Just One of the Differences Between MassCare and ObamaCare

There will be more info on the numerous differences to come. For the mean-time I’d like to thank Brian Higginson for the cartoon. Brian has done some artwork for our site already: the revamped MR12 logo, as well as some designs for T-shirts that we hope to roll out soon. We’re proud to announce he has agreed to join our team as the resident cartoonist, so there will be more cartoons to come. Brian doesn’t conceive the idea for the cartoon he just draws them, so if you have some ideas feel free to send them to us by using our contact e-mail form. Please keep in mind that we will only be publishing cartoons every few weeks.

Thanks to all for visiting our site!

  5. Dinah Chance says:

Great analogy! The picture speaks a thousand words.

  6. Lori says:

Love the sheepish look on the donkey’s face! Priceless.

  7. Marvin says:

The biggest difference to Republicans is that Romney has an R by his name.

And remember Obama’s health care reform is actually very very similar to the GOP plans from the early 90s. It’s a very centrist plan that has absolutely no form of “government takeover” in it.

It’s really insane the things people believe about health care reform. Why do so many of you folks just gobble up all of the GOP lies? Even when they are shown to be lies over and over and over again?

  8. GOP lies?

    Tell me Marvin:
Is this plan a federal plan that overrides the states’ sovereignty?

Is the IRS going to be in charge of its enforcement?

Is it not true that some states received some special benefits in order to receive votes for its passage?

Is it not true that the government will attempt to control the cost of Health Insurance by adding price caps to procedures?

Is it not true that dozens of new agencies and panels and other bureaucracies will be formed to implement this plan?

Is it not true that dozens of large companies have published their estimates that this new bill will cost them millions, billions in some cases?

Does this bill open up Insurance markets to allow people to buy across state lines?

Does this bill have strict language to will prohibit federal funds from being used for abortion? Has Obama given his “royal decree” yet to prohibit the funding of abortions?

Is it not true that it is out of the jurisdiction of the US Congress to impose requirements on the states to provide for the implementation of such a plan?

Is it not true that is is out of the jurisdiction of the US Congress to impose and individual mandate on citizens to buy something they do not want?

You want to talk lies Marvin? What about Obama’s claim this this bill would not cost the US taxpayers one dime? Aren’t businesses taxpayers as well? Billions lost by companies mean thousands upon thousands of lost jobs. This legislation is reckless economic policy at best. It is a bloated monstrosity. It is not bi-partisan. It is not even the will of the people. It simply must go.

    @Marvin

    You just got schooled!

  10. Aaronius says:

@Marvin You want some mashed potatoes with that roast?

  11. Claire says:

This cartoon is cute, but I am very interested in seeing the actual differences between Mitt’s healthcare and Obama’s spelled out in real words. I have relatives who live in MA and can’t understand why we would oppose ObamaCare when “it works in MA”.

    Thanks so much!
