Before Debate Ended, Obama Cronies Concocted ‘Liar’ Meme Against Romney

10 minutes before Barack Obama’s presidential debate face-plant ended, his panicked, damage-control, political toadies pressed speed-dial – pronto!

Before Barack Obama and Mitt Romney even gave their closing statements, the conclusion of that cobbled-together, conspiratorial conference call was: The only way to stop Romney is to relentlessly label him – LIAR:

New York Times:

On the conference call convened by aides in Denver and Chicago even as the candidates were still on stage, there was no debate in the Obama campaign about the debate. None of the advisers fooled themselves into thinking it was anything but a disaster. Instead, they scrambled for ways to recover. They resolved to go after Mr. Romney with a post-debate assault on his truthfulness. Ad makers were ordered to work all night to produce an attack ad.

Rich Lowry, in yesterday’s New York Post, writes: Team O’s pathetic ‘liar, liar’ attack

Credit President Obama’s aides with discernment. Even before the first presidential debate was over, they knew they needed to come up with an excuse, and fast. They settled on one they haven’t stopped repeating: Mitt Romney lied his way to victory.

[insert sarcasm] The president would’ve rebutted Romney’s gross deceptions, except he was too focused on answering questions about the country’s future and too taken aback by Romney’s brazenness to answer in real time. Although once he had a day or two and his witty rejoinders were cued up in a teleprompter, he was absolute hell on Romney.

The case that Romney lied so brazenly that it undid the president rests, first, on the idea that the Republican misrepresented his own tax-reform plan. Obama said that Romney proposes to cut taxes by $5 trillion over 10 years. Romney denied it. The president’s team responded, with its customary civility and nuance: “Liar!”

But this isn’t even a close call. Romney wants to cut income-tax rates 20 percent across the board and make up the revenue by closing loopholes and deductions. This isn’t a tax cut; it’s a wash. It’s been Romney’s plan ever since he proposed it during the primaries. It’s such a simple concept that only willful obtuseness keeps the president or his team from understanding it.

If Romney proposed a 1 percent across-the-board cut on rates and the elimination of all loopholes and deductions, surely Obama would accuse him of wanting to raise taxes, because people would be paying more in taxes despite lower rates.

In fact, this is the approach of the president’s own Simpson-Bowles debt commission: It suggested lower rates and fewer deductions such that the federal government would garner more revenue.

Obama’s thuggery team are falsely crowing that the real Romney didn’t show up at the debate.

Yes, he did.

67 million people saw Romney as he really is – smart, prepared, patriotic, competent, compassionate, hard-hitting while affable, and a true leader who can think on his feet. How satisfying it was to have the corrupt mainstream media manacled on the sidelines for 90 minutes! Where is the real Obama? He’s America’s magistrate of masquerade. Every time we turn around we see a different version of the man. For nearly four years, he’s gotten away with saying one thing and doing another. Remember when our contrived Commander-in-Chief called for greater civility in the public discourse?

“At a time when our discourse has become so sharply polarized, at a time when we are far too eager to lay the blame for all that ails the world at the feet of those who think differently than we do, it’s important for us to pause for a moment and make sure that we are talking with each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds.” – Barack Obama, January 11, 2012

Oh, the sanctimony of phony baloney Barack… He laps up fawning words that cover for HIM; not so for the other guy. Blogger Doug Giles zings the excuses liberal talking heads dreamed up for Obama’s ignominious implosion (before getting the ‘liar Mitt’ memo):

Another rather amusing post-debate kabuki show the Left put on was the ridiculous excuses for Obama’s feckless performance during that 90-minute flogging by Romney.

One of my favorites was Al Gore’s “the high altitude got to him”… Obama wasn’t acclimated and thus he was a wee bit discombobulated. First off, Obama’s used to being high; he spent his entire college years Rocky Mountain high. Please. Secondly, didn’t he give his yippee-ki-yay DNC speech back in ‘08 in Denver? I think he did. Google it and get back to me, Al.

Second on my list of favorite excuses regarding Obama’s clock getting cleaned came from Bob Woodward who surmised that Obama was abysmal that night because he received some heavy bad news prior to the debate that had him distracted and upset. This could be a legit reason. Maybe something in the Middle East had gone awry? Nah, that couldn’t be it because after the Benghazi massacre he was able to party with Jay-Z and Beyoncé and fly to Vegas with no problemo whatsoever.

Democrat Pat Caddell: “Truth You Are Not Allowed to Know!”

If only I could show this video to every American 15 years and older! Rather than quote Pat Caddel here, you need to see his delivery. Every second of this four minute clip is extraordinary candor and truth. Key segments are at times 0:55, 1:20, 2:10, and 2:40. The segment that is the most terrifying to me is at 2:40 when he becomes infuriated at the fact the media has determined what truth we as Americans will hear and what truth we are not allowed to hear.

How do we get this to every Democrat, Independent, and undecided voter in America? Do they care that the founders’ creation of checks and balances of an unrestricted press is being thwarted by a press that has left “the ramparts” to join one side?

Folks, this is truly scary in my opinion. If we are to stop this, we must do everything we can in the next four weeks to take action to help elect Mitt Romney in the battleground states!

Youth Featured in New Romney Ad: Obama’s “No, I Can’t?” We Must and Will!

The Romney Campaign has put out a great ad today that seems to sum up the attitudes of today’s Millennial generation.

We have only 42 days left before America votes – Now is the time for advocacy; now is the time to elevate our message of freedom. As a reader of this blog, we encourage and invite you to dig a little deeper and reach out to others – share the message of freedom. Develop an email list, use social media, engage in daily conversations – share the message of freedom and liberty.

Knowledge is power. The more we know and the better informed we are, the more effective we can be. The media is filled with bias and, at times, it is difficult to discern truth. We have witnessed a mainstream media that knows no bounds – they suppress or distort truth and they filter what they report so as to promote and protect the President. The cable news shows, MSNBC, CNN, and others are so far in the tank for the President, it is difficult at best to tolerate their reporting. Further, the current polls are so skewed, they offer little relief in knowing where things really stand. Amidst it all, FoxNews tries its best at fair and balanced. The internet can also provide a plethora of information, some of which is true and some not. So, where can we go for critical and accurate information?

The Drudge Report is a tremendous aggregator of information. Matt Drudge is the bane of the mainstream media and accused by them of bias, which is a testament of Drudge’s integrity!
Real Clear Politics is another aggregator without a perceived bias.
Mitt Romney Central – biased as we may be, we strive for accuracy and integrity in our information.
Hugh Hewitt – Hugh does a tremendous job at providing information with integrity and substance. He has his bias, but clearly delineates what is opinion.
On The Brink FB page – I try to link to substantive information regularly in support of the tenets of On The Brink, America’s Choice 2012
Mitt Romney Central FB – Again, we strive for accuracy and integrity in our posts.
Dennis Prager – an intelligent and cogent source for information.
National Review – Rich Lowry has done an admiral job in trying to distill truth amid the cacophony of news.

There are several others, some of which can be inflammatory in their reporting in an attempt to elevate the debate, such as Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity. Even so, they provide fodder for provocative thought and further study. There are others, but I have found those above to be informative.

The need to be informed has never been greater as we fight for our freedoms and liberties.

As to polls, below is a report card of accuracy and consistency from the 2008 election cycle.

Romney’s Leadership & Integrity will Trump Obama’s Four Inherent Advantages

The mission of this website (MRC) is very simple: We are a grassroots blog dedicated to the election of the finest leader to ever run for President of the United States: Mitt Romney. As a blog, we provide information of course to keep you informed, but our mission is to influence readers to take action; to join us in making a difference. If our presence on the Internet does not translate to energetic action in support of Mitt Romney, we have failed. If you have followed MRC for more than a few weeks, you have seen me start some of my posts with “We are going to win!” I have been steadfast in that declaration and I stand by it now.

That said, as in any competitive endeavor, we can lose. This contest is a simple one. The winner will be the candidate that receives the majority of electoral votes, which depends entirely on which candidate gets the largest number of people to cast ballots. Simple. If you are like me, you have gotten a bit nervous these past 10 days or so (or six months) watching with dismay as the mainstream media (MSM) spins everything to favor Mr. Obama. But you know what? It is what it is. The MSM will not change in the next 43 days, so we must overcome this enormous disadvantage with – as my father would say – sheer hard work; we must outwork the opposition.

As I see it, Mr. Obama has four significant advantages that Governor Romney does not and will have between now and November 6th. All of them are inherent with Barack Obama as a person, his party, and his office. In no particular order they are:

  1. Incumbency: As POTUS, Obama has Prestige of Office and Inherent Credibility
  2. A Corrupt and Biased Mainstream Media
  3. Rhetorical Deception
  4. Union Power and Corruption

Incumbency: As POTUS, Obama has Prestige of Office and Inherent Credibility

The advantages of running for re-election as a sitting president are roughly akin to the Yankees (largest payroll in the MLB at $200M) playing the Padres ($55M) in the World Series. Many advantages are obvious such as the unlimited use of Air Force One used to travel to fundraisers and the ability to invite anyone to the White House, etc. The others are less obvious but definitely crucial in a re-election bid, such as prestige of the office and the credibility of actually being the current POTUS. Think about it. The prestige and credibility of the office of POTUS were established by the reputations of predecessors such as Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln, and other incredible patriots of the last century and modern era. For reasons I lay out below, I strongly believe Barack Obama has not nearly lived up to the high standards Americans expect of their president. But that does not change the fact that Mr. Obama is the beneficiary of the incredible prestige and reputation of the mantle of president as established by his predecessors. How does that matter? Americans almost always, as a matter of course, give the president the benefit of the doubt. This is not insignificant in his re-election bid as he uses deception to his advantage.

A Corrupt and Biased Mainstream Media (MSM)

Volumes have been published on this one topic. Just today, our Paul Johnson posted an outstanding piece on this topic (if you have not read it entirely, I highly recommend you do). The MSM is not just biased, which is bad enough. Decisions are made all the time at the highest levels of news organizations relative to amount of content, type of content, and how the content is presented. A recent, obvious example of corruption in my opinion was MSNBC’s decision during the RNC coverage to cut away each time a minority speaker began their speech, choosing to “open up discussion” to their pundits. A more recent example is the extremely thin coverage last week of the largest destruction of United States aviation since 1968 in Vietnam. Did you hear about this terrible event? Neither had my wife and she follows the news from a number of MSM sources. Why did the MSM bury it? Because it does not fit the narrative that Obama is succeeding as commander in chief in the war in Afghanistan after making the terrible decision to give the Taliban a date certain we will leave. Examples are pervasive and numerous. I could go on and on but Paul Johnson covered it best in his piece.

Rhetorical Deception

What I meant here is Mr. Obama is an excellent liar. I’m not referring to a “poker face” as they say. He routinely lies with a smile on his face. How is this an advantage you ask? When combining intentional deception with a) the high reputation of the office of president, and b) the bias and corruption of the MSM, Mr. Obama can say almost anything to the American public and do so with impunity. Watch him. He is perfectly affable and genial as he lies in the face of major calamity. I believe Governor Romney will hold him accountable in the debates.

The MSM is in the process of revealing a probable cover-up by the Obama administration in which they knew of threats against the consulate prior to the attack. In short order after the news of the rare death of an American ambassador, Mr. Obama was partying it up with celebrities in Vegas and laughing it up on Letterman. Seriously! The assassination of a U.S. ambassador is an act of war. The last time an ambassador was assassinated was during the Carter administration, over 30 years ago! Remember the emotional indignation of President Reagan when the Berlin night club was destroyed by a terrorist and which prompted him to bomb Gaddafi’s home? There was no emotion by Obama or Clinton in any of their speeches. They read from prepared remarks with little emotion of any kind; then they turned those remarks into a video for Pakistanis to view as another form of American apology. Sure, they were serious. Within hours though, Mr. Obama was smiling and laughing again outside The White House. BTW, watch Mr. Obama. He refuses to use these three words: “assassination,” “terrorism,” and “evil.” There are many reasons for this which we can address at a later time.

Why is Mr. Obama’s lying deceit an advantage over Governor Romney? Because Governor Romney values integrity above all other character attributes of leadership. Barack Obama considers deception a tactic to success much like a military leader uses deception to out maneuver the enemy. In other words, for Mr. Obama, the end (getting re-elected because ‘my policies are most needed by the world’) justifies the means (lying). Lying is not an option available to Governor Romney.

Union Power and Corruption

Much has been documented over the decades of union power and corruption. It is not my objective here to prove it out all over again. Suffice to state that union bosses wield tremendous power over their members. They care little about local, state, or federal laws or ethics regulating pressure over their members’ voting freedom. If they can skate by the rules, they will. Do you think for a moment union members are not being bombarded by regular mailers, paycheck stuffers, and flyers handed them from their managers on how to get out the vote and how to vote? Union membership has diminished over the years but union influence among its members is as powerful as it ever was. Why is this advantage so important? The reason is that many of those who voted for Mr. Obama in 2008 may be disenchanted with him and may decide not to vote in November. But not the union members. They will vote in high numbers for Obama and many will vote en masse for him as they are bussed by the likes of Harry Reid and others like him. I will not line out the forms of corruption they are known for. Will Romney volunteers be more or less determined than union bosses and their members?

As volunteers and supporters of Mitt Romney for president, we must do everything we can now and in the next 40+ days to get involved. To make phone calls into the battleground states. Travel to the battleground states when organized and invited by the campaign. Ask your friends and family members to register to vote and ask them to ask their contacts to do the same. And then get them to vote. There is so much to do. There is so much we each can do! We will overcome the inherent advantages Mr. Obama possesses. Truth, honor, and integrity will prevail.

Obama, Failing American Families

Below are two of Mitt Romney’s latest ads, mostly broadcast in swing states. There is no doubt about the battle ahead: Mitt Romney, principles, integrity and freedom vs Barack Obama, the mainstream media, Labor Unions, lies (say and do whatever it takes to retain power), dependency and debt. The lines are drawn and America will have a clear choice. Even so, Obama and his cronies will conform their message with guile and duplicity to try and purchase our society. The agendas are clear, and so must be the message. Obama will shade his message to appeal to all with a “flaxen cord” approach trying to reel us in before binding us in untenable chains of debt and subordination. Romney will deliver a message of reason, rationale and hope for restoring what made America great and exceptional; a strong and free economy; a strong and free America that defends freedom around the world. Romney will also have to call Obama out for his lies and those of the media. The cause is freedom and it is worth the fight!

The messaging of these two ads are indicative of some of what we will see in the future. You have to ask the question, how do you feel when viewing the ads?

Further, the upcoming debates will have a profound affect on the hearts and minds of American’s. Our prayers should be with Governor and Mrs. Romney, and Paul Ryan and their advisors, that they might be endowed with discernment in knowing how to communicate their messages of light and truth that will resonate with American’s and the world, and further how to expose the lies and deceit of those who seek to flatter America to its demise.

Obama In His Own Words! Truth Revealed! VIDEO

Obama’s double speak and duplicity have no bounds! The fact’s remain that ultimately truth proves itself out in one’s actions and in consequence. In spite of a tacit coordination by the Obama campaign and the massive mainstream media to shield the public from truth, there are no exceptions as time will ultimately reveal truth. Watch the video below and judge for yourself!

Appreciating that any criticism of the ‘anointed one’ draws the ire of the mainstream media, this self-appointed public relations advocacy group has a clear agenda: 1) protect Obama, 2) promote Obama, and 3) diminish any who oppose Obama. What is disconcerting is the acceptance of Obama’s lies and distortions by the media and others. Why? Rather than vet the truth, they prefer to perpetuate the lies and distortions. Instead of being disciplined in independent discovery of facts (which they can be very good at), they ignore facts to comport with their advocacy. It has been said, that distortions left unchecked become reality in the minds of people. Therefore it is imperative that the American people demand truth and hold people accountable for their lies and distortions.

We live in interesting times. As evidenced with the events of this past week, we live amid tumult and commotion. If ever there was a time for truth, it is now! If ever there was a time for a leader to lead our nation with substance over flattering words, truth over distortion, competence over ego and pride, and promises kept – it is now! Unfortunately, that leader is NOT Barack Obama.

The above video is revelatory in its substance and in Obama’s own words. His promises, which he never intended to be kept, are revealed in his duplicity and guile. As an American concerned for my children and grandchildren’s future, my prayers and petitions Heavenward are that American will WAKE UP and realize that Barack Obama is not who he purports to be; he does not have their interests first; he is self absorbed; he is committed to create an America where our freedoms and liberties are undermined; and among many other things, he is committed to socialize our society with overburdened debt and dependency on a sovereign state. What is frightening is that the messenger of America’s dissembling is charismatic and charming, and with flattering words that have shielded his ideologic agenda, he leads America down a path of pacification and bondage.

Again, in my book, On The Brink, America’s Choice 2012, I offer a quotation by Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor in the late 1700′s: “A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.

From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.

The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. from bondage to spiritual faith
2. from spiritual faith to great courage
3. from courage to liberty
4. from liberty to abundance
5. from abundance to complacency
6. from complacency to apathy
7. from apathy to dependence
8. from dependence back into bondage

Obama’s words are deceptive, but his actions are clear; the more apathetic and dependent we become as a nation, we will ultimately return to the bondage that our forefathers sought independence from! WAKE UP AMERICA!

Main Stream Media & Middle East: Irrationally Vilify Romney to Protect Obama

Protesters rip an American flag pulled down from the U.S. embassy in Cairo as they hoist a black flag similar to an Al Qaeda banner on Sept. 11, 2012. (PHOTO – Mohammed Abu Zaid/AP)

Four Americans, including our Libyan ambassador, have been murdered by radical Islamists. Additional embassy employees have been injured. (No Marines to protect our embassy on the 11th anniversary of 9/11… Huh?) Chaos and violence continues to spread throughout the middle east; angry crowds in Tunisia, Yemen, Iraq, Oman, along with demonstrators in Egypt, continue to fill the streets. The Muslim Mafiahood Brotherhood is calling for DEATH TO AMERICA and a massive protest after prayers on Friday. Our sovereign property, American embassies, have been breached, our fences covered in graffiti, items stolen, vehicles torched, emblems torn down, and our flags are burning. Along with our Egyptian embassy, U.S. embassies in at least nine other countries are warning of further attacks and urge Americans to curtail activities in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Armenia, Burundi, Bangladesh, Kuwait, Sudan, Tunisia and Zambia.

In the midst of this mayhem, pandemonium, and visceral display of hatred for America, guess what bothers the mainstream media the most?

Mitt Romney.

He responded to the chaos.

Headlines, commentary, tweets, etc shout “How dare he?!”

Yes, it’s driving them nuts – more than the attacks themselves.

Thanks to new media, we’ve learned a nasty little secret about the traveling press corp following Romney. They coordinated ‘GOTCHA’ questions to demonize Mitt Romney for having the audacity to issue a statement on Obama’s unguarded reaction to these events. Listen to the voices of CBS reporter Jan Crawford and Ari Shapiro from NPR:

CBS REPORTER: Yeah that’s the question. I would just say do you regret your question.

UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Your question? Your statement?

CBS REPORTER: I mean your statement. Not even the tone, because then he can go off on…

UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: And then if he does, if we can just follow up and say ‘but this morning your answer is continuing to sound…’ – *becomes unintelligble*

CBS REPORTER: You can’t say that..

The transcript also noted this exchange, with a man Graham said is not Shapiro:

CBS REPORTER: I’m just trying to make sure that we’re just talking about, no matter who he calls on we’re covered on the one question.

UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Do you stand by your statement or regret your statement?

There is more information here.

Here’s just one example of the relentless mainstream media assault on Romney (from Obama-loving CNN): Richard Williamson, Romney’s Senior Foreign Policy Adviser was interviewed by Chris Lemon yesterday (Hat tip to Matt Hadro on Newsbusters; see transcript and more here.):

Headline from the Wall Street Journal yesterday: Romney Offends the Pundits

Tuesday’s assaults on the U.S. Embassies in Benghazi and Cairo have injected foreign policy into the Presidential campaign, but suddenly the parsons of the press corps are offended by the debate. They’re upset that Mitt Romney had the gall to criticize the State Department for a statement that the White House itself disavowed.

We’re referring to the statement issued Tuesday under the headline “U.S. Embassy Condemns Religious Incitement.”

Mr. Romney reacted late Tuesday with his own statement: “I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi. It’s disgraceful that the Obama Administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.”

The Obama Presidential campaign jumped on the remarks Wednesday as inappropriate, yet a “senior Administration official” had told the website Politico later on Tuesday night that “The statement by Embassy Cairo was not cleared by Washington and does not reflect the views of the United States government.” So the White House can walk away from its own diplomats, but Mr. Romney can’t criticize them?

As Tuesday’s events showed, pandering to Islamists who would use the video to inflame anti-American sentiment isn’t going to stop the protests.

His political faux pax was to offend a pundit class that wants to cede the foreign policy debate to Mr. Obama without thinking seriously about the trouble for America that is building in the world.

It’s appalling how the mainstream media is tripping over themselves to condemn Romney – especially BEFORE uttering a word of condemnation for the terrorists. We continue to see a shameful lock-step march to shield our call-the-shots-from-behind President. The way they’ve portrayed Romney’s words as far more important than the actual events is insane!

Yesterday, while speaking to CBS News’ 60 Minutes correspondent Steve Kroft, (an institution where Obama walks on water), Obama attempted to minimize Romney for his reaction to the Cairo embassy attack: “Governor Romney seems to have a tendency to shoot first and aim later.” Tripe! Then, with sickening photos of our battered, fallen ambassador racing across the internet and middle east foreign policy unraveling, Obama skipped out on the daily security briefing (he’s missed half of them since being elected) and sashayed off to a fundraiser in Las Vegas.

Crass – just crass.

Romney Brothers in Demand at GOP Convention: FOX & Friends, Megyn Kelly Interview, Speak to Delegates

While tropical storm Isaac churns across the U.S. Gulf Coast into what is expected to be a strong Category 1 or 2 hurricane, formal events cancelled at the GOP convention today in Tampa, FL, afforded a plethora of opportunities for politicians, politicos and attendees to mingle.

The Romney brothers, in full force at the convention, are in high demand. They were interviewed early this morning by FOX & Friends’ Steve Doocy AND also later appeared on FOX News’ America Live with Megyn Kelly.

Here’s the FOX & Friends interview (video of the Megyn Kelly interview is at the end of this article):

During the interview, a viewer tweeted a question: Describe your father using one word…

Craig: “Qualified.”
Ben: “Frugal.”
Josh jokingly chimed in: “Cheap.”
Matt: “Integrity.”
Tagg: “Generous.”

With a changed convention schedule, breakfasts, luncheons, and state delegate meetings were the order of they day. Tagg, Matt, Josh, Ben, and Craig Romney fanned out to lend helping hands:

Tagg Romney spoke to Virginia delegates and was joined by Angelina Jolie’s father, movie star Jon Voight:

Actor Jon Voight, a longtime supporter of the GOP, is in Tampa speaking to delegates and hanging out with the Romney family.

Tagg Romney tweeted a photo of himself, Voight, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) and Julie Chaffetz addressing the Virginia delegation Monday morning.

Voight introduced Romney at the event and posed for pictures with delegates, according to sightings on Twitter.

The actor, the father of Angelina Jolie, also attended the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minneapolis.

And he has ties to vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan. In 2009, Voight attended a major GOP fundraiser in Washington, where he was introduced by the Wisconsin lawmaker.

One of the most courageous acts in our society today is to stand up in Hollywood and say you’re a conservative Republican,” Ryan said of the actor.

Aug 27, 2012 – After speaking to the Virginia delegation, this photo was taken: (left to right) Jon Voight, Tagg Romney, Julie Chaffetz (wife of UT Congressman Jason Chaffetz) , Jason Chaffetz

Voight also spoke with The Daily Caller and lambasted the mainstream media for being Obama’s lap dogs:

“The media has been taken over by this administration,” Voight, an outspoken Hollywood conservative, said in an interview with TheDC. “It’s not less than what has happened in Venezuela with Hugo Chavez, really, because you can’t get the information through. I’m giving you this because I want to get the press my opinion. You can put it in any way you want to. But, it’s become pure propaganda and we should be appalled.”

“I mean look at the main media is not going to cover the Republican convention?” Voight added as an example. “This is propaganda, pure and simply. They say, ‘well, we’ll give them an hour.’ They’ll edit an hour – well, what will they edit out? What is the story they will tell? Do you understand?”

Guys, you should be appalled,” Voight continued. “America, guys, wake up. You should be appalled that they can get away with it, that they can attack – the Republican Party is a victim of a bias, of a destructive bias against the Republican Party. It’s been going on for all this time and it’s getting worse and worse. And, now this? Come on, people, stand up.”

Voight is courageous and correct.

Matt Romney was scheduled to address the Colorado delegation today (awaiting a report). He attended a Michigan delegate party last night in Tampa and his darling little daughter accompanied him. Here’s a photo of them at the get-together last night with MI Attorney General Bill Schuette:

Pictured: Matt Romney, his daughter, and MI Atty Gen Bill Schuette. Aug 26, 2012 – Tampa, FL

UPDATE – Matt Romney stresses his father “fixes things” before Colorado GOP delegation:

The friendly crowd of 36 delegates and 33 alternates and their guests reacted positively to Matt Romney’s description of his father as gifted in solving problems at several levels, from fixes around the house, to complex private equity deals with Bain Capital, to the elder Romney’s reformation of Salt Lake City’s hosting of the Winter Olympics.

He also touted Romney’s budget surpluses during his single term as the governor of Massachusetts.

Romney praised his father’s choice of fiscal hawk Rep. Paul Ryan, which drew big cheers from the crowd.

He called for the delegation to get out the vote in the swing state of Colorado, saying his father “believes like you do that we should not spend money we don’t have.

“That’s taxpayers’ money,” Matt Romney said. “That’s your money.”

After speaking to the Colorado delegation, Matt Romney spoke about his Dad with reporters:

Here’s how Josh Romney spent last night (tweet):

Great event tonight with WI and MS. Joined Reince Priebus, Haley Barbour, Scott Walker, Henry Barbour in welcoming delegates to FL

‘Omelets with Orrin’ was Josh’s destination this morning where he spoke to Utah delegates. The event was hosted by Senator Orrin Hatch:

TAMPA, Fla. — Mitt Romney will survive “that meat grinder called a presidential election” and win in November, Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch told members of the Utah delegation to the Republican National Convention at their first breakfast meeting Monday.

“I’m so proud of Mitt Romney,” Utah’s senior senator said at an “Omelets with Orrin” breakfast honoring his 36 years of service that included a rallying speech by Josh Romney, one of two Romney sons who lives in Utah.

Josh Romney, who lives with his family in Millcreek and has considered running for office in Utah, said the same enthusiasm voters had for Obama four years ago has been transferred to his father.

I have yet to meet someone who says, ‘I voted for (2008 GOP nominee Arizona Sen. John) McCain four years ago and this time, I’m going for Obama,’ “ Josh Romney said. “The same thing President Obama had four years ago, we’ve got it now.”

Ari Fleischer also spoke to the Utah delegates.

Ben Romney, the son we don’t get to see as often as the others due to his medical residency in radiology, spoke during a breakfast for the West Virginian delegates. Beth Myers, the capable force known for helping Governor Romney with his V.P. search, also attended.

Craig Romney had the microphone at a breakfast meeting for Michigan delegates:

Craig Romney… recalled for the Michigan delegation to the Republican National Convention a story about Mitt Romney’s character.

As Mitt Romney took control of the troubled 2000 Olympics in Salt Lake City, he wanted to generate excitement by including new events, including skeleton — an event “like the luge” but you go face first (down the track) at 80 mph, Craig explained.

The producers of the “Today” show offered to put Romney on the air with host Katie Couric to talk about turning around the scandal-laden Games, if he learned how to do the skeleton, Craig said of his dad, the presumptive GOP presidential candidate who’s to be nominated here this week.

So Romney recruited the eventual gold-medalist to coach him because he didn’t want to miss the opportunity to drum up support for the Olympics.

“You can imagine he was terrified. He’s not exactly a thrill seeker,” Craig Romney said of his father… “He eventually learned to do the whole track.

“People saw this guy will literally do anything, including risking his own personal health, to make the Games a success.”

Newt Gingrich also spoke to the MI delegates.

Craig, who speaks fluent Spanish, is also featured in a Spanish-language radio ad which was released today.

The Romney brothers weighed in on their Dad’s run for the White House with FOX News’ Megyn Kelly:

Mitt Romney did a morning run-through of his all-important convention speech today at a New Hampshire high school auditorium (I imagine Ann rehearsed her speech, as well.)

When asked by a reporter if he thought the convention should be cancelled due to the hurricane, Governor Romney responded:

“Our sons are already in Tampa and they say it’s terrific there, a lot of great friends. And we’re looking forward to a great convention[.]” …

He said he hoped those in the storm’s path would be “spared any major destruction” but indicated there were no thoughts of canceling the convention in Tampa, where Isaac’s heavy rain had all but passed.

Romney’s running mate, Congressman Paul Ryan, is flying to Tampa today.

The Romney sons are great ambassadors for their parents and Congressman Ryan.

What a grand sight it will be to see the ENTIRE Romney family and the Paul Ryan family on the convention stand this Thursday night!

More Romney Tax Returns: Should He, or Shouldn’t He?

***The opinions herein are those of the author and not of Mitt Romney Central, a grassroots organization unaffiliated with the Romney for President Campaign***

Mitt Romney has been vetted far more than Obama

Parenthetically, I refuse to acknowledge Mr. Obama henceforth with the title of President of the United States. Although elected, he has acted in a manner unworthy of the title and has not earned the respect of the position of the office.

With Mr. Obama’s recent dishonest and diversionary ‘Chicago-style” gutter tactics, calls for Mitt Romney by the mainstream media, and some in the conservative press, to release more tax returns poses the question, should he or shouldn’t he?

Governor Romney’s response has been that he will release his 2011 tax returns when filed, having released his estimated returns for 2011. He has further added that he has filed complete financial disclosures that are more exhaustive, in scope, than any tax return filings. Consequentially, Governor Romney has most recent stated that he doesn’t intend to release any further historical tax filings. Notwithstanding, the question has persisted, should he or shouldn’t he?

As a successful leader, with his lengthy experience in business, government and philanthropy, Governor Romney has gained keen insights and wisdom that set him apart from the inadequate and incompetent Obama. Further, as a consequence of this experience, Mitt Romney has interacted and dealt with innumerable individuals that cross all spectrums, from the brilliant minds to the incompetent and inadequate. Governor Romney’s experience has prepared him, better than most, as he faces the incompetent Obama and those who surround him. That said, it is difficult at times to try and understand and deal with the irrationality of those driven by fear and duplicity, and who abide the situational standards of society without foundational principles. Although not static or absolute, the dynamic process of Governor Romney’s experience and wisdom applied, if anything, has taught him to seek counsel from others and gather as much information as required to determine a course forward. It is in this steeling and tutoring process that Governor Romney responds to situations like this, and in his hoped for role as POTUS, with measure, conviction and principle.

As events have unfolded recently, I find great comfort in observing the capacities of Mitt Romney. When we step back from the fray, it is this steeling process that has prepared him, like none other in our modern history, to lead this nation in its defining moment.

Appreciating the willful and deceitful intent of Mr. Obama and his minions, Governor Romney is right in his position not to release additional tax records, which would provide further fodder for Obama’s wanted distractions from his failed policies and economic failures. Clearly, the more Mitt Romney is pressed to respond to Barack Obama and his PR machine in the mainstream media, with respect to Obama’s diversions, the more Barack Obama is open to take advantage. It is time for the conservative pundits to recognize the foil they become for Obama and his minions as they react to the untoward and deceitful attacks by Obama. Mitt Romney gets it, his focus remains the economy and failed record of Obama.

Further, Governor Romney has taken an offensive posture, and recently addressed Obama’s cronyism with billions going to bundlers and donors at the expense of the middle class. Rest assured, there are many things in Obama’s failings that are ripe for the picking, and I am confident in Mitt Romney’s ability to articulate to the American people those failings. Barack Obama is a train wreck, and a man driven by irrational fear and incompetence. As much as there is a want to bury him today, it is a matter of timing and strategy. To this end, Mark DeMoss has expressed my feelings as well when introducing Governor Romney to Liberty University when he stated, “I trust him; I trust him to do the right thing, to do the moral thing, to do what is best for our country; I trust his character, his integrity, his moral compass, his judgment and his perfect decency. And finally, I trust his values for I am convinced they mirror my own.”

Mitt Romney’s Strategy Will Result in November Victory

David Parker below references conservative voices of late that have been critical of Governor Romney, his campaign team, strategy, tactics, etc. If you have not read his piece, please take the time to do so — it is excellent.

David uses a military example to illustrate Mitt Romney’s strategy to focus on the Obama economy. I love this example as Israel was at a huge disadvantage against Egypt in the 6-Day War:

“When Israel was victorious over Egypt in the 6-day war. Notwithstanding the breadth of its border with Egypt, Israel’s strategy was to identify Egypt’s weakest point, line up its tanks and penetrate the border and then disperse. It was an elegant strategy for victory.

[emphasis added]

We could cite many other examples of tiny Israel conquering superior forces, including those of Syria, in large part due to brilliant strategy.

One of Mitt Romney’s greatest skills is that of a strategist — he is a master of strategy design. His business career for the last 35+ years, including the incredible rescue of the Winter Olympics, involved the development of dozens of detailed, “elegant” strategic plans and the execution of those plans. We have all heard the term “turn-around artist.” Mitt Romney is one of the best this nation has ever known.

Why are some people worked up about Governor Romney not disclosing more details of his strategic plan? That would be like the Israeli press and its people asking the prime minister for details as to how they plan to defend against Egypt before the 6-Day War! It is foolish at this point in the election cycle to disclose strategic details when doing so would serve only to provide information to Mr. Obama’s team. It is well known that the TV voter and voters in general stop paying attention to politics in the summer months. In the year of a presidential election, they begin to really pay attention after Labor Day. Why blow through major cash during the summer doldrums attempting to disseminate major new information? From my perspective, that makes no sense at all.

I have no inside knowledge of the Romney campaign strategy, but I love the fact that Romney is staying focused on the Obama economy and that he is not providing ammunition to Obama that can be used against him right now. As with Egypt, Mr. Obama has no idea how Mitt Romney will outflank him for crippling attacks to be victorious in November. But we know Obama is worried about it and he is appearing ever desperate. In due time, Mitt Romney will strategically disclose details of his plans for our nation to augment his truth-letting of Obama’s dismal record as steward of America’s economy.

Never forget the old adage: “Timing is everything” (as in November 6th)

Rarely do I agree with statements made by The New York Times or its reporters. And who cares what the press/media demands of Governor Romney anyway? (I don’t think Mitt Romney really cares — he will execute to his strategy) There is no requirement to satiate pundits’ appetites for additional details. David Brooks of The Times makes this very excellent point in this one minute video clip:
