Romney’s Leadership & Integrity will Trump Obama’s Four Inherent Advantages

The mission of this website (MRC) is very simple: We are a grassroots blog dedicated to the election of the finest leader to ever run for President of the United States: Mitt Romney. As a blog, we provide information of course to keep you informed, but our mission is to influence readers to take action; to join us in making a difference. If our presence on the Internet does not translate to energetic action in support of Mitt Romney, we have failed. If you have followed MRC for more than a few weeks, you have seen me start some of my posts with “We are going to win!” I have been steadfast in that declaration and I stand by it now.

That said, as in any competitive endeavor, we can lose. This contest is a simple one. The winner will be the candidate that receives the majority of electoral votes, which depends entirely on which candidate gets the largest number of people to cast ballots. Simple. If you are like me, you have gotten a bit nervous these past 10 days or so (or six months) watching with dismay as the mainstream media (MSM) spins everything to favor Mr. Obama. But you know what? It is what it is. The MSM will not change in the next 43 days, so we must overcome this enormous disadvantage with – as my father would say – sheer hard work; we must outwork the opposition.

As I see it, Mr. Obama has four significant advantages that Governor Romney does not and will have between now and November 6th. All of them are inherent with Barack Obama as a person, his party, and his office. In no particular order they are:

  1. Incumbency: As POTUS, Obama has Prestige of Office and Inherent Credibility
  2. A Corrupt and Biased Mainstream Media
  3. Rhetorical Deception
  4. Union Power and Corruption

Incumbency: As POTUS, Obama has Prestige of Office and Inherent Credibility

The advantages of running for re-election as a sitting president are roughly akin to the Yankees (largest payroll in the MLB at $200M) playing the Padres ($55M) in the World Series. Many advantages are obvious such as the unlimited use of Air Force One used to travel to fundraisers and the ability to invite anyone to the White House, etc. The others are less obvious but definitely crucial in a re-election bid, such as prestige of the office and the credibility of actually being the current POTUS. Think about it. The prestige and credibility of the office of POTUS were established by the reputations of predecessors such as Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln, and other incredible patriots of the last century and modern era. For reasons I lay out below, I strongly believe Barack Obama has not nearly lived up to the high standards Americans expect of their president. But that does not change the fact that Mr. Obama is the beneficiary of the incredible prestige and reputation of the mantle of president as established by his predecessors. How does that matter? Americans almost always, as a matter of course, give the president the benefit of the doubt. This is not insignificant in his re-election bid as he uses deception to his advantage.

A Corrupt and Biased Mainstream Media (MSM)

Volumes have been published on this one topic. Just today, our Paul Johnson posted an outstanding piece on this topic (if you have not read it entirely, I highly recommend you do). The MSM is not just biased, which is bad enough. Decisions are made all the time at the highest levels of news organizations relative to amount of content, type of content, and how the content is presented. A recent, obvious example of corruption in my opinion was MSNBC’s decision during the RNC coverage to cut away each time a minority speaker began their speech, choosing to “open up discussion” to their pundits. A more recent example is the extremely thin coverage last week of the largest destruction of United States aviation since 1968 in Vietnam. Did you hear about this terrible event? Neither had my wife and she follows the news from a number of MSM sources. Why did the MSM bury it? Because it does not fit the narrative that Obama is succeeding as commander in chief in the war in Afghanistan after making the terrible decision to give the Taliban a date certain we will leave. Examples are pervasive and numerous. I could go on and on but Paul Johnson covered it best in his piece.

Rhetorical Deception

What I meant here is Mr. Obama is an excellent liar. I’m not referring to a “poker face” as they say. He routinely lies with a smile on his face. How is this an advantage you ask? When combining intentional deception with a) the high reputation of the office of president, and b) the bias and corruption of the MSM, Mr. Obama can say almost anything to the American public and do so with impunity. Watch him. He is perfectly affable and genial as he lies in the face of major calamity. I believe Governor Romney will hold him accountable in the debates.

The MSM is in the process of revealing a probable cover-up by the Obama administration in which they knew of threats against the consulate prior to the attack. In short order after the news of the rare death of an American ambassador, Mr. Obama was partying it up with celebrities in Vegas and laughing it up on Letterman. Seriously! The assassination of a U.S. ambassador is an act of war. The last time an ambassador was assassinated was during the Carter administration, over 30 years ago! Remember the emotional indignation of President Reagan when the Berlin night club was destroyed by a terrorist and which prompted him to bomb Gaddafi’s home? There was no emotion by Obama or Clinton in any of their speeches. They read from prepared remarks with little emotion of any kind; then they turned those remarks into a video for Pakistanis to view as another form of American apology. Sure, they were serious. Within hours though, Mr. Obama was smiling and laughing again outside The White House. BTW, watch Mr. Obama. He refuses to use these three words: “assassination,” “terrorism,” and “evil.” There are many reasons for this which we can address at a later time.

Why is Mr. Obama’s lying deceit an advantage over Governor Romney? Because Governor Romney values integrity above all other character attributes of leadership. Barack Obama considers deception a tactic to success much like a military leader uses deception to out maneuver the enemy. In other words, for Mr. Obama, the end (getting re-elected because ‘my policies are most needed by the world’) justifies the means (lying). Lying is not an option available to Governor Romney.

Union Power and Corruption

Much has been documented over the decades of union power and corruption. It is not my objective here to prove it out all over again. Suffice to state that union bosses wield tremendous power over their members. They care little about local, state, or federal laws or ethics regulating pressure over their members’ voting freedom. If they can skate by the rules, they will. Do you think for a moment union members are not being bombarded by regular mailers, paycheck stuffers, and flyers handed them from their managers on how to get out the vote and how to vote? Union membership has diminished over the years but union influence among its members is as powerful as it ever was. Why is this advantage so important? The reason is that many of those who voted for Mr. Obama in 2008 may be disenchanted with him and may decide not to vote in November. But not the union members. They will vote in high numbers for Obama and many will vote en masse for him as they are bussed by the likes of Harry Reid and others like him. I will not line out the forms of corruption they are known for. Will Romney volunteers be more or less determined than union bosses and their members?

As volunteers and supporters of Mitt Romney for president, we must do everything we can now and in the next 40+ days to get involved. To make phone calls into the battleground states. Travel to the battleground states when organized and invited by the campaign. Ask your friends and family members to register to vote and ask them to ask their contacts to do the same. And then get them to vote. There is so much to do. There is so much we each can do! We will overcome the inherent advantages Mr. Obama possesses. Truth, honor, and integrity will prevail.

“Brutal Attacks” by Obama will Continue (Karl Rove)

The Wall Street Journal’s print edition today published its weekly op-ed by Karl Rove titled, “Rove: This Too Shall Pass, but What Follows Is Crucial

Karl Rove (Photo: Twitter @karlrove)

You know the old adage? The one that goes something like, “Opinions are like belly buttons . . . everyone has one.” Political junkies, like those of us that contribute to MRC, read a lot of political “chaff” in our efforts to find content we hope will enlighten and inspire. What I have found is that pundits and writers, by their very nature, are compelled to give their opinion one way or the other. And everyone wants to be a critic, even those that want Governor Romney to be president. Most of their content is frankly chaff, even when sailing is smooth.

I have found Karl Rove’s intellect, political insight, and experience to be a steady light in the tumultuous world of politics. For me, his humor also delivers his message with a certain immutable confidence and credibility. Excerpts from this week’s editorial:

It’s over. Gov. Mitt Romney’s statements last week about the storming of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, followed by the release this week of a video of Mr. Romney at a May fundraiser, have brought the 2012 election to an early end.

At least that is what you’d take away from some pundits. But this is a classic example of the commentariat investing moments with more meaning than they deserve.

Mr. Romney’s comments about Americans who don’t pay taxes were, as he admitted during a Monday press conference, “inelegant.” But every campaign has its awkward moments that the media magnify. Mr. Obama had his after saying on July 13, “You didn’t build that.” For a while thereafter, Team Obama could do little right. Then it passed.

This moment, too, will pass for Mr. Romney. More important, the past week’s events have not significantly altered the contours of the race. A month ago, Gallup had Mr. Obama at 45% and Mr. Romney at 47%. On Wednesday, Gallup reported 47% for Obama, 46% for Romney. A month ago Rasmussen said it was 45% for Mr. Obama, 43% for Mr. Romney. In its Wednesday poll, Rasmussen reported 46% for Obama, 47% for Romney.

Presidential races can look one way now but much differently on Election Day. In mid-September 1980, President Jimmy Carter led Ronald Reagan 44% to 40% in the Gallup poll. By late October, Reagan had slumped to 39% in Gallup, while Mr. Carter had risen to 47%. Reagan won by nine points.

As for the here-and-now, one key number to watch is Mr. Obama’s vote share. In the past month, there have been 83 national polls and daily tracking surveys. Mr. Obama reached 50% in just nine and his average was 47%. That is bad news for an incumbent when attitudes about the No. 1 issue—the economy—are decidedly sour.

This isn’t to suggest the Romney campaign doesn’t have big challenges. But both camps do.

In the two weeks before the presidential debates begin, Mr. Romney must define more clearly what he would do as president. In spelling out his five-point plan for the middle class, he’ll have to deepen awareness of how each element would help families in concrete, practical ways, and offer optimism for renewed prosperity.

Mr. Romney and his team (and supporters) must also steel themselves for more brutal attacks. The Florida fundraising video will not likely be the last surprise. The Romney campaign has largely refused to respond to attacks as a waste of time and resources. But in politics, sometimes the counter punch is stronger than the punch.

There’s little tolerance among Republican donors, activists and talking heads for more statements by Mr. Romney that the media can depict as gaffes. But concerns about avoiding missteps must not cause Mr. Romney to favor cautious and bland. To win, he’ll need to be bold and forceful as he offers a compelling agenda of conservative reform.

Mr. Obama’s challenges may be more daunting. His strategy hasn’t worked. Team Obama planned to use its big financial edge to bury Mr. Romney under negative ads over the summer. From April 15 to Labor Day, they spent an estimated $215 million on TV. But this was more than offset by conservative groups (principally American Crossroads, which I helped found). While Mr. Obama drained his coffers his own negatives climbed, and Mr. Romney partially repaired his image with voters.

Mr. Obama needs a different strategy, but his team seems stubbornly focused merely on disqualifying Mitt Romney by whatever argument or means necessary. Yet as Rahm Emanuel has repeated for most of the year, Mr. Obama must, as he put it on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sept. 2, “lay out an agenda and a clear vision of the next four years” or he’ll lose.
[…]
The campaign’s next likely inflection point will be the debates, which start Oct. 3. Both candidates will be under intense pressure.

Recovery, Not Dependency!!!

Recovery, Not Dependency

Recovery, Not Dependency!

While Obama was hittin’ up the club with Jay-Z and Beyonce, Mitt Romney was putting out a new op-ed. Romney’s focus is and always will be on growing the economy and restoring hope to the American worker. Read below:

Since our founding, America has promoted personal responsibility, the dignity of work and the value of education. Those values made our nation the hope of the earth and our economy the envy of the world.

Efforts that promote hard work and personal responsibility over government dependency make America strong. When the economy is growing and Americans are working, everyone involved has a shared sense of achievement, not to mention the basic sense of pride that comes with the paycheck they earn.

However, over the past four years, those kinds of opportunities have been in short supply. We’re experiencing the worst recovery since the Great Depression. Unemployment has been above 8% for 43 straight months; 47 million Americans are on food stamps. Nearly one in six Americans now live in poverty.

Under President Obama, we have a stagnant economy that fosters government dependency. My policies will create a growing economy that fosters upward mobility.

Government has a role to play here. Right now, our nation’s citizens do need help from government. But it is a very different kind of help than what President Obama wants to provide.

My experience has taught me that government works best when it creates the space for individuals and families to pursue success and achieve great things. Economic freedom is the only force that has consistently succeeded in creating sustained prosperity and lifting people out of poverty. It is why our economy rose to rival those of the world’s leading powers — and has long since surpassed them all.

The dreamers and the entrepreneurs, not government, built this economy, and they can once again make it strong.

My course for the American economy will encourage private investment and personal freedom. Instead of creating a web of dependency, I will pursue policies that grow our economy and lift Americans out of poverty.

My five-point plan will deliver the economic recovery we’ve all been waiting for and the jobs millions of Americans still need. This can be more than our hope; it can be our future. And it can start this November with your vote.

A DNC Reality Check: Facts to Truth (Are you better off?)

This week during the DNC we will hear all kinds of soaring rhetoric not unlike that of candidate Obama from the 2008 campaign. We will even hear from President Clinton and when you do, remember back to March when he said this of Mitt Romney:

“I don’t think that we ought to get into the position where we say ‘This is bad work. This is good work,'” Clinton said. “The man who has been governor and had a sterling business career crosses the qualification threshold.”

Clinton also went on to say that Romney’s time at Bain Capital represented a “good business career.”

As we begin a week of retread promises from Mr. Obama and his smiling surrogates, we need to keep this simple question in mind always:

Are you better off?

This week during the Democratic National Convention (and leading into the election), when you hear words like “invest” or any promised service or lower cost, ask yourself where they plan to get the funds for such “freebies” or subsidies. And remember that Mr. Obama and the Democrat congress currently do not operate from an approved budget, which means much higher deficit spending on top of Obama’s spectacular record deficits since 2009. It is our hope that the following information will serve as a reference guide for you to anchor the DNC words in truth and fact.

  • FACT: No incumbent president ever continued to blame his predecessor beyond the first year of his first term — doing so is a sign of weakness in leadership. President Obama continues to blame President Bush all four years of his term as president, never taking responsibility for any of his failed decisions or actions.
  • FACT: Candidate Obama stated it would take him three years (by end of 2011) to turn the economy around and if he didn’t, his tenure would be “a one-term proposition.” He failed miserably.
  • FACT: Candidate Obama in July 2008 called President Bush “irresponsible” and “unpatriotic” for increasing the national debt by no more that $458B per year while Mr. Obama wracked up almost three times that level at $1.35T per year! (Candidate Obama ran on a platform of deficit reduction)
  • FACT: The national debt when Obama took office in 2009 was at $10.6T and currently stands at $15.9T. By the end of Obama’s four years as president, he will have increased the national debt by more than all prior presidents combined from George Washington to George Bush. The highest in world history.
  • FACT: President Bush’s proposed budget increase for fiscal 2009 was 3%; the budget approved and implemented by the Democrat majorities increased spending by 17.9% in 2009.
  • FACT: When Obama took office in 2009 the unemployment rate was 7.8% and in 2012 it is at 8.2%. Obama promised that the stimulus would bring unemployment below 6%; the unemployment rate has been above 8% for 42 consecutive months with 23 million Americans currently out of work. No incumbent president in modern times has ever been re-elected with unemployment above 7.8%. The real unemployment rate is at approximately 16%. Unemployment is also being concealed by the between 3-4 million people who have been added to the Social Security disability insurance program since Obama took office.
  • FACT: Hispanic unemployment is currently at 10.3%; when including those too discouraged to look for work, the unemployment rate is 19%.
  • FACT: Median income when Obama took office was $54,983; three and half years later, median income has fallen by $4,019 to $50,964. There is no indication that median income will rise under President Obama.
  • FACT: Gasoline prices at the time Obama took office were $1.85/gallon. Today, they are at $3.78/gallon.
  • FACT: Average total federal spending as a percent of GDP under President Bush’s eight years was 19.6% (this is also the approximate historical average as well). Obama’s total federal spending as a percent of GDP is 24.4% and if you don’t think that change is much, do the math. This is by far the largest spending since World War II. President Obama’s proposed budget policies would bring the following levels of federal spending as a percentage of GDP to 30% by 2027, 40% by 2040, 50% by 2060, and 80% by 2080.
  • FACT: At the end of Bush’s second term, 24% of households received “means-tested” benefits such as welfare or food stamps. Not only has Obama increased these rolls to 35.1%, he has used marketing methods to encourage many more Americans to apply for food stamps. Additionally, about 50% of all Americans currently receive some type of government support according to the Census Bureau.
  • FACT: Barack Obama has never run even a tiny business and therefore has no business sense at all. Any assertions he makes about business ring hollow. He has no clue how to take a business from concept to long-term profitability, which includes making payroll, month in and month out. Evidence? His completely out-of-touch diatribe of business owners: “If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own! . . . If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that! Somebody else made that happen!”
  • FACT: Obama has created over 150,000 new unionized federal jobs with median incomes exceeding $70,000 plus benefits, during a time of astounding unemployment in the private sector and while Republican governors have been cutting back public payrolls.
  • FACT: Barack Obama never intended to keep the many promises he made in 2008. He is a man that has proven by inaction, that he is all talk. Mitt Romney has decades of experience driving to results. If he makes a promise, he will deliver on it. He is known for exceeding expectations relative to strategic goal setting.

As you listen to the many promises of largess this week, take a minute and reread each of the above bullet points to bring the oratory back to reality. Why should we even listen to Mr. Obama this time around let alone believe any promise or commitment he makes now?

Are you better off?

How does the old adage go? “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” Let the deceit, betrayal, duplicity, and hypocrisy end with you. Mitt Romney is one of the most talented and skilled people to ever seek the Office of President of The United States of America. It is time to vote for a proven executive leader and tell Mr. Obama “it is time to go.”

Presidents Obama & Clinton Rebuked by Parents of Fallen Warrior

As a father of five, it is unimaginable what it would be like to lose a son or daughter in death. Billy and Karen Vaughn lost their son Aaron Carson Vaughn a little over a year ago in Afghanistan while he served our nation during Operation Enduring Freedom. Aaron enlisted in the Navy in 2002 and became a SEAL in 2004. Relatively few SEALs earn a place in the highly secretive counter-terrorism and Special Mission Unit DEVGRU (SEAL Team Six); Aaron earned a place in the squad in 2010.

We of the MRC team extend our most sincere condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn in their time of grief and pain.

This week, Karen Vaughn expressed her outrage at Presidents Obama and Clinton for their “audacity” to create a political ad to state how Mr. Obama would have been politically damaged had the Osama bin Laden raid gone south in some way.

Quoting Aaron’s mother Karen Vaughn (referring to Obama and Clinton):

“How out of touch can a human being be?

“He is so out of touch with his insanity!”

“Disgusting insensitivity to the families that have lost warriors on the battlefield!

Clinton: “The downside would have been horrible for him.” [Obama]

President Obama is not much more than a politician that will do or say anything to retain power as President of the United States of America. He will be fully revealed in the next 60+ days and as he is, voters will quickly realize that Mitt Romney will do everything in his power to honor those who serve our country and never with an eye to retaining power.

Obama Cuts Military Support to Israel & Receives Near Silence during Speech at Fort Bliss

Israeli F-15C (Eagle) Fighters (Photo: Israeli Military)

In an exclusive article published yesterday, TimeWorld reported (Exclusive: U.S. Scales-Back Military Exercise with Israel, Affecting Potential Iran Strike) that the U.S. government has been attempting to quietly cut support of Israel militarily, providing the excuse of “budget restrictions.” What budget? This excuse is laughable and is nothing more than an excuse. And spending restrictions? When has the Obama administration ever “restricted” its spending? President Obama is going to start to cut spending now by doing so with Israel? The entire article is a must-read. [Hat Tip to Kevin Anderson for sending over the Fort Bliss article] Excerpts:

Seven months ago, Israel and the United States postponed a massive joint military exercise that was originally set to go forward just as concerns were brimming that Israel would launch a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The exercise was rescheduled for late October, and appears likely to go forward on the cusp of the U.S. presidential election. But it won’t be nearly the same exercise. Well-placed sources in both countries have told TIME that Washington has greatly reduced the scale of U.S. participation, slashing by more than two-thirds the number of American troops going to Israel and reducing both the number and potency of missile interception systems at the core of the joint exercise.

“Basically what the Americans are saying is, ‘We don’t trust you,’” a senior Israeli military official tells TIME.

Photo: JewishCenter.org

The reductions are striking. Instead of the approximately 5,000 U.S. troops originally trumpeted for Austere Challenge 12, as the annual exercise is called, the Pentagon will send only 1,500 service members, and perhaps as few as 1,200. Patriot anti-missile systems will arrive in Israel as planned, but the crews to operate them will not. Instead of two Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense warships being dispatched to Israeli waters, the new plan is to send one, though even the remaining vessel is listed as a “maybe,” according to officials in both militaries.
[…]
In the current political context, the U.S. logic is transparent, says Israeli analyst Efraim Inbar. “I think they don’t want to insinuate that they are preparing something together with the Israelis against Iran – that’s the message,” says Inbar, director of the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar-Ilan University. “Trust? We don’t trust them. They don’t trust us. All these liberal notions! Even a liberal president like Obama knows better.”

[emphasis added]

Mr. Obama’s support from active duty military service members and veterans alike has fallen substantially over the last year amid constant reports of intentionally leaking of classified intelligence including well placed assets, methods of operation, numbers of special operations personnel involved in missions, etc. His support for re-election continues to slide among those in the military. Could it be because our active duty service members have been well aware of Mr. Obama’s weakening partnership with one of America’s strongest allies? Consider as evidence the speech he gave yesterday at Fort Bliss, Texas.

Several articles reported the event with all of them mentioning the lackluster reception received by their commander in chief. One article (Obama speech to soldiers met with silence) by The Daily Caller provided a point by point account of the speech that fell flat throughout:

President Barack Obama was greeted with fleeting applause and extended periods of silence as he offered profuse praise to soldiers and their families during an Aug. 31 speech in Fort Bliss, Texas.

His praise for the soldiers — and for his own national-security policies — won cheers from only a small proportion of the soldiers and families in the cavernous aircraft-hanger.

The audience remains quiet even when the commander-in-chief thanked the soldiers’ families, and cited the 198 deaths of their comrades in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The audience’s reaction was so flat that the president tried twice to elicit a reaction from the crowd.

“Hey, I hear you,” he said amid silence. Click here to continue reading

Statesmanship and Leadership – Pres. Obama isn’t Cutting It

By Doug Stevens

I fear that with so much obfuscation and distracting issues spewing forth from the Obama Campaign that it will be very difficult for the public in general to clearly see the leadership chasm between the two candidates. Let me illustrate my concern.

Source: Creative Commons Attribution

The National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform (Simpson-Bowles Commission) was conceived and initiated by President Obama and first met on April 27, 2010. At its inception, it was heralded as much needed to form a bi-partisan approach to the accelerating debt problem. By the end of the year, the commission had issued a report. The bi-partisan commission was not able to reach consensus, but nonetheless produced a groundbreaking report. Of course in the recommendations there were a number of distasteful tenets to both parties, but there was a window of opportunity for President Obama to demonstrate decisive leadership and statesmanship in attempting to forge a compromise that could be accepted by both parties. As it was, there sat the report with no Presidential leadership and without any congressional action. And so, it was a missed opportunity to address a monumental problem.

My point is that a statesman and leader who initiated a commission should have used that moment in time to create an opportunity for at least some progress. Otherwise, why go through the effort? Click here to continue reading

“Obama’s America” and Dreams from His Father — 2016?

After seeing this movie, please leave a comment at this post to enlighten other readers to your opinion and critique of the film. Your comments can greatly influence others at this critical time of the election cycle.

Early this year, David Parker informed me of a film that would premiere later in the summer revealing the life of Barack Obama, a man few Americans knew or understood. His close friend Gerald R. Molen was producing the film and David informed me that his bringing the documentary to market had been at great personal sacrifice to Mr. Molen. Please take two minutes to read David Parker’s post from June about the film and watch the short trailer there.

After taking my daughter Bree to buy a laptop for college late last night, she asked if I wanted to see the Batman movie. I replied I would, but asked if she might see 2016: Obama’s America, a documentary. Expecting her to reply with a smart “no” she said, “Sure, I like documentaries.” So, I got to see the film a second time during my last daddy-daughter date and loved the film even more!

Barack returning to the grave of his father as depicted in the film, 2016: Obama’s America

Please do not postpone seeing this movie. Do not wait for video. I strongly believe this film is a must-see for all Americans, even for the youth of America that are not old enough today to vote. If you expect to see propaganda, this film is not that. If you expect to see fringe, “birther-type” content, this film is not that. If you expect to see a movie slamming President Obama, you are missing the point. This movie is powerful. Please see it right away and get as many others you know to see it; it is that important. You will be glad you did.

Following is one viewer’s critique of “2016” who goes by the call sign shamusst from Los Angeles:

Being in the entertainment industry, we usually get a stiff gulp of cynicism and self-proposed opinionated bias when watching a documentary. Having seen most of the documentaries made in L.A. and around the world, this one reveals all the relationships with all of Barak’s mentors and close friends that appear to be anti-American, anti-British and anti-Israeli.

The scene that disgusted me the most was when Barak’s preacher of 20 years, said he was offered 150 thousand dollars to shut his mouth about, about his and Barak’s relationship and history. That in it’s self, made me doubt why I voted for Barak, in 2008.

I had never seen or heard, any of this information on any of our networks. It makes me wonder what their agenda is? It definitely makes me wonder why self-proclaimed “Mao-ist,” right-hand woman (Valerie Jarrett)to the President, is in the White house. I love our country. I refuse to be fooled again by someone that has such contempt for our great country and it’s ally’s.

Find out why President Obama blocked oil drilling in and around the United States while using American taxpayer funds for drilling in Brazil, Mexico, and other Latin American countries. And much more.

If you have friends or family members living in any of the battleground states of Ohio, Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Iowa, Nevada, or Wisconsin, please contact them and implore them to see this movie. Much of the movie appears to be made using the words of Barack Obama from his audio book “Dreams From My Father.” The visuals of this film are beautiful and the editing is smart.

Once you have seen the film, please come back to this post and leave your comments so that others might benefit from your insight. If you too have already seen it, please leave your opinion in comments now. Let’s help get the word out so that as many Americans as possible might benefit from critical information that the mainstream media intentionally left out in the 2008 election cycle.

Why Obama is Running from Serious Reporters — (Strassel)

www.MittRomney.com (published in The Wall Street Journal, 8/16/12)

Three days ago, Kimberly Strassel’s weekly column from the Journal nailed it. The piece is titled, Why Republicans Can Win. At the time this MRC post was published, there were 159 really interesting comments at the WSJ article indicating the Democrats are seriously worried about this debate! I love it! Here is the last paragraph from Strassel’s excellent column:

This fear, this fundamentally changed political landscape, does not guarantee a Republican victory. But what it does promise is that if the Romney-Ryan ticket stays on offense—if it can fight to a draw on entitlements and leverage the powerful economic argument—then it has every shot at the White House.

As Paul Ryan would say: “Game on!” or “Bring it on!” or “We welcome this debate!”

So in thrall is the Beltway crowd to its received beliefs that it has missed this (minor) point: America looks nothing like it did even four years ago. The political landscape has been upended. And that is why Republicans can win this year.

As they have been winning. Those who insist the GOP loses when it talks entitlements have yet to explain Mr. Ryan. True fact: You can’t be the House Budget chairman without having won an election. That’s what Mr. Ryan has done, seven times, in a competitive Wisconsin district that contains senior citizens, independents and party moderates—and that voted Obama in 2008.

Kimberly A. Strassel (source: economics.wsj.com)

Save for his first run, he’s never earned less than 63% of the vote. And he’s done that by taking the entitlement fight to his opponents.

Ah, say the pros, but even Mr. Ryan couldn’t win an oldster state like Florida. Senior citizens will flip out. So they said in 2010, when Marco Rubio, in a debate with opponent Charlie Crist, suggested raising the retirement age and altering benefits to preserve Social Security. “Rubio just lost Florida!” screamed the Twitterverse.

Well, Sen. Marco Rubio is still talking about entitlement reform today. As are Republican Sens. Ron Johnson, Pat Toomey and Rob Portman, who beat Mediscare in swing states in 2010. As are dozens of House freshmen who ran on Mr. Ryan’s budget.

They won because something fundamental has changed in the electorate. Our country has been through recessions before. What it has not experienced is an administration that used an economic slowdown to spend America into a debt crisis. The debt numbers are today so extreme ($16 trillion, 70% of GDP), the consequences so real (credit downgrades, default), that voters are scared.

As Messrs. Obama and Biden continue to smile and swirl and squirm in their attempts to scare seniors and other Americans about Governor Romney’s plans to preserve Medicare, just refer back to Strassel’s simple logic and reasoning here. In the meantime, R&R will be taking it to O&B aggressively and relentlessly until they square with the American voter, or more likely, keep running from press conferences and experienced, serious reporters! I love it! Watch ’em do the dance.

Add to this the creeping nearness of an entitlement explosion. Social Security payouts already exceed revenue. Medicare could be bankrupt in eight years. In a 2011 Gallup poll, 67% of Americans agreed that Social Security and Medicare would create a financial crisis within a decade. Voters are willing to have this debate.

Then there’s the other dramatic political change, more recent: Voters for the first time have an honest entitlement choice. Democrats have for years claimed that the choice was between the status quo and GOP cuts. Then they passed ObamaCare. In doing so, they put themselves on record with their real plans for Medicare.

The president’s Affordable Care Act uses Medicare as a piggy bank, stripping today’s program of $716 billion. And the law’s way of dealing with the ensuing Medicare shortages is to empower a group of 15 individuals to make decisions on what medical services will need to be cut. So how does the Democratic Party intend to fix Medicare? Cut Medicare dollars, ration care. Now we know.

It is this Obama Medicare plan—not the status quo—that Republicans are running against. It is against this that they are contrasting Mr. Romney’s proposal to restore that $716 billion, to preserve existing benefits for those 55 and above, and to give younger Americans more options and continued quality care.

There is only one candidate gutting Medicare today: Mr. Obama. There is only one candidate who will preserve Medicare for future generations: Mr. Romney. That comparison is striking, and it blows up conventional wisdom.

In a Rasmussen survey this week, Florida voters were asked, “When it comes to the future of Medicare, which scares you more: President Obama’s health-care law or Paul Ryan’s proposal?” By 48% to 41%, Floridians were more scared of Mr. Obama’s $716 billion cut. And Floridians age 65 and up? By 54% to 34%—a 20 percentage-point difference—Florida seniors feared most an Obama future.

Democrats may not have good ideas, but they aren’t blind. They’ve felt the shifting landscape, lived through 2010, and they understand the threat of a bold reform politician.

That’s why Mr. Obama has personally spent such time the past two years publicly working to isolate and discredit Mr. Ryan. He’s not thrilled by the Ryan pick, oh no. He fears it.

[emphasis added]

Would you like another clue as to why we may win in November, with your help? Guess what happened in these key swing states last year? [Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina and Pennsylvania] What is your guess? 825,000 Democrats left the party and went Independent. Guess where Independent voters will likely go? Usually to the challenger, especially when the incumbent POTUS is not working and has done a terrible job in the saddle. For details, read this. R&R are excited as they should be. We need them to stay on offense, keep increasing the intensity, and never let up!

President Obama No Longer Fit to be Commander in Chief

Active duty military personnel cannot speak out against deplorable practices of the executive branch of The United States of America. However, veterans, friends, and former intelligence operatives of America can speak out on their behalf. They are doing so now.

[This editorial is the sole opinion of its author and is not intended to represent the opinions of any other person or entity]

Every branch of The United States military was involved in the operation that ended the reign of Osama bin Laden, as were many men and women of the intelligence services. It is they to whom this post is dedicated.

Normally, MRC would not post a video longer than a few minutes. I made an exception due to the importance of the message of this one. I don’t believe most Americans understand the grave nature of what President Obama has allowed to occur from the White House. Please watch this video, especially the last half (see caption below they symbol of the Navy SEAL at bottom).

Quote from the video:

“If we tell a **** terrorist we are coming to get him, how we find him, who is coming, how we are going to do it, me or some of my friends are going to die.” (~ Anonymous SOF Operator)

The extent to which President Obama exploited the bin Laden operation first came to my attention in February upon reading a powerful op-ed by former Navy SEAL, Leif Babin (see post here). I have been researching the extensive leaks ever since. Later this video was produced by a veterans group denouncing President Obama for his glory run.

DUTY - HONOR - COUNTRY

The men and women of our armed forces and intelligence services, by oath, place their lives ahead of self interest and are committed to lay down their lives to save those working next to them and for their country. President Obama also gave an oath to protect the Constitution of The United States of America. It is obvious that by consistently allowing senior White House officials to leak methods of operations and other classified secrets for political gain, Mr. Obama is no longer fit to be Commander in Chief. For he alone has reduced his standing to pedantic politician. His motives are purely political now. Evidence: Since Labor Day 2011, he has spent virtually no time attempting to do his job as POTUS; rather he has been campaigning or resting (golfing) from his campaign ever since.

A true leader gives all the credit to those he or she leads. A true leader takes full responsibility for his failures under his charge. President Obama has done neither of these. President Obama is not a leader and never has been a leader in the classic definition of that word.

Thousands of dedicated women and men of America’s armed forces and intelligence services were involved in the bin Laden raid. I believe the caption below typifies the state of mind of these, our patriots, and all American service members:

Humility: The Trident is a symbol of that humility. In the Trident of a Navy SEAL, the majestic eagle has his head bowed. Without humility, the Navy SEAL knows he cannot learn. Without humility, the Navy SEAL in all likelihood will die on the battlefield. Humility helps them to learn and live to their full potential.
