Romney Scorecard…Future Delegates…Observations

Observations:

  • Just about the time I think Obama is going to do the right thing, he he does exactly the opposite. What was the relevance of his saying anything about ObamaCare when he knew the Court was working through it? There was no relevance, except to attempt to influence the justices — and if that was his motive (I think it was), it was deplorable and politically, it was stupid. He is such a rookie. Somewhere I heard he was a constitutional law expert.
  • In previous observations, I stated that Santorum was smart. As he is now very near a state of humiliation, I am rethinking that assertion. That said, he is taking four days off for Easter. I think there is a 51% chance Santorum will announce he is quitting next week. The only reason I did not give it a higher probability is because for Santorum to do the right thing, he would have to swallow his pride and humble himself — both are highly unlikely until after Easter. The humility moment will likely occur when Karen grabs him by both ears and says, “Rick, you fought hard, but this is not about you!”
  • Today, Gingrich declared bankruptcy in his “think tank.” Need we use up more real estate on this page about Mr. Gingrich? What else is there to discuss?
  • ****** A pretty good online resource for remaining primaries to bookmark is HERE. ******

Santorum’s legacy will be determined by what he does in the next few weeks. Even then, if he were to lose Penn (and that “if” is becoming a “when”), I could see him possibly fighting for the remaining south and midwest states in a rage laden pursuit of vengeance, but coming up short. He is more focused on being high priest than president as it is anyways. I’m disappointed that Sarah stood up for Santorum after his outburst. I’ve never seen her lose her composure like that to a reporter or use such crass language.

As for Newt, he had the chance to win numerous times, but spent it yakking about moon bases and other nonsense. He has reasonable ideas, but he’s not effective in making them appeal to larger audiences. One of his campaign images was that of him in the middle with Chuck Norris, JC Watts, Mike Reagan, Fred Thompson and some other random people fanning out from behind. He should have had more of a presence in Oklahoma and Tennessee instead of Georgia. He could have won those states. Mitt didn’t have to campaign in Mass as he knew was guaranteed a win there and focused on Ohio to get the win there. The delegate scoreboard was another joke. Newt lost Mississippi and Alabama. That was his last shot. Nothing could defeat his ego. His supporters are either voting for Mitt or Santo as if he has already quit.

Perhaps he and Santo read select comments on freerepublic to make themselves feel viable since members there are only allowed to delude themselves about their non-Romney primary candidates chances of winning (or verbally abuse the other guys candidate).

      Adam,

Is there a link to the “Sarah stood up for Santorum” outburst?

    3. Adam R. says:

I’m referring to her saying that Rick was right to stand up to the reporters (ie scream bull****) in regards to the question about his remarks about Mitt. It’s probably on FOX or somewhere.

If Obama wins, we all lose. Watch the mass migration of successful freedom loving people who refuse to sit back and watch our country be ruined. Watch the mass migration of companies who will refuse to operate in a nation with the highest taxes in the world. Watch the United States crumble when decent hard working people flee for greener pastures and all you are left with is those who sponge off the entitlements you love so much.
