Mitt Romney: A Personal Perspective From Texas

With your indulgence, below is a personal perspective from our daughter in Texas.

In this election cycle, she and a few friends started, SWARM (Smart Women Against Rampant Media) as a response to our oft-times biased media. To quote them, “We are a group of women who are deeply concerned for our nation. We reject the media’s deceptive messages and seek truth wherever it is found. We are mobilizing to ensure the success of our country! Please join us! We’ve heard it said that bad things happen when good people do nothing… We can do this together. Help us take back our country!” You can follow them on Facebook here, or on their blog, Women for Truth, here. Their advocacy for truth is commendable and hopeful that it becomes a standard for many.

I have posted Leslie’s recent Facebook entreaty, as I believe it is reflective of many of the American voters who support Mitt Romney, and succinctly sums up how many feel. Pictured are her two boys.

I want to thank my Facebook friends for respectfully supporting (or quietly ignoring) my vocal support of Governor Romney during this election season. I appreciate the lack of severe and bitter words and have enjoyed the civil and enlightening conversations that have been spurred by this amazing thing we call democracy!

I have had the opportunity to meet Mitt Romney on a couple of occasions. Years ago, he complimented me on my cute baby and his name (win), and once, not so long ago, I even ate dinner sitting immediately next to him. I watched him eat his salad, you guys. :) I know that Mitt Romney is only running for president because of a genuine, deep, and abiding love which he has for this country. He truly wants to serve the American people. He has been blessed in his life, his family is amazing, his business success speaks for itself, and he feels that he owes something big to this country where he was able to create such a wonderful life. That is what he told me (and others) that night. He sought the advice of the people in that room. He wanted to know what my concerns were as a stay-at-home mom. He is humble. He is aware of the down-trodden and the needy and wants to help them effectively. He supports mothers and working women. He prays and acknowledges that we are all children of God. He is the real deal, and I am so proud to support him with my vote.

My family has supported Mitt since 2007 (see photo of my baby boys below)! We have been on Mitt’s team through thick and thin, we have taken hits with Mitt for our common beliefs, we have supported him and Ann, we have prayed for him and for our country, and it seems so surreal to me that tomorrow is the big day. I have voted for Mitt so many times, and I am so proud to have cast my vote for him again, here in Texas.

Whatever the outcome is tomorrow (or next week or whenever this ends), I know that all will be well. I trust a loving Heavenly Father and I know that because of His love for me and because of the love of my Savior, Jesus Christ, my family will be blessed no matter who is President. I feel peace because of that knowledge. America is a blessed land; there is no doubt.

My speech is almost over. Mitt’s words tonight. He is asking for my vote as he asks for yours! “Our children will graduate into exciting careers that are worthy of their qualifications. Our seniors will be confident that their retirement is secure. Americans will have good jobs, good pay, and good benefits. Our veterans will come home to a bright future. We will have confidence that our lives are safe and our livelihoods are secure.

If you are ready for that kind of change — if you want this to be a turning point in America’s course — join us and vote Tuesday for the kind of leadership that these times demand.

This is the most important election of our lifetime — and every vote counts. We are hours away from the better future America deserves.”

Mitt: It’s About the Pursuit of Happiness

What is the single most important word in all our founding documents? It’s a question I’ve thought about several times over the last four years. It was a little over four years ago that I was on a plane ride coming back from a 2008 Mitt Romney rally in Boston, seated next to MRC’s own Paul Johnson. Over the course of a long plane ride our conversation spanned many topics, but one topic in particular has remained with me.

We were discussing differences between Europe and America, and in trying to boil America down to its essence, we reflected on these timeless words from the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” It was on this occasion that I began to appreciate the lasting importance of what may be the most significant word in framing the responsibilities of the American government: pursuit.

This one sentence in the Declaration of Independence establishes that our rights are endowed by a Creator and not granted by governments, kings, or militaries, as has so often been the case throughout history. It clarifies that going forward, the American government would be responsible only to protect and to ‘..secure these rights’ that had already been granted by God.

Consider for moment how different that mandate would be without the word pursuit; “..that among these [rights] are Life, Liberty and … Happiness.” What would our country look like today if our elected officials spent the last 200+ years believing that they were responsible for granting our happiness instead of defending our pursuit of it? Maybe we should look at France. I will never be mistaken for an expert in French history, but consider briefly the French motto: liberté, égalité, fraternité, or liberty, equality, fraternity. Equality can be interpreted many ways, but even the casual observer can see that often French economic policies go beyond creating equal opportunities, and try instead to create equal outcomes by using over-protective labor laws and wealth redistribution practices (such as their maximum 35 hour work week and recent 75% tax imposed on the very wealthy). It should be noted that in spite of these efforts, and perhaps because of them, since 1984, French unemployment has been below 8 percent for only 16 months and they now comprise a mere 2% of global GDP, while the US comprises approximately 23%. The United States ranked 6th in per capital GDP in between 2010 and 2011, while France ranked 24th.

And this is where I believe a key difference lies between our two presidential candidates. I believe Barack Obama thinks he knows what’s best for me and thinks he knows what my happiness should look like. He wants to try and guaranty that equality, or happiness, largely by taking from others to redistribute to me. He also has mandated what happiness looks like to employers, who he wants to force to pay for employees’ contraceptives even if in violation of their conscience. I believe Mitt Romney, on the other hand, will protect my pursuit of happiness and defend the principles upon which our nation was founded.

When asked at the first presidential debate by Jim Lehrer how he viewed the role and mission of the federal government, Mitt responded:

Look behind us [on the wall]. The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. The role of government is to promote and protect the principles of those documents. First, life and liberty. We have a responsibility to protect the lives and liberties of our people, and that means a military second to none…

Second, in that line that says we are endowed by our creator with our rights, I believe we must maintain our commitment to religious tolerance and freedom in this country. That statement also says that we are endowed by our creator with the right to pursue happiness as we choose. We’re a nation that believes that we’re all children of the same god and we care for those that have difficulties, those that are elderly and have problems and challenges, those that are disabled. We care for them. And we — we look for discovery and innovation, all these things desired out of the American heart to provide the pursuit of happiness for our citizens. But we also believe in maintaining for individuals the right to pursue their dreams and not to have the government substitute itself for the rights of free individuals. And what we’re seeing right now is, in my view, a trickle-down government approach, which has government thinking it can do a better job than free people pursuing their dreams. And it’s not working.

He took the words right out of my mouth. Defending the rights of the American people to pursue their own happiness has catapulted this nation into an unprecedented position in world history as both an economic superpower and a bastion of freedom. Mitt understands that, while our current president does not, which is why I look forward to Tuesday when I can cast my ballot for Mitt Romney.

This is Why Romney Will Win! America Has Awakened.

Although briefly mentioned in the Rasmussen and Gallup Polls, the energy and support behind Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan is not simply a statistic, it is a physical manifestation of people who are committed to something greater than self – real, everyday people like Gina in Colorado (see below). Numbers or statistics do not accurately reveal how substantive and consequential this energy and movement truly is for change in America! Millions of Americans have awakened to Romney’s call; a call to believe in, and restore, America to his founding principles of freedom and liberty; a call to take back what has been lost these past four years; a call to carry on the torch of freedom lifted by the ‘greatest generation’ that has preceded us!

Mitt Romney is not just drawing crowds of people in the tens of thousands in Ohio, Florida, Virginia, Colorado, Nevada and elsewhere; he is drawing crowds of energized Americans who are coming together with a purpose, and to a cause that is greater than any one of us. Mitt Romney has inspired us again and millions of Americans are seeing the reality of what can be with true leadership in things that matter. We are no longer left to wallow in the wastelands of false hope and hype, nor are we wont to be relegated to the oppression and decline of the past four years. As Americans, we are wont to leave a free and stronger America to our progeny. We have found in Mitt Romney a leader who puts his country and fellow countrymen first, and who can, through experienced leadership, restore this great nation to its exceptional role in the world.

Having spoken with some who attended the rally at Red Rock, Colorado, where 10,000+ gathered, I have learned that there was a contingent of Democrats who interceded before the secured entry, and with presumed authority sought to turn away the crowds saying that Red Rock was full, hopeful that they could disrupt attendance at the rally. In spite of this deception, people were not dissuaded and pressed on, many having walked nearly 5 miles to and from the amphitheater to see and hear Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. The energy is real and is manifest in each who has attended rallies around America.

Below is an inspiring story of Gina who attended in Red Rock. Gina typifies the feelings and expressions of the tens of millions who are standing with Mitt Romney – standing and sustaining Mitt Romney with confidence in his proven capacity, experience and message to lead our nation!

Let us not doubt the impact we can have as we come together in this great cause.

“Let Freedom Ring” — Liberty? Pursuit of Happiness?

“Let freedom ring,” the immortal words of Martin Luther King Jr. I am not alone in my concern as an American when I feel we have strayed far from the foundations of our Constitution and the roots of the brave men, women and families who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy. I ask every living soul to read and seriously consider these sacred words from our Declaration of Independence –

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. – That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, – That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it.”

I am very concerned. I believe each one of us needs to be concerned and more importantly take a stand.

I recently saw a news ticker on a major television network with the following statement related to education. “This is something (education) that only the national government can solve,” (by President Obama). I was stunned. This statement is at the root of the vision Barack Obama and his allies have for our nation. They don’t believe in us as a people. They would see the basis of this nation, which is based on individual freedoms and God given rights, replaced by a mass of confusion and government regulation. Who do they think we are? Do you see anything our government runs that comes close to the efficiency of free enterprise?

Signatories to The Declaration of Independence

The America I know is very different from the view of our current President – Barack Obama. I see amazing and diverse people every day who are dedicated to each other and family. I see entrepreneurs who work hard and want to provide opportunity for others. I see people of purpose who are willing to sacrifice for one another. I see people of intelligence who if released from the bondage of debt and encumbrances of a government out of control will drive a great revolution and economic recovery.

I look to the words of Thomas Jefferson.

“On every question of construction, (let us) carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed.”

I assure you our Founding Fathers see the tangled web our government has become contrary to any intent our Founding Fathers envisioned.

We have given four years to an experiment that has failed us entirely. I go back to Obama’s statement, “This is only something the national government can solve.” Are you kidding! We need our freedom. We need complete change. We need a government that you and I barely know exists. We need leaders that will ensure the rights our Constitution guarantees – “Secure the Blessing of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.”

I can honestly say that over the past four years our freedoms and God given rights have been strangled. Do I believe another four years under the present watchman will bring us closer to the freedoms we were “endowed by (our) Creator” -absolutely not. Are you willing to entrust our freedoms to a watchman who openly believes and promotes “this is something only the national government can solve.”?

The choice is clear – one that brings us further from the ideals of our Founding Fathers or one that puts us on a path of recovery and the freedoms that are “unalienable.” I believe Mitt Romney gives us that opportunity.

Gov Christie Inspires Voters: “Romney/Ryan Are The Way to Fix This Broken Country”

What a powerhouse!

New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie flew yesterday into crucial swing-state Virginia to rock the vote for Romney/Ryan. The crowd gathered at Ball Office Products in Richmond were given a walloping treat. After Romney’s VA campaign manager, Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling warmed up the crowd, Christie owned the lectern.

A few highlights (and there were many!):

Christie said the message he got coming out of the Democrat’s National Convention was – their words – “Government is the only thing we all belong to.” He replied that even in blue state New Jersey, “We were taught we don’t belong to government; the government belongs to us.”

The New Jersey Gov also reminded listeners of another recent belief Obama revealed: “You can’t change Washington D.C. from the inside.” Christie asked, “If he really believes that, then what the he*# is he doing asking for another four years?” He says Obama is asking for another four years to figure it out. His response to Obama’s plea? “You know what, Mr. President? I’m tired of waiting for you to figure it out!

He’d [Obama] never run anything in his life. And so the President doesn’t know how to lead. I mean watch what he’s been like for the past four years. He’s like a man wandering around a dark room, hands up against the wall, clutching for the light switch of leadership, and he just can’t find it. And, he won’t find it in the next 18 days! Blindly, blindly, walking around the White House… looking for a clue – looking for a clue.”

And you, know, the unfortunate thing for the President is this – is that there are clues everywhere – if he’d just open his eyes.

I heard the President the other night in the debate say “Governor Romney says that I want a bigger government and that’s just not true. (laughter) Well, Governor Romney is not the guy who has run up SIX TRILLION dollars in new debt in four years as president. Governor Romney is not the one that has created new boards, commissions, czars, all over government that he’s paying millions and millions and millions of dollars to of our money to try and manipulate more and more things in the private economy, to try to get his desired result. And let me tell ya, Mitt Romney is not the guy who is looking to take money away from hard-working Americans and redistributing it across the country based on the government’s plan. He thinks the American PEOPLE should be able to decide how to spend their own money – not the government.

A few Sundays ago, before the first debate, Governor Romney asked me to go on all those Sunday morning shows for him. And you might remember back then, a couple of days before the first debate, the campaign wasn’t flying high. People were feeling a little nervous about how the campaign was going and what the last month of the campaign would look like. So they asked me to go on all those shows and deal with all those feisty hosts. (laughter) I don’t know why they picked me. (laughter and applause) And, so they asked me – Bob Schieffer, George Stephanopoulos, David Gregory – they all asked me “Well, what’s gonna happen, Governor Christie, on Wednesday at the debate, what’s gonna happen at Governor Romney’s campaign? How can it possibly turn around? Isn’t the race really over?” And I said to them, “You wait. You wait until Wednesday night ‘cuz Mitt Romney is gonna win that debate and turn this race UPSIDE DOWN. “

Mitt Romney is better prepared, smarter, and more ready for the presidency , and I knew he’d show ‘em that in those debates and he sure did!

What ‘War On Women’?

Yesterday I was feeling nostalgic so I started perusing old black and white family pictures from years gone by. I came across a photo of my mother in her late teens lined up with a group of her girlfriends all wearing miniskirts, shorts or pants in the style of the old Annette Funicello movies at a camp ground. You might say, ‘so what?’ Well, this picture was taken in the late 1950′s in Iran. This is the same country where today a woman at the very least would be arrested for such indecent clothing. You see, I hear every day from our President, while hopping from university to university, preaching about this ‘War on Women’, and I keep looking to see where this war is being waged. I could certainly understand if the opposition candidate was a Rick Santorum type, but it’s Mitt Romney! You know, the moderate from Massachusetts! I guess if you say it often enough it becomes fact and there are plenty of young and impressionable women who believe this guy when he says if he’s not re-elected they would forfeit 50 years of progress. Hmmm! I bet there are a few women in Iran who would jump at the opportunity of by passing Jimmy Carter’s foreign policy and go back to those easy days and I have no doubt there are plenty of women in Egypt that are now considering the option of what it might be like if Barry Obama had stopped supporting the Islamists in their country. It is so very difficult to listen to 20 year old college girls trying to scare someone like me about the perils of a Romney Presidency. The poor girls are so brain washed that most of their cells have turned dormant and refuse to process thought on their own. Somehow, their college professors, the media and all the so called women’s groups reached into this immature casing of hormones and emotion and filled it up with the ultimate Halloween boogie man.

I must say I am not the most tolerant person I know, especially when it comes to low forms of IQ in human form. So, you can just imagine how hard it must be to smile and try to put some sense into a mind of a young girl who has not yet had the opportunity to lift a finger to support herself. She has been fed, clothed and educated throughout the years without a moment of doubt that all will be provided for her. She has a cell phone with internet connection, an assortment of computers, all the cute and cuddly accessories of a college life, most likely in pink, and of course the tiniest little skirts assuring the attention of the opposite sex. She speaks passionately about the terrible possibilities of how we might all end up barefoot and pregnant with men in charge of every aspect of our lives. I listen and listen while she spews the Chicago mob machine’s talking points on how to get women’s votes. I’ve heard it all before. I heard it when a 30 year old female law student testified in front of Congress about how she needed her Catholic University to pay for her contraception. I heard it when all the overpaid starlets of Hollywood spoke at the Democratic National Convention. How does one even approach such an empty vessel? My grandfather used to say the worse curse on the planet is be stuck with dumb person, and here I am. Funny, no one paid for my birth control and somehow I managed, and funny how thirty years ago no one I knew complained about paying for services such as a college education and most of us worked, sometimes, at more than two jobs! It’s funny how we all took pride in our achievements and never expected handouts. In my day it was shameful to be on any form of welfare and that included your parents. Our motto was ‘Hear Me Roar!’ and sadly yours is ‘Give Me More!’

I’m not sure what you think you’re achieving for women these days. If it’s equal pay you should look at the White House for paying its women staff 18% less according to government data. If you’re looking for sexual equality, well, you win, I guess. My only conclusion from your level of whining and expectation is that you truly believe that you are not now, or ever will be; competent enough to take care of yourself and that you would need either your parents or the government to provide for your every whim. My generation fought for the freedom to be responsible for ourselves, to achieve as far as we could or wanted to achieve, to be in charge our destiny. I’m saddened to see your generation is about expectations to have others do for you. Who is enslaved with shackles now, you or me? It is interesting that when it came to voting for a woman to reach the White House more women voted for the good looking younger man. Even Oprah, the queen of women’s issues put aside her life’s work to choose color over gender.

So little girl, I feel sorry for you. Not because there might be a chance any real progress in opportunity for women will be thwarted in the future, but for the lack of pride and individual accomplishment I see in you today. We have had a right leaning Supreme Court for decades and there has been no reversal in any legal choices for women. If you survived the farthest to the right President, such as Bush, I have no doubt you can survive Mitt Romney who has only proven in deeds to be a fair and considerate human being. Frankly, I am horribly offended by your lack of respect for the true achievement my generation and ones before mine allowing you to be an independent individual with the right to choose your own destiny. To see all that hard work and sacrifice be squandered by the agenda of one incompetent political figure and his ability to brainwash you is very sad indeed. My dear, you are selling your soul to be at the mercy of a man after all!

Compelling Reasons for Romney! Guest Author: Terry Ryan

Rob and Terry Ryan are dear friends and rank among America’s pre-eminent entrepreneurs, having successfully built many billion dollar companies. During a recent visit with the Ryan’s, Terry mentioned her recent presentation about Mitt Romney to the Pachyderm Club of Missoula, Montana. At my request Terry shared her message and with her permission we print it here. As an attorney, Terry provides a compelling and succinct argument in Mitt’s favor.

Hello, I am Terry Ryan and I am the Women for Romney Chair for Montana.

My husband and I have lived the American Dream.

Rob was born in Fort Apache in the Bronx. You’ve seen the movie… it is the worst slum in America.

We met when we were freshmen at Cornell University and married after graduation. I supported Rob through graduate school. However, when Rob was a graduate student, he had to work full time at the same time to pay off his undergraduate loans. You see immediate repayment was mandatory back then.

We learned from that experience and saved my law school tuition in advance. After my graduation we moved from Boston to Silicon Valley where Rob won a major award his very first year at Intel Corp. for authoring the IEEE specification for Ethernet.

Because of the award, he was recruited as ‘Vice President of Engineering’ by a start up, then, fired less than a year later. It was 1981. The Country was still suffering the Carter Malaise. Unable to find work, he was forced to start his first company. It was a miserable failure, but he did manage to sell it… after a year without any income. Seven years later the two of us founded Ascend Communications. That was a grand slam homerun.

Kliener Perkins Venture Capital funded us in 1990. In 1994 we took the company public with a 64% profit margin. In 1995 Business Week named us the most profitable stock of the year. We had a 921% gain. In 1996 we were added to the Standard and Poor’s 500 index. We had over 5,000 employees in 1999 when Lucent acquired Ascend for a record breaking amount.

You see, we had invented and manufactured nearly 90% of the hardware used for an infant industry called: The Internet. YES WE BUILT IT!

But times are different now. Americans are worried. Mitt Romney has talked to thousands of Americans all over the country – in company cafeterias, school gymnasiums, and factory floors. They are worried about their children, their jobs, their mortgages and their future. They are right to be worried.

All across our great land people are hurting. Some have lost jobs. Others are working two jobs to get by. Many have fallen out of the middle class and are struggling to get back. While the cost of living goes up and up, they are living paycheck to paycheck.

They are tired of being scared. While our government tells us unemployment has been above 8% for 43 straight months it’s actually worse than that! A full 16% of our workforce does not have work. If you were self employed like realtors and independent contractors, and you don’t have work, you are not counted. If your unemployment ran out or you just gave up looking, you are no longer counted. If you are young and looking for your first job, you don’t count. Half of our new college graduates cannot find decent jobs.

One in six Americans are below the poverty line today. More than when President Johnson declared the War on Poverty. We need to reconstruct our safety nets so they bounce people out of poverty, rather than trap them inside it.

In the past three and half years America has amassed an additional FIVE trillion dollars of debt, more than all other presidential administrations combined. After four years it’s clear President Obama’s policies are making things worse.

The current President is driving Americans apart, creating class warfare, demonizing success. It does not need to be this way! As Condoleezza Rice says: “America has never been a narrative of agrievement against others. It has always been one of empowerment and opportunity. Never have we said… I’m doing poorly because you are doing well.” If the Presidency can be won that way, we all lose.

This election is about restoring the promise of America. It is a stark choice between two visions for our country’s future. We don’t need more excuses. We don’t need more blame. What we need is a new President.

Romney and Ryan have a positive agenda that will lead to economic growth. It will bring widespread and shared prosperity. Their plan for a stronger middle class will get America back to work, balance the budget and put America’s finances on a sustainable path. They are offering solutions that are bold, yet specific. They are committed to helping create the 12 million new jobs America needs.

The Romney/Ryan plan to get America working again focuses on these five things:

First: Energy independence. We can achieve North American Energy Independence by 2020 if we take advantage of our domestic oil, our natural gas, our coal, our renewables and our nuclear power. Abundant, inexpensive domestic energy will not only create energy jobs, it will bring manufacturing jobs back to America.

Second: We must give our workers and our kids the skills they need to succeed. Our nation is failing in public education. For too long we have let the agenda of union bosses steer the agenda of our schools. It is time to put the students’ needs first. . . . Sandy Welch, who is running for Montana Superintendent of Schools told me about a conversation she had with a group of school administrators. She was advocating putting the students’ needs in the center of all other considerations. They looked at her dumbfounded! Finally one of them stammered, “we have never heard such a thing from any elected officials. It has always been all about Union’s rights! . . . It ‘s time for that to end!

What the Media Doesn’t Want You to Know: Obama’s Follies


Below is an historical perspective that the media will diminish and distort, or not even disclose or discuss with America as they strive to protect and promote Barack Obama. Why? Whether in ideological alignment with Obama or striving for relevance and power in our society, the media is wont to attack or undermine Mitt Romney and the conservative movement, at any price without boundary, integrity or principle. What Obama and the media fail to realize in their blindness and pandering for relevance and power, is that they only become relevant and important unto themselves. By and through their misguided actions to become relevant, they become irrelevant. Never before in our history has the media, or our President for that matter, been so irresponsible and caught up in their own self-importance; never before have they been so blatant in their wants and posturing to America’s discredit; never before have they revealed who they really are and abandoned all ethical boundaries; never before have they exposed themselves with reckless and irresponsible abandon. The battle lines have been drawn and the media has joined the opposition. Their insidious lack of integrity and public profile is undermining the very fabric of our society, and all in the name of their principal advocate, Barack Obama. The same could be said for the liberal thinkers in our center-right society. The liberal thinkers and the media have aligned with one another and through their protestations convinced themselves that they are a reflection of American society; again, at the behest of their leading advocate, Barack Obama. They are not a reflection of the majority of American’s, yet – and hopefully they never will! Surely, they and Obama represent some in America, but clearly, truth and ideology be told, it is the minority. By and through their public pulpit each are convinced if they shout loud enough we will be equally convinced. What is tragic is the blatant lies and manipulations in play; with stories suppressed, polls manipulated, and lies promulgated – the media and Obama are trying to sell what is good as bad and what is bad as good. This deception has to stop! History has proven when the majority in society remain silent to the protestations of the extremes, lives and freedoms are lost – Not here, and not in America!

Intentional as the media may be to try and diminish and suppress conservative voter turnout by skewed and distorted polls, deceitful attacks on conservative values and Mitt Romney, or collusion to suppress information and deviate from substance – they will not succeed. I believe the efforts of deception will diminish Democratic turnout and elevate the Conservative turnout!

The historical aggregation of some of Obama’s follies without sufficient media disclosure and publication is distressing for many reasons, not the least of which are the lives and freedoms lost.

1) Barack Obama’s failure to act on advance intel to protect our Libyan Ambassador and his colleagues; and his subsequent cover up of known intelligence reports conjunctive with his recent dismissiveness and failure to address and acknowledge terrorism on US territory in Libya and 20 embassies around the world.

2) Lives were lost because of Obama’s failed leadership and inattentions in the Middle East. Today our military is under severe threat because of the undermining attitudes and policies of Barack Obama. Each day we are losing men and women because of political posturing by Obama in Afghanistan – our enemy has infiltrated our ‘allies’ and are killing our soldiers, and nothing is said or done to stop it.

3) Barack Obama’s compromising leaks of national security matters to bolster his foreign policy bona fides, and put our nation at further risk.

4) Barack Obama’s foreign policy priorities to appease and accommodate our enemies; his foreign policy priorities to advocate the LGBT agenda as a condition of American aid, ‘cultural imperialism.’

5) Obama’s abandonment of world leadership; abandonment of Israel; accommodation to a soon-to-be nuclear Iran; accommodation to an Arab Winter and radical Islamic leadership that has put in play a conflagration in the Middle East.

6) Barack Obama’s willful taxes on the poor and middle class when he stated the contrary. (a) Obama stated he wouldn’t raise a dollar of tax on the middle class; and yet, he clearly stated he would wage a war on energy and bankrupt certain industries, including the coal industry. Consequentially, we have seen gasoline prices and home fuel costs more than double in 3 years. American’s are paying at least $1,200-$4,000 more per year in fuel costs because of Obama’s stated policies which is an egregious tax on all. (b) Obama’s debt agenda has imposed a principal borrowing of nearly $6 trillion, plus interest, on all Americans! His spending is one of the most significant taxes he can impose on this and future generations. What isn’t discussed is the cost of interest on this debt when interest rates go up, and they will go up. (c) Obamacare will further impose a minimum tax on all American’s of at least $4,000 per year and in the years to come, and so much more. Additionally, under Obamacare our seniors have to pay an added Obamacare tax on the sale of their homes.

Operation Hot Mic – Agent Flexible

Although American Crossroads video is laced with humor, the fact remains frightening! With an agenda contrary to American interests, Obama unchecked in a very dangerous world is frightening. A Foreign Policy of appeasement and accommodation is not a Foreign Policy – it is, however, a road to ruin. Mitt Romney said it on 60 minutes tonight – this is about FREEDOM!

Obama, Failing American Families

Below are two of Mitt Romney’s latest ads, mostly broadcast in swing states. There is no doubt about the battle ahead: Mitt Romney, principles, integrity and freedom vs Barack Obama, the mainstream media, Labor Unions, lies (say and do whatever it takes to retain power), dependency and debt. The lines are drawn and America will have a clear choice. Even so, Obama and his cronies will conform their message with guile and duplicity to try and purchase our society. The agendas are clear, and so must be the message. Obama will shade his message to appeal to all with a “flaxen cord” approach trying to reel us in before binding us in untenable chains of debt and subordination. Romney will deliver a message of reason, rationale and hope for restoring what made America great and exceptional; a strong and free economy; a strong and free America that defends freedom around the world. Romney will also have to call Obama out for his lies and those of the media. The cause is freedom and it is worth the fight!

The messaging of these two ads are indicative of some of what we will see in the future. You have to ask the question, how do you feel when viewing the ads?

Further, the upcoming debates will have a profound affect on the hearts and minds of American’s. Our prayers should be with Governor and Mrs. Romney, and Paul Ryan and their advisors, that they might be endowed with discernment in knowing how to communicate their messages of light and truth that will resonate with American’s and the world, and further how to expose the lies and deceit of those who seek to flatter America to its demise.
