, that they would try and dupe America into a debate over lies and fabrications unrelated to what matters to each of us? Are they really that clueless? Mark Steyn provides a great parody here. And then when the chorus of voices in Gibbs, Obama, Pelosi, Axelrod, Wasserman-Schulz affirm Priorities lies, whether in silence or confirming voice, they double-down their delusions. ***UPDATED - commentary by Jim Geraghty, wherein he catches Stephanie Cutter in a bold faced lie with respect to this story.***

2) Harry Reid’s recent rants about Mitt Romney’s tax filings for the past 10 years: Clearly beyond the breach of reality! Clearly a flat out lie to try and distract the dialogue from what matters to Americans, or to try and goad Mitt into releasing returns, or to divert attention from his own failings. Think about it from the perspective of the school yard bully who taunts, cajoles and oppresses with lies - Harry Reid has ingratiated himself financially from his position in the Senate; he has failed to provide his own tax returns and filings; he is Obama’s lead minion in the Senate and wants to appease and accommodate his idol or power provider; he has failed to provide any fiscal leadership in the Senate for the past 3 1/2 years without a budget; the economy is in a disastrous state in good measure because of his and Obama’s failed leadership; he and Obama aren’t getting what they want out of Mitt (who is not accommodative to their dictates); he is a full of himself with an abundance of pride and ego, more so than anyone in Washington; besides Barack, Harry Reid is the epitome of the school yard bully who is lacking in anything of substance and is trying to hide or cover up his own inadequacies and lack of capacity. The lies are so extreme and unbelievable, and yet he thinks it keeps him relevant? Personally, it evidences his and Obama’s delusions. And then when the chorus of voices in Gibbs, Obama, Pelosi, Axelrod, Wasserman-Schulz affirm Harry’s rants, whether in silence or confirming voice, they double-down their delusions.

3) Obama’s campaign’s multiple accusations against Mitt Romney, including but not limited to: king of outsourcing, Bain’s vulture capitalism, greed and theft, without feeling, Mitt Romney’s simultaneous engagement from 1999-2002 at Bain Capital and the SLC Winter Olympics, commission of a felony with the SEC and so much more. There was never any foundation or substance to all of the accusations and lies from the Obama camp, and they knew it and still know it; and they persist in reckless abandon. Even the liberal media defended Mitt in many cases. The amazing thing is that Obama is so blatant in his lies of distraction; they are so extreme and unbelievable and speak volumes about the accuser. And then when the chorus of voices in Gibbs, Obama, Pelosi, Axelrod, Wasserman-Schulz affirm, whether in silence or confirming voice, they double-down their delusions.

The continued immaturity and childish behavior of Obama and his minions, and the extremes to which they will go is frightening. Even so, the more we give substance to their debate or distill into their abyss of delusion and deceit, the more we as Americans lose.

Thankfully, we have an adult in the race for the Presidency. Mitt Romney has not fallen prey to the deceptions, nor has he taken heed of some conservative pundits who have encouraged accommodation to the Obama lies by providing further documentation. To accommodate and appease Obama’s goading taunts, or to distill into a responsive dialog and debate of their deceit and lies will only distract the course and cause of freedom, jobs and the economy. Mitt Romney sees the greater picture and remains focused on what matters for America! Yes, there must be a response of substance and facts that dispel the lies, but to continue the dialog beyond such is merely playing into Obama’s wanting to distract the debate away from his failed accountability to each and every American. I am grateful for the wisdom and judgement of Mitt Romney. To quote Mark DeMoss, “I trust him; I trust him to do the right thing, to do the moral thing, to do what is best for our country; I trust his character, his integrity, his moral compass, his judgment and his perfect decency. And finally, I trust his values, for I am convinced they mirror my own.”

The opposite is true about Obama and those who stand with him - there is nothing to trust for he has failed to earn the respect and trust of America, by virtue of who he has proven himself to be. Obama’s America does not comport with my America!

Jesse Watters: Humor from Harvard

What can I say? I am partial to Jesse Watters!

My favorite part of these Harvard Square “interviews” are of the two researchers that have no idea what Solyndra and Fast & Furious are. And I love the guy that looks like he is about to attack!

Harry Reid: “Dirty Liar” Involved in “Deplorable Political Behavior”

Harry Reid’s slimy, false accusation that Governor Romney paid no taxes in ten years was stunning in that Reid used the floor of the Senate to make the insinuation.

Sunday, RNC chairman Reince Priebus referred to Harry Reid as “a dirty liar” — twice. Greta Van Susteren also used the words “dirty” and “deplorable political behavior” to describe Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi; strong words even for Susteren.

Harry Reid’s fabrication is nothing more than a simple ploy to change the subject by accusation. It is no different than the horribly deplorable question posed to any man: “How many times did you beat your wife last year?” There is no positive way to answer it. Such a question posits an accusation while it also deflects attention from the persons (or party) posing the question (or from the critical subjects of jobs, the economy, debt). No matter how a man answers this question, he is judged guilty by the less studied (i.e., the TV voter) by their accepting the accusation on its face. Even Harry Reid’s style of gutter politics did not allow him to ask that question because even the TV voter would never believe the accusation. Mitt Romney’s reputation is above reproach and the only way to dispose the puny accuser is to ignore him, which is what Governor Romney has done.

I repeat what I have said in several previous posts. Consider the sources: Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi. Need I say more? Unfortunately, I’m afraid these three have yet to reach the lowest levels to which they are willing to stoop.

This video clip is excellent at revealing Reid and Pelosi for who they are: Deplorable politicians. BTW, at the end of the clip Priebus discusses possible additional speakers at the convention:
