Romney, Jindal, Peter Johnson Jr, Mccain, Trump, Sununu, Cuccinelli: OBAMA BLOWING SMOKE

“The Obama campaign is blowing smoke here…
The weight of evidence suggests that Romney did, in fact, end active management of Bain in 1999.”
– Glenn Kessler, Washington Post, FACT CHECKER

Well, we’re off to a roaring Monday!

Governor Romney appeared on FOX & Friends (via remote) and is campaigning today with LA Governor Bobby Jindal. After The Gov’s appearance on FOX, Donald Trump phoned in for his usual Monday commentary and spoke for The Gov. Sununu was on Megyn Kelly’s show; Senator John McCain did a phone interview for Romney. And, to top it off, a top Romney aide announced today that a running mate for The Gov could be named by the end of the week.

Gloves off, O-LIARbama!

Before we get to Romney on FOX & Friends, let’s listen to legal analyst Peter Johnson, Jr.’s exchange with Steve Doocy this morning (same program). Johnson spent the weekend researching the claim that “Romney outsourced jobs”:

Is there any proof Romney actually outsourced jobs? NO.

Here’s an excerpt of Romney on FOX & Friends discussing Obama’s crony payoffs vs middle class layoffs (excerpt):

Steve Doocy: “I read in the Washington Post this morning that you want to draw attention to Obama’s political payoffs versus the middle class layoffs where you say, if you are a donor to the Obama camp you are going to do just fine. However, if you are in the middle class Governor, your camp say, yo got to worry about your job.”

Romney: “There is no question but that when billions upon billions of dollars are given by the Obama Administration to the businesses of campaign contributors, that is a real problem particularly at a time when the middle class is really suffering in this country. I don’t know whether you watched over the weekend, the report that was in The New York Times about families really struggling particularly those that are single parents that are just having a hard time making ends meet. This is a tough time for the people of America. But if you are a campaign contributor to Barack Obama, your business may stand to get billions of dollars or hundreds of millions of dollars in cash from the government. I think it’s wrong. I think it stinks to high heaven and I think the administration has to explain how it is they would consider giving money to campaign contributors’ businesses.

Romney Press shop also today released President Obama Has Engaged In Political Payoffs By Rewarding Wealthy Donors And Administration Insiders With Taxpayer Dollars. Read the FACTS here.

Trump phoned in to say ‘open book’ Obama should release his college applications and records (FOX & Friends):

Senator John McCain was interviewed on today on Michigan’s Morning Show (WJIM) in Lansing, MI. He was there to discuss Obama’s broken promises (excerpt):

McCain: “This is a President that said if he couldn’t get it done in four years—i.e., restore the economy—then he didn’t deserve a second term. This is a President that’s now saying he should have ‘told a better story’ in his first two years as President? What he really shouldn’t have done is foist off Obamacare on the American people in the sleaziest process that I have ever seen in the United States Senate. You know the Cornhusker Kickback, the Louisiana Purchase. He said he wouldn’t have any lobbyists in the White House? He didn’t. He had them in the Blair House. It’s the worst thing I’ve ever observed and the American people obviously deserved a lot better than what we got today.”

Reacting to Obama’s refusal to apologize for lies being said about Romney, former New Hampshire Governor John Sununu was on Megyn Kelly’s America Live:

Sununu: “We could be talking about the 24 million unemployed and underemployed. They’re the ones that have problems. When I go to the supermarket and I talk to folks and they want to talk to me about Governor Romney – what they talk to me about the most is the fact that this is the guy that can solve the problem that their son or their daughter – who just graduated from college – can’t find a job on. They want to talk about the fact that they need a president who can solve problems.

If President Obama thinks he’s gonna escape the reality of him giving contracts to bundlers, contracts to cronies, contracts to people who are represented by former White House staffers – the money that they gave to Solyndra. You didn’t like talk about Solyndra, but it’s a FACT. The Solyndra money was given because there were bundlers involved in the investment – to the Finish car company. THESE ARE ALL REALITIES.”

SC Gov Nikki Haley Endorses Romney: “Good Conservative Governor, Leadership to Deal With Broken D.C.”

October 29, 2010 - Governor Mitt Romney is pictured campaigning with then-SC gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley in Bamberg, South Carolina.

Governor Mitt Romney was awarded a BIG southern prize this morning…

Nikki Haley, Tea Party supported Governor of South Carolina, offered a rousing endorsement of Romney this morning on the FOX & Friends television program.

FOX News:

“Now more than ever, we need someone that has the leadership to deal with a broken Washington,” Haley said, adding that Romney to his credit is “not part of the chaos” in the nation’s capital.

Haley cited Romney’s experience turning companies around and shepherding the 2002 Winter Olympics. She also said it “says a lot” that he was able to govern effectively and balance the budget in Boston while Democrats were in charge of the legislature.

If nothing else, Haley said the flak Romney takes from President Obama’s team proves he’s the right candidate.

“Governor Romney is the one candidate that President Obama insistently tries to hit and get out of the way,” Haley said. “That lets me know he’s scared of him.”

Governor Haley will also serve as Co-Chair of Romney for President’s National Steering Committee.

This was something that when I look at the focus of what every family cares about, it’s jobs, the economy and spending, and what I want is someone who is not part of…Washington. What I wanted was someone who knew what it was like to turn broken companies around – someone who had proven results by improving a failed Olympics that ended up being a great success story and someone that knows what it’s like to make a decision and lead, not just make a vote. And, Mitt Romney is that person, and I think now more than ever, we need someone that has the leadership to deal with a broken Washington in a way that we can get things done. And as governor of Massachusetts, what we saw is he balanced his budget, and he cut taxes 19 times with an 85 percent controlled Democrat legislature. That says a lot. That’s something that we need from a good conservative governor at this time.”

Gov Tim Pawlenty Endorses Mitt Romney, Named Natl Co-Chair

Tim Pawlenty has endorsed Mitt Romney this morning. He has also been named National Co-Chair of Romney's campaign. Sept 12, 2011

HUGE NEWS!

Appearing on FOX & Friends this morning, Governor Tim Pawlenty gave a big announcement. *HE HAS ENDORSED MITT ROMNEY and will be his NATIONAL CO-CHAIR!

Business Insider

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty just endorsed former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney in an interview on Fox News, revealing he will become co-chair of his former opponents campaign.

Pawlenty called Romney “the “complete package,” but specifically cited his leadership on the economy as the reason for his decision.

He added that Romney “doesn’t want to abolish or end” Social Security, but made the point that front-runner Texas Gov. does.
[...]

The prominent endorsement gives Romney more ammunition in his campaign to be seen as the more electable candidate — as the debate prepares to center, at least temporarily, on Social Security.

Politico

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty endorsed Mitt Romney for president Monday, praising his onetime rival for his “leadership ability” and the “depth and scope of [his] private-sector experience.”

I believe he’s going to be our party’s nominee,” Pawlenty said on “Fox and Friends,” predicting Romney would be a “transformational and great president.”

Less than a month after ending his own White House bid, Pawlenty was in sync with the Romney campaign’s message on everything from jobs to health care, to Social Security and Rick Perry.

Asked how he could endorse a candidate who he once mocked as the author of “Obamneycare,” Pawlenty said he’d spoken about health care with Romney and concluded: “Mitt Romney is 100 percent dedicated and committed to repealing Obamacare.”

Defending Romney’s jobs record as governor of Massachusetts, Pawlenty said Romney had “great success when it comes to growing jobs and the economy,” citing his time in business and leading the Salt Lake City Oympics.

Pawlenty also joined the escalating back-and-forth between Romney and Rick Perry over entitlement programs, which Pawlenty said Perry may want to end.

Gov. Romney wants to fix Social Security. He doesn’t want to abolish it or end it,” Pawlenty said. “Gov. Perry has said in the past that he thought it was ‘failed.’”

Pawlenty, who is joining the Romney campaign as a national co-chairman, said he wasn’t angling for any other job in giving Romney an early endorsement.

“I’m not going to consider being VP. I was down that path once before with John McCain,” he said. “That won’t be part of the future for me.”

Ann Romney Discusses Breast Cancer Diagnosis on ‘Fox and Friends’

When I think of Ann Romney the first word that comes to mind is “classy”. She is a very impressive lady and reacts well to the curve-balls that life sometimes throws at her. A little over a year ago Mrs. Romney underwent a lumpectomy and radiation treatment following a diagnosis of breast cancer. Fortunately the cancer was detected early and the treatment went very well.

Ann Romney will appear in two interview segments (Tues. and Weds.) on Fox and Friends. UPDATE: Mitt Romney will accompany Ann in the interview. The Boston Herald reports:

In her first public interview since being diagnosed with breast cancer, Ann Romney tells “Fox & Friends” mammograms discovered her early stage breast cancer and she was “really lucky.”

“I had surgery right about this time, right before Christmas last year and then I started my radiation in the end of January,” she said. “If I were a 40-year-old woman, 40 to 50, I’d want to be getting my mammograms. They catch cancers, and cancer is very curable if you catch it early.”

Ann Romney said she kept quiet about her diagnosis and treatment because she wasn’t in the public eye anymore. Mitt Romney made a failed bid for the GOP presidential nomination in 2008. “We were not in the public eye anymore and there was no reason for me to be out again being in the public eye, when you’re going through a crisis, you really just kind of want to have your family around and your husband,” she said.

When asked about criticism of her husband, Ann Romney said there were times when she wanted to “come out of my seat and clock somebody” but “you learn to just take a deep breath.”

As for her husband making another bid for the White House, Romney said the couple will make that decision together. “We’re not ready to make that decision yet. It’s a lot of sacrifice, it’s tough, it’s a tough road and we have at least a year before we have to make that decision,” she said.

I had a chance to meet Ann Romney very briefly at a campaign event in Boston. I had but a brief moment to get a photo taken with her. Given more time I would have certainly thanked her for the strength, support and sacrifice that was required of her as the spouse of a presidential candidate. All too often the noble and capable woman behind the scenes gets far too little credit.

Ann Romney for First Lady 2012! Thanks Ann, keep it up!

Boil, Bubble, Toil and Trouble… Oct. 31st Bewitching Hour for ACORN

witches-cauldron
Thought all the rot oozing from ACORN would be enough to permanently spook Congress from ever giving them another tax-payer dime? Uh… trick or treat! On October 31, ACORN ghouls get treated to government REfunding while we, the taxpayers, get tricked.

Representative Michele Bachmann (R – Minnesota) speaks with radio KTLK’s Chris Baker on ACORN refunding October 31, 2009:

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANUGT6CmBpw
Homeland Security conjured up $1 million for ACORN during the month of October – for fire prevention. I didn’t know ACORN offices were overgrown with dry brush and filled with gasoline-soaked rags.

For years, ACORN has been funding home loans for illegal aliens and our government has been complicit in ensuring those loans are approved. John Fund (Wall Street Journal) speaks with Fox and Friends’ Steve Doocy, Sept 21, 2009, on the additional rat tails boiling in ACORN’s cauldron:

John Fund:

“Illegal aliens don’t have social security numbers so Acorn provides taxpayer identification numbers to illegal aliens to obtain no-interest loans, no-down payment loans, and all kinds of subsidies.”

“We’ve not learned the mistakes that caused Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to collapse… We are perpetuating these same problems. We are still propping up home mortgages for people who have defaulted. ..The founder of ACORN has a theory; it’s maximum eligible participation in all the government programs. What social radicals want is to change our system by first overloading it with too many clients, too many people getting government benefits. When the system collapses under the dead weight of all those subsidies and these recipients, then they think they can have dramatic social change – bring in a more egalitarian society.”

3f2b4d100538ba10So far, getting caught enabling pimps and prostitutes, instructing clients how to prevent paying taxes, providing sweet-treat home loan deals to illegal aliens, embezzling funds, and rigging elections isn’t enough to break ACORN’s spell over Congress. This reveals how entrenched the mad Democrat scientists on Capitol Hill are. They know toil and trouble lie ahead in 2010, so preserving the Acorn Frankensteins are the reason they continue to huddle in the lab.

Unless we stay awake and keep wailing, the ghosts and goblins of ACORN will haunt us long into the future. For the sake of fair elections, honest mortgage lending purposes, preventing abuse of tax-payer monies, and before our Republic lands six feet under in the graveyard of ‘Death by Corruption,’ please contact your Reps, Senators, and the White House. Urge them to drive a stake through the heart of STOP FUNDING ACORN.
