Last night, several notable “Tea Party-ers” gathered for a “Unity Rally” at The River Church here in Tampa. The list of speakers was impressive and some of the headliners were Neil Boortz, Herman Cain, Michelle Bachman, Pam Bondi, and Rebecca Kleefisch.

Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch (who, like Gov. Scott Walker, got to run and win her office/term TWICE!) did a great job energizing the crowd for the Romney/Ryan ticket (1 minute video below).

Herman Cain was his usual entertaining self and used some of his time to show how hard he’s willing to work for the future of our country by making sure that Obama doesn’t serve another term. He said he doesn’t feel spurned by not getting a speaking slot at GOP convention; that he favors time for younger ABCs (American Black Conservatives) like Mia Love.

Mia, current mayor of Saratoga Springs, is running for Congress in Utah and has been endorsed in that race by Mitt Romney.

The Tea Party Folks here last night seemed genuinely excited to get Romney/Ryan in the White House!

A great post Jeff! Thanks for getting us this glimpse of conference events!

Love Cain’s comments about this not being about him! Governor Romney has said that about himself many times. Such contrary messages by comparison to Obama’s rhetoric.

Thanks for taking the time to give us this wonderful report, Jeff! When one is in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a national convention, it’s difficult to find time to put a post together. I appreciate it.

It’s good to hear of ongoing “unity” activities. If we don’t want Obama/Biden to have another four years in office, without the constraint of reelection, everyone who loves freedom and supports our founding principles MUST work their heads off for Romney/Ryan.

According to libs media, we black conservatives are 0%. yeah, right. Ridiculous.
Please Utah elect Mia Love!!! She’ll be historical figure for congress. She sounds great on different interviews. I remember reading Ann and one of her son endorsed Mia Love, but i don’t remember Mitt Romney endorsement, though.

    Utah, Support Mia Love!

  4. Jeff Fuller says:

Well said AFR!!! I’ll have to check on those Romney endorsements … I could be wrong and am repeating what someone told me.

    Re: Tea Party
My daughter called from Idaho to say that the tea party would be holding a rally in Washington. She said meet me there. I did. We met many wonderful people, I made a sign for the march. It read “Stand up America, they did!” I listed : My Father,WW2 - Father-in-Law, 101Airborne-lost a leg in
Germany. Brother- Navy-Korea. Brother-purple heart-Korea, Business partner-Black Sheep squadron-Korea, Friend, navy pilot, Pacific-WW2. Friend-Pilot-WW2, Korea, Vietnam. Crashed his plane in China after a bombing mission, lost a son in Vietnam.
That morning I showed my sign to a group of Vets , one in a wheelchair who teared up after reading my sign. I marched down Pennsylvania Ave. with an 80 yr old Vet wearing his medals on his shirt. At three that afternoon I was in front of the capital when I spotted an older man with a sign that read. Prisoner of War-WW2, Battle of the Bulge. I stepped out to shake his hand. He said, ” I have been looking for you all day.” ” I heard about your sign at 8:30 this morning.”His son, who was helping him said. ‘ It’s a miracle that we found her in this crowd.’ He thanked me and his son said, “Can we please go home now, dad”? That was the type of radical crowd that marched that day. I will never forget the march or the wonderful people. A million people at least.
