Obama Wants Secty of BUSINESS? USA Needs BUSINESSMAN Mitt Romney!

President Obama recently stated, if reelected, he might rustle up a Secretary of Business.

Why?

Because, when it comes to business, Obama is LOST.

Plus, tossing out that new position to the masses is a two-fer for Obama. He thinks it makes him sound smart and hopes it assuages the electorate’s fear about him right now – that he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Obama’s out-to-lunch-on-business evidence: His colossal mountain of national debt is proof. America’s pitiful downgraded credit rating is proof. His ‘shovel-ready‘ projects, er, lack thereof, is proof. His weak economy is proof. The number of desperate Americans standing in unemployment lines is proof. Americans working part-time when they fiercely need a full-time job is proof. Those who have given up – just stopped looking for a job is proof. Declining, downward middle class incomes is proof. The sad number of Americans descended into poverty is proof. The woeful number of Americans on welfare is proof. The atrocious number of U.S. citizens surviving on food stamps is proof. Swelling disability rolls are proof. His take-over socialization of health care is proof. His trade policies are proof. Onerous job-impeding federal regulations are proof. His auto bailout is proof. His squandered “stimulus” of $787 billion which America’s children and grandchildren will be forced to pay back is proof. His nix-on-anything beneath-the-ground energy policy is proof. (Federal oil drilling permits down 36%! War on coal! No Keystone pipeline! High gasoline prices! And, with the October bankruptcy of Satcon Technology Corp as many as 50 Obama-backed green energy companies have gone belly up or are wobbling!) His hoped-for tax policy is proof. His aversion to numbers, e.g., a federal budget, is proof.

Obama’s badgering, big government beliefs are bad for America. When it comes to business, our outsourcer President is agonizingly, hair-pullingly, head-bangingly daft. That’s why he’s dangling the idea of adding another bureaucrat and bureaucracy if he finagles another four.

Team Romney has released a fantastic new ad. We’ve only got five days, people. Let’s SHARE it!

Barack Obama recently said he might appoint a Secretary of Business.

His solution to everything is to add another bureaucrat.

Mitt Romney understands business and knows what it will take to create jobs and get our economy moving again.

He’s done it before.

He’ll do it again.

At this crucial, decisive time, America must have a president who UNDERSTANDS business.

America needs Mitt Romney.

UPDATE – Paul Ryan’s remarks on Obama at Greeley, Colorado today (November 1, 2012):

“He can’t run on the broken promises. He can’t run on the trillion-dollar deficits each and every year. But he did come up with a new idea the other day. He’s got a new idea for the second term, and here’s what it is. In addition to all the borrowing and all the spending and all the money printing and all the regulating, he wants a new Cabinet position. He wants to create a new secretary of business. You know, we already have a secretary of business. It’s actually called the Secretary of Commerce. That’s what this agency does. Let me ask you a question. Can anybody name our current Secretary of Commerce? You know why? We don’t have one. It’s been vacant for over four months, and the president hasn’t even proposed or put somebody in the job. We don’t need another bureaucrat or another bureaucracy.”

Romney on Obama’s Speech Tonight: Americans Want A Report On President’s Promises

From Concord New Hampshire today, Mitt Romney remarked on what Obama should say tonight…

President Obama needs to report on his promises (audio):

ROMNEY: “I actually think it will be interesting to listen to the President tonight. What I’d like him to do is report on his promises but there are forgotten promises and forgotten people. Over the last four years, the President has said that he was going to create jobs for the American people and that hasn’t happened. He said he would cut the deficit in half and that hasn’t happened. He said that incomes would rise and instead incomes have gone down. And I think this is a time not for him not to start restating new promises but to report on the promises he made. I think he wants a promises reset. We want a report on the promises he made. And that means let’s hear some numbers. Let’s hear 16. Sixteen trillion dollars of debt. This is very different than the promise he made. Let’s hear the number 47. 47 million people in this country on food stamps. When he took office, 33 million people were on food stamps. Let’s understand why it was he’s been unsuccessful in helping alleviate poverty in this country. Why so many people have fallen from the middle class into poverty under this president. Let’s have him explain to the American people the 50 percent number. Why 50 percent of college graduates can’t find work or work that is consistent with their college degree. The President needs to report tonight on his promises rather than try and reset a whole series of new promises that he also won’t be able to keep.”

Any chance we’ll hear those things from Obama?

Nah.

This is what we’re going to hear:

Obama’s America Does Not Comport With My America!

***Please note that the opinions herein reflect those of the author alone, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Mitt Romney Central.***

The evidence continues to mount and it is overwhelming! When taken in aggregate, Obama’s agenda for America is calculating and clear – to disable and dismantle America by debt, dependency and deception, one step at a time. Obama’s America does not comport to my America!

Let’s look at some of his actions in the past three years, each of which are illustrated or discussed below. Please note that this list is not complete, for if it were we would not have sufficient space for other posts. Notwithstanding, any one point herein is enough to validate an agenda of destruction. Barack Obama and those that have surrounded him are as duplicitous, disingenuous and un-American as you can be; with each hiding behind the veil of generosity and flattery and granting largesse from the public treasury in an attempted purchase of our American society (see video below). On the surface their actions may seem benign while behind the scenes their scheming to dismantle our freedoms and liberty is terribly malignant. In times past I thought Obama’s minions were just deceived by his flattery, position and power, but their actions are so revealing and overt in advancing Obama’s ideological agenda, which ideology is firmly entrenched in socialist and communistic principles, that they must be one in purpose. (Dirty Harry’s recent rant, as noted by Vic Lundquist, is simply a reflection of the disingenuous character of Obama’s campaign.)

If there is any doubt about Obama, we can study his brief and ‘hidden’ history, his writings and his associations, and therein know his ideology. His actions don’t belie his ideological heritage. In fact, his actions embrace his ideology. By removing the blinders, we clearly see who Obama really is by virtue of his associations, including but not limited to his mentoring from his friend Frank Davis (an avowed advocate and member of the Communist Party); his past membership in Chicago’s New Party (a Socialist Society); his affiliations and friendship with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright whose anti-American rhetoric is as fomenting as the clerics in the radical jihadist movement; his association and friendship with Bill Ayers, a convicted anti-American terrorist; his adoption of the teachings of Saul Alinsky (the father of community activist thuggery); and his associations with other unsavory characters. As individuals we tend to align ourselves and associate with those that are most like us in principles and ideals. Each of those noted above exposes Obama for who he is and reveals the foundations of his character. So is Obama! Why should we doubt? The actions are reflective of the man (see below).

Mitt Romney’s latest ad that reveals Obama’s shadow initiative to purchase society and create greater dependency.

Obama’s continued promotion and advocacy for America’s dependency, evidenced by his untenable food stamp initiatives!

Obama’s welfare state expansion!

History Revisited? 1980 Perspectives from Carter-Reagan…Obama-Romney?

In January 1980, ABC News and Harris Survey’s released the following headline – Carter Now Far Ahead of Both Reagan and Bush, with the introduction statement: “President Carter so dominates the American political scene now that his margin over Ronald Reagan in a post-Iowa trial heat has risen to an overwhelming 65-31 percent. And against George [HW] Bush, the GOP candidate who finished first in the recent Iowa caucuses, Carter leads by only a slightly lower 62-32 percent.”

A chart of the 1980 polls leading up to the election, recently published by Forbes, offers some additional insights to some of our failed memories.

Fortunately for America, the polling wasn’t reflective of reality. Will history repeat itself? The video posted by Vic Lundquist (here) of Bill O’Reilly’s talking points provides further substance to the argument, and is worthy of watching.

Current polls, in reflection upon 1980, are interesting.

Some comparative statistics, 1980-2012, are equally revealing (see below). The key statistical similarities tell their own story, but when you further juxtapose Jimmy Carter’s philosophical want and solution for bigger government vis-a-vis Ronald Reagan’s return to smaller government, lower taxes and empowerment of private enterprise; and Obama’s Carter-minded approach vis-a-vis Romney’s Reagan-minded approach, the question arises – will history repeat itself? In addition to statistical analytics and philosophical divides, you also have similarities in the incompetence factors of Carter and Obama against the leadership/experience competency of Reagan and Romney.

As if this historical perspective is not enough, compound the analysis with Obama’s oppressive $5,000,000,000,000 of additional US debt (more than all previous US Presidents combined), consecutive trillion dollar deficits to support reprehensible spending, nearly $16,000,000,000,000 in borrowings that exceed our annual GDP, Obamacare taxation, and a fractious divide unmatched in recent history – the argument becomes even more compelling for change.

Even so, it is still July and with historical perspective, the real campaign won’t engage until after Labor Day. Presently, Obama seems to be flailing and spending like a drunken sailor. He is wanting to engage Mitt Romney on every other subject but the economy and his record. Obama’s continued and constant attacks on character, competence, class warfare and experience reflect a campaign without substance, purpose or message. On the other hand Mitt Romney continues to be measured and focused on what matters; remaining resolute in his key message about the economy. After all, by every measure, it is the economy that matters to so many.

This will be a campaign where discipline, character and competence matter. Yes, Mr. Obama’s likability factors are high and people seem to like him for the time being (as they did Carter) – but when push comes to shove and economic pressures are prevailing; when real unemployment and reported unemployment remain at 14.9% and 8.2%, respectively; when home foreclosures remain at all time highs; when poverty indicators remain at all time highs; when median incomes decline by $4,600; when people are just plain tired of being tired and fighting the daily battle for survival; and when consumer confidence is at an all-time low amid uncertainty at an all time high – likability is less consequential to the electorate. This is an election about competence and restoring our Belief in America; that better days are ahead!

I personally take comfort in an historical perspective and even more so in Mitt Romney. A man who has been prepared for this day, and whose capacity to lead America to better days ahead is unparalleled to any who have preceded him in our lifetime. Fortunately our nation has, through its history, seen men and women arise amid uncertainty, trial and tribulation to lead with principle in our nation’s defining moments. This is such a time, and Mitt Romney is such a man!

Mitt Romney doesn’t care about poor people? WRONG!

In the 24 hour news cycle, the story of the day has been Mitt’s comments to CNN in the early morning after his Florida win. While I think even the most ardent Romney fan would admit that this could and should have (and will be) phrased more adeptly, the liberals have taken and run with the partial quote that he’s “not concerned with the very poor” … It looks worse in print that in the context of the interview:

Mitt cares deeply about the poor, and his actions speak louder than words. How many “journalists” have bothered to mention that Mitt has given over $7,000,000 (SEVEN FREAKING MILLION!) to charitable organizations in just the last two years? Records from before then show the Romney’s consistent giving millions upon millions to organizations that care for the poor. By contrast, Joe Biden gave only $3690 to charity in an entire decade … that’s PROOF of someone that doesn’t care about the poor. From 2001-4, the Obamas made nearly a million dollars, but donated LESS THAN 1% of that income to charity.

Or what about when Mitt gave cash out of his pocket to the lady in South Carolina who said God guided her to follow Romney’s campaign bus to find help to keep her lights on? The EXACT SAME CNN REPORTER (Soledad) even reported about that a couple of weeks ago … does she have no memory?

Mitt doesn’t care about poor people? Demonstrably false and easy to debunk (and this is without even delving into fact that Mitt, as a Mormon Bishop for several years, dedicated much of his time to caring for the poor in a very “hands on” fashion). If Obama and team push this theme it will come back to bite them. Mitt’s done more to care for the poor than any snarky reporter or any of his political rivals.

Recall Vic’s post from a couple days back that highlighted Romney’s life of service and included the following YouTube:

Additionally, Brit Hume on Fox News today adroitly argued that anyone who wants to “make hay” or be offended by this out-of-context quote wouldn’t be voting for a GOP candidate anyways. I’d have to agree.
