PENNSYLVANIA!

The state has suddenly emerged as up-for-grabs and Governor Mitt Romney was there.

Tonight, in the cold and growing darkness, a behemoth crowd in Morrisville, PA, estimated between 20,000 – 30,000 waited for the chance to see Romney. In spite of the chilly air, the Governor and his wife, Ann, were greeted with lots of flag-waving, roaring enthusiasm, and fired-up energy. It was amazing!

Romney Can Right Listing Ship

We urge our readers to cast their vote for Mitt Romney to be the next president of the United States.

We did not endorse then-junior Sen. Barack Obama four years ago as we felt he was unprepared and lacked the leadership and real-world skill sets vital for holding the most important office in the world.

Our fears were correct.

Obama fell way short on his promise of hope and change. He learned the hard way, at America’s expense, that clever slogans and catchy phrases are no substitute for strategic plans that include party(s) buy-in, well-thought-out details, structure and accountability.

Indeed, America stands at critical crossroads for her future on Tuesday.

Mitt Romney is a former governor, a proven leader, with a successful record both in governing and in business. He understands the importance of free enterprise. He comprehends with perfect clarity that small businesses and entrepreneurs – not the government – are the drivers of a strong economy.

Romney believes a robust economy is the key to alleviating poverty and helping people become more self-reliant.

During this campaign, Romney laid out detailed plans for economic recovery, job growth and reducing the public debt, concepts painfully absent from Obama’s campaign.

Romney promises to unleash America’s energy resources like never before, ushering in a new era of energy independence. And our region will benefit greatly from that goal. Romney will halt Obama’s premeditated efforts to crush one of our area’s most precious job creators – the coal industry.

America yearns for a president who will unite us – not divide us.

One with vision, who will inspire, uplift and motivate.

America wants a president who will promote our national values abroad and not apologize for them – a leader who will hold up this great nation as the beacon of freedom that she remains.

Gov. Romney is that leader, and we urge our readers to cast their vote for a stronger America, by electing Mitt Romney as the next president of the United States.

Talk about exciting! If you live in Pennsylvania, click here to help. Anyone can help by making calls from home, too.

Is anyone getting any sleep?!

Still Want to Vote for Obama? Former Liberals Step Up (Powerful #Video)

Barack Obama is an outstanding orator and as such, has made dozens of soaring promises ranging from bringing the unemployment rate down to 5.5% in his first term to televising behind-the-scenes negotiations to complete transparency and ending partisan bickering. Promises are easy to make. Setting strong goals and attaining them was never Mr. Obama’s strong suit. It is Mitt Romney’s.

I believe no American would ever vote for Barack Obama if they watched this video.

Hat Tip to Enrique Romero for bringing this video to MRC.

It’s Now Time To Decide

If you had already made up your mind going into Monday night’s presidential debate, nothing said probably changed your mind. But for those who were undecided, there certainly was some food for thought.

But what was lacking on the part of the president was a vision for the future and credibility based on the past. The current commander in chief repeatedly accused Romney of reaching back into history for failed policies of the past both home and abroad. The president summoned images of President Herbert Hoover and others which history has deemed failures. In doing so, Obama tried to gloss over his own history of failed promises — on unemployment, on balancing the budget, cutting the deficit and — as we believe — earning the respect of our overseas allies.

Admittedly, Obama’s failures center mostly around domestic policy — Romney’s strength. But as Romney pointed out Monday night, in order to be strong and respected on the international stage, the United States must be strong economically.

As readers know, there is no doubt on the part of the editorial board here at Foster’s Daily Democrat new leadership is needed from the White House. We believe all three debates — but especially the first — support that notion. We believe that, on balance, the debates have shown Mitt Romney to be the more capable and with a vision for the future — a vision President Obama has failed to offer.

On Nov. 6, we urge voters to give Mitt Romney a chance to offer the nation real hope and change.

Romney’s The One

Four years ago the voters put their faith in a man who offered vague promises of hope and change at a time when any change looked like a good idea and hope was in short supply.

What this nation got in Barack Obama was a president who used an economic crisis to further his redistributionist agenda — and, not surprisingly, failed miserably at restoring American prosperity. Oh, he brought change all right — to a government-knows-best philosophy that has given us four years of high unemployment, higher gas prices, a $16 trillion deficit, and a job-killing regulatory environment.
..
Enough! This isn’t the kind of change anyone can believe in.

The other simple fact is that in Mitt Romney voters have not merely a safe and steady alternative but a proven leader and an extraordinarily skilled expert in the art of the economic turnaround.

He did that all over again for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

What Romney knows at the core of his being is that sometimes government must step aside and sometimes it must lead.

Last night the nation saw a man who in the area of foreign policy is prepared to lead, who knows that for the United States to remain safe it must reclaim its place on the world stage.

During the last four years the world has become a more dangerous place. We can’t afford four more years of a leadership vacuum.

Not when in Mitt Romney voters have the choice of a strong, smart hand on the helm, a decent, caring man, who lives his faith, who loves his country and would serve it well. For all of those reasons, the Boston Herald is pleased to endorse Mitt Romney for president.

Paul Ryan’s MUST-HEAR Speech in Cleveland: War on Poverty? Poverty is Winning

GOP V.P. candidate Congressman Paul Ryan gestures while speaking of the war on poverty during a speech at the Walter B. Waetjen Auditorium at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio. Oct 24, 2012 (Photo – Tony Dejak/AP)

A packed auditorium awaited him…

Congressman Paul Ryan today was very warmly received today as he walked on stage at the University of Cleveland in Ohio. With his unique, clear capacity to speak succinctly on the enriching principles of our free enterprise system, Ryan delivered a powerhouse speech on upward mobility and the economy.

War on Poverty? Poverty is Winning

FOX 8 Cleveland offers this preview:

WATCH Ryan’s entire speech here (begins @:37).

Transcript of Ryan’s compelling speech:

UPWARD MOBILITY AND THE ECONOMY

Thank you very much for that warm welcome – and thank you Jimmy, for that great introduction. I want to thank everyone at Cleveland State University for your kind hospitality. I especially want to thank President Berkman for his help in making this happen. And of course, none of us would be here today without the extraordinary work of Bob Woodson and the Center for Neighborhood Enterprise. Thank you, Bob, for bringing us together today.

We are here in partnership on behalf of an idea – that no matter who your parents are, no matter where you come from, you should have the opportunity in America to rise, to escape from poverty, and to achieve whatever your God-given talents and hard work enable you to achieve.

In so many ways, our nation’s history has been a long struggle to bring opportunity into every life. Our nation was founded on the creed that “all men are created equal” – that we all possess equal rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. But, of course, equality of opportunity hasn’t always been a fact of life in our country – it’s been something we’ve had to constantly fight for. It’s a cause that continues to this day.

Even though so many barriers to equality have fallen, too many old inequities persist. Too many children, especially African-American and Hispanic children, are sent into mediocre schools and expected to perform with excellence. African-American and Hispanic children make up only 38 percent of the nation’s overall students, but they are 69 percent of the students in schools identified as lowest performing.

That’s unacceptable. We owe every child a chance to succeed. In the words of Abraham Lincoln, we owe them “an unfettered start and a fair chance in the race of life.” Upward mobility is the central promise of life in America. But right now, America’s engines of upward mobility aren’t working the way they should.

Mitt Romney and I are running because we believe that Americans are better off in a dynamic, free-enterprise-based economy that fosters economic growth, opportunity and upward mobility instead of a stagnant, government-directed economy that stifles job creation and fosters government dependency.

There is something wrong in our country when 40 percent of children born to parents in the lowest fifth of earners never know anything better. The question before us today – and it demands a serious answer – is how do we get the engines of upward mobility turned back on, so that no one is left out from the promise of America?

For President

After nearly four years of economic stagnation, massive unemployment, record-setting debt and government intrusions into the economy that have paralyzed the private sector, the United States needs a new direction. For this reason, The Dispatch urges voters to choose Republican Mitt Romney for president in the Nov. 6 election.

Four years after promising hope and change, and after a deficit-driving $787 billion stimulus program, here is the result:

• 12.1 million unemployed, with an unemployment rate above 8 percent for 43 of the past 44 months.

• 8.6 million working part time because they can’t find full-time work

• 2.5 million who wanted to work, but have stopped looking for jobs.

• In 2009, real median household income was $52,195. By 2011, it had fallen to $50,054

• In 2009, the U.S. poverty rate was 14.3 percent. By 2011, the poverty rate climbed to 15 percent.

• On Obama’s watch, 12 million more Americans joined the food-stamp program, which has reached a record of more than 46 million enrollees.

• Annual federal budget deficits above $1 trillion for the past four years, increasing the national debt to an all-time high of $16 trillion.

Obama has failed. That is why Mitt Romney is the preferred choice for president. Romney’s adult life has been spent turning around troubled private and public institutions. These turnarounds include scores of companies acquired and restructured by Bain Capital, the investment firm he founded in 1984. Not all were successes, but that is because to a significant degree, many of the companies Bain took on were high-risk. In 1999, he was asked to take over the scandal-plagued and fiscally mismanaged 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. He quickly streamlined its management, fixed its finances and guaranteed its security, turning it into a success. As governor of Massachusetts, he made tough decisions to lead the state out of a budget deficit, and he did so in a state dominated by Democrats.

As a career businessman and former governor, Romney brings a wealth of executive experience in the private sector and the public sector that dwarfs that of Obama. From working both sides of the government/private-sector equation, he understands how that relationship can aid or impede prosperity. His election would be an immediate signal to the private sector that someone who knows what he is doing is managing the nation’s economic policy. The effect on business confidence would be dramatic and immediate, and business confidence is the vital ingredient needed to spur investment and hiring, the two things that the United States so desperately needs.

In 2008, Americans made a leap of faith when they elevated the inexperienced Obama to the White House. That faith was not rewarded. This time, voters should place their hopes for change in experience, by electing Romney.

Our Pick For President: Romney

Two days after his lackluster first debate performance, President Barack Obama’s re-election hopes got a timely boost. The government’s monthly jobless report for September showed the nation’s unemployment rate fell below 8 percent for the first time since he took office.

If that were the only metric that mattered, the president might credibly argue that the U.S. economy was finally on the right track. Unfortunately for him, and for the American people, he can’t.

We have little confidence that Obama would be more successful managing the economy and the budget in the next four years. For that reason, though we endorsed him in 2008, we are recommending Romney in this race.

Now the president and his supporters are attacking Romney because his long-term budget blueprint calls for money-saving reforms to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, three of the biggest drivers of deficit spending. Obama would be more credible in critiquing the proposal if he had a serious alternative for bringing entitlement spending under control. He doesn’t.

[T]he core of Romney’s campaign platform, his five-point plan, at least shows he understands that reviving the economy and repairing the government’s balance sheet are imperative — now, not four years in the future.

Romney has a strong record of leadership to run on. He built a successful business. He rescued the 2002 Winter Olympics from scandal and mismanagement. As governor of Massachusetts, he worked with a Democrat-dominated legislature to close a $3billion budget deficit without borrowing or raising taxes….

But after reflecting on his [Obama's] four years in the White House, we also don’t think that he’s the best qualified candidate in this race.

We endorse Mitt Romney for president.

Governor Romney Supports Women in Business & Leadership

By Dorothy Price Hill & Mary Smith

As we progress through October, we wish to acknowledge “Women’s Small Business Month” and to honor women for their contributions to the US economy. Governor Romney believes that economic prosperity and freedom go hand in hand. He recently stated,

Dorothy Price Hill

“The most successful countries shared something in common. They were the freest. They protected the rights of the individual. They enforced the rule of law. And they encouraged free enterprise. They understood that economic freedom is the only force in history that has consistently lifted people out of poverty – and kept people out of poverty.”

With this in mind, we will discuss legislative achievements that have propelled women to be a dynamic and vital part of the US economy. Additionally, we will discuss women-owned businesses from a legislative perspective. Governor Romney will ensure women (including millions of working mothers) continue to thrive and be a vital force in our economy’s recovery and we will identify challenges faced by women owned businesses.

Mary Smith

When considering the Presidential choices before us, it is important to note that past behavior is the greatest predictor of future behavior. In this regard, President Obama is the antithesis of Governor Romney. The current President has expanded government, increased the deficit and proposed higher taxes which would further cripple America small businesses. Since President Obama became President, gas prices have increased, household incomes have fallen and more Americans have sunk into poverty as well as experienced first-time foreclosure of their only home (or have already completed the foreclosure process). Worse yet, he has added over $5 trillion in new debt to our Federal budget deficit and lacks the leadership to bring our government back from the edge of this fiscal cliff. In 2009, small businesses represented 99.7% of all employers in the United States. Think about your local florist, the daycare center and the automobile repair center. These business owners are increasingly concerned about the Federal and State deficits, the burdens of corporate taxes and the Obamacare Federal healthcare mandate.

Quoting Andrea Saul, Governor Romney’s Press Secretary, “Thanks to President Obama’s imaginary recovery, the median earnings for women declined by nearly $1,000. And the poverty rate among women is 16.3% — the highest rate in 17 years.” And as CNN Money stated, “The ‘mancession’ has morphed into the ‘hecovery,’ leaving women workers largely in the dust.” Make no mistake about it — women are worried. And they’re not just worried about themselves — they’re worried about their children’s future. They don’t want them to be saddled with debt from our generation, which has surpassed a record-high $16 trillion. This isn’t the recovery we deserve — and it’s a not a real recovery if it means that women have to take on two or three jobs just to afford to put gas in their cars and food on the table.”

Impromptu meeting October 8, 2012

Unlike President Obama, Governor Romney gets it: women drive the US economy. His pro-growth, pro-women plan for a stronger (and rebounding) middle class means more jobs, more take-home pay, and better opportunities. Governor Romney has devoted his entire life since business school and law school supporting successful ventures and advising businesses on transformation. As Governor of Massachusetts, he led by example embracing diversity and seeking the most qualified candidates for his cabinet and executive offices. In Governor Romney’s acceptance speech for the Republican nomination, he stated, “As governor of Massachusetts, I chose a woman lieutenant governor, a woman chief of staff, half of my cabinet and senior officials were women, and in business I mentored and supported great women leaders who went on to run great companies.” His proposals for his Presidency include reducing government spending and creating a business-friendly environment which will provide opportunity for prosperity and success. Without prosperity and success coupled with tackling the budget deficit, future generations of Americans will be doomed.

Legislative Perspective

We will discuss two key pieces of legislation that have positively and profoundly impacted women and the economy. As we embark on this new century, it is important to reflect on the accomplishments that women in business have achieved. On October 25, 1988, Republican President Ronald Reagan signed Public Law (PL) 100-533 “The Women’s Business Ownership Act”. Highlights of this bill included:

Compelling Reasons for Romney! Guest Author: Terry Ryan

Rob and Terry Ryan are dear friends and rank among America’s pre-eminent entrepreneurs, having successfully built many billion dollar companies. During a recent visit with the Ryan’s, Terry mentioned her recent presentation about Mitt Romney to the Pachyderm Club of Missoula, Montana. At my request Terry shared her message and with her permission we print it here. As an attorney, Terry provides a compelling and succinct argument in Mitt’s favor.

Hello, I am Terry Ryan and I am the Women for Romney Chair for Montana.

My husband and I have lived the American Dream.

Rob was born in Fort Apache in the Bronx. You’ve seen the movie… it is the worst slum in America.

We met when we were freshmen at Cornell University and married after graduation. I supported Rob through graduate school. However, when Rob was a graduate student, he had to work full time at the same time to pay off his undergraduate loans. You see immediate repayment was mandatory back then.

We learned from that experience and saved my law school tuition in advance. After my graduation we moved from Boston to Silicon Valley where Rob won a major award his very first year at Intel Corp. for authoring the IEEE specification for Ethernet.

Because of the award, he was recruited as ‘Vice President of Engineering’ by a start up, then, fired less than a year later. It was 1981. The Country was still suffering the Carter Malaise. Unable to find work, he was forced to start his first company. It was a miserable failure, but he did manage to sell it… after a year without any income. Seven years later the two of us founded Ascend Communications. That was a grand slam homerun.

Kliener Perkins Venture Capital funded us in 1990. In 1994 we took the company public with a 64% profit margin. In 1995 Business Week named us the most profitable stock of the year. We had a 921% gain. In 1996 we were added to the Standard and Poor’s 500 index. We had over 5,000 employees in 1999 when Lucent acquired Ascend for a record breaking amount.

You see, we had invented and manufactured nearly 90% of the hardware used for an infant industry called: The Internet. YES WE BUILT IT!

But times are different now. Americans are worried. Mitt Romney has talked to thousands of Americans all over the country – in company cafeterias, school gymnasiums, and factory floors. They are worried about their children, their jobs, their mortgages and their future. They are right to be worried.

All across our great land people are hurting. Some have lost jobs. Others are working two jobs to get by. Many have fallen out of the middle class and are struggling to get back. While the cost of living goes up and up, they are living paycheck to paycheck.

They are tired of being scared. While our government tells us unemployment has been above 8% for 43 straight months it’s actually worse than that! A full 16% of our workforce does not have work. If you were self employed like realtors and independent contractors, and you don’t have work, you are not counted. If your unemployment ran out or you just gave up looking, you are no longer counted. If you are young and looking for your first job, you don’t count. Half of our new college graduates cannot find decent jobs.

One in six Americans are below the poverty line today. More than when President Johnson declared the War on Poverty. We need to reconstruct our safety nets so they bounce people out of poverty, rather than trap them inside it.

In the past three and half years America has amassed an additional FIVE trillion dollars of debt, more than all other presidential administrations combined. After four years it’s clear President Obama’s policies are making things worse.

The current President is driving Americans apart, creating class warfare, demonizing success. It does not need to be this way! As Condoleezza Rice says: “America has never been a narrative of agrievement against others. It has always been one of empowerment and opportunity. Never have we said… I’m doing poorly because you are doing well.” If the Presidency can be won that way, we all lose.

This election is about restoring the promise of America. It is a stark choice between two visions for our country’s future. We don’t need more excuses. We don’t need more blame. What we need is a new President.

Romney and Ryan have a positive agenda that will lead to economic growth. It will bring widespread and shared prosperity. Their plan for a stronger middle class will get America back to work, balance the budget and put America’s finances on a sustainable path. They are offering solutions that are bold, yet specific. They are committed to helping create the 12 million new jobs America needs.

The Romney/Ryan plan to get America working again focuses on these five things:

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, Aug. 21, 2012 (Justin Sullivan/ Getty Images )

First: Energy independence. We can achieve North American Energy Independence by 2020 if we take advantage of our domestic oil, our natural gas, our coal, our renewables and our nuclear power. Abundant, inexpensive domestic energy will not only create energy jobs, it will bring manufacturing jobs back to America.

Second: We must give our workers and our kids the skills they need to succeed. Our nation is failing in public education. For too long we have let the agenda of union bosses steer the agenda of our schools. It is time to put the students’ needs first. . . . Sandy Welch, who is running for Montana Superintendent of Schools told me about a conversation she had with a group of school administrators. She was advocating putting the students’ needs in the center of all other considerations. They looked at her dumbfounded! Finally one of them stammered, “we have never heard such a thing from any elected officials. It has always been all about Union’s rights! . . . It ‘s time for that to end!

What the Media Doesn’t Want You to Know: Obama’s Follies

Below is an historical perspective that the media will diminish and distort, or not even disclose or discuss with America as they strive to protect and promote Barack Obama. Why? Whether in ideological alignment with Obama or striving for relevance and power in our society, the media is wont to attack or undermine Mitt Romney and the conservative movement, at any price without boundary, integrity or principle. What Obama and the media fail to realize in their blindness and pandering for relevance and power, is that they only become relevant and important unto themselves. By and through their misguided actions to become relevant, they become irrelevant. Never before in our history has the media, or our President for that matter, been so irresponsible and caught up in their own self-importance; never before have they been so blatant in their wants and posturing to America’s discredit; never before have they revealed who they really are and abandoned all ethical boundaries; never before have they exposed themselves with reckless and irresponsible abandon. The battle lines have been drawn and the media has joined the opposition. Their insidious lack of integrity and public profile is undermining the very fabric of our society, and all in the name of their principal advocate, Barack Obama. The same could be said for the liberal thinkers in our center-right society. The liberal thinkers and the media have aligned with one another and through their protestations convinced themselves that they are a reflection of American society; again, at the behest of their leading advocate, Barack Obama. They are not a reflection of the majority of American’s, yet – and hopefully they never will! Surely, they and Obama represent some in America, but clearly, truth and ideology be told, it is the minority. By and through their public pulpit each are convinced if they shout loud enough we will be equally convinced. What is tragic is the blatant lies and manipulations in play; with stories suppressed, polls manipulated, and lies promulgated – the media and Obama are trying to sell what is good as bad and what is bad as good. This deception has to stop! History has proven when the majority in society remain silent to the protestations of the extremes, lives and freedoms are lost – Not here, and not in America!

Intentional as the media may be to try and diminish and suppress conservative voter turnout by skewed and distorted polls, deceitful attacks on conservative values and Mitt Romney, or collusion to suppress information and deviate from substance – they will not succeed. I believe the efforts of deception will diminish Democratic turnout and elevate the Conservative turnout!

Noted in the recent post by Vic Lundquist, voices are being raised in opposition and standing on principles, gratefully!

The historical aggregation of some of Obama’s follies without sufficient media disclosure and publication is distressing for many reasons, not the least of which are the lives and freedoms lost.

1) Barack Obama’s failure to act on advance intel to protect our Libyan Ambassador and his colleagues; and his subsequent cover up of known intelligence reports conjunctive with his recent dismissiveness and failure to address and acknowledge terrorism on US territory in Libya and 20 embassies around the world.

2) Lives were lost because of Obama’s failed leadership and inattentions in the Middle East. Today our military is under severe threat because of the undermining attitudes and policies of Barack Obama. Each day we are losing men and women because of political posturing by Obama in Afghanistan – our enemy has infiltrated our ‘allies’ and are killing our soldiers, and nothing is said or done to stop it.

3) Barack Obama’s compromising leaks of national security matters to bolster his foreign policy bona fides, and put our nation at further risk.

4) Barack Obama’s foreign policy priorities to appease and accommodate our enemies; his foreign policy priorities to advocate the LGBT agenda as a condition of American aid, ‘cultural imperialism.’

5) Obama’s abandonment of world leadership; abandonment of Israel; accommodation to a soon-to-be nuclear Iran; accommodation to an Arab Winter and radical Islamic leadership that has put in play a conflagration in the Middle East.

6) Barack Obama’s willful taxes on the poor and middle class when he stated the contrary. (a) Obama stated he wouldn’t raise a dollar of tax on the middle class; and yet, he clearly stated he would wage a war on energy and bankrupt certain industries, including the coal industry. Consequentially, we have seen gasoline prices and home fuel costs more than double in 3 years. American’s are paying at least $1,200-$4,000 more per year in fuel costs because of Obama’s stated policies which is an egregious tax on all. (b) Obama’s debt agenda has imposed a principal borrowing of nearly $6 trillion, plus interest, on all Americans! His spending is one of the most significant taxes he can impose on this and future generations. What isn’t discussed is the cost of interest on this debt when interest rates go up, and they will go up. (c) Obamacare will further impose a minimum tax on all American’s of at least $4,000 per year and in the years to come, and so much more. Additionally, under Obamacare our seniors have to pay an added Obamacare tax on the sale of their homes.

Romney is Right on an Entitled Society! He Cares! ***UPDATED***

The left is making hay over a recent statement attributed to Mitt Romney; A statement that resonates as being true and consistent with most reasonable and rational thinkers. A similar statement is also attributed to Alexander Tyler [Tytler], a Scottish lawyer and history professor at the University of Edinburgh in the late 1700′s- “A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.” The statement has also been attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville, although Tyler precedes him in attribution. The fact remains, A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. History proves the point! These issues are further described in the preamble of, On The Brink, America’s Choice 2012.

***UPDATED***

Romney responds to fundraising video:

And here is the video that all of this is about:

By the way, the context of Mitt’s comments are not in dispute by Democrats, Republicans or Independents. The facts are supported wherein those of lesser education and financial means who are Democrats will support Obama, and those of higher education and financial means who are Republicans will support Romney. Unfortunate as it is, we are a divided society, made worse by Obama’s continued class warfare. Clearly, the poor have found favor in Obama’s willingness to purchase them further with greater dependency. And, Obama’s want to purchase the greater part of our society with debt and dependency – the middle class is what is so frightening. Even so, the majority of American’s (for the time being), if given a choice, would chose a job over a welfare or entitlement check.

If Obama really cared about the disenfranchised, poor and ‘entitled’ in our society he would not oppress them by further entitlement and dependency, but lift them up with opportunity. Mitt Romney has stated time and time again, the greatest means to elevate people from poverty and entitlement is the free enterprise system, and HE IS RIGHT! The fact that Mitt Romney espouses the policies of free enterprise that he does is because it works, and because he cares! In today’s society the Obama soothsayers and flatterers are trying to redefine the terms, ‘good and bad’ – they promote what is good (free enterprise and self reliance) as bad, and what is bad (dependency and debt) as good. A purchased society is not a free society.

Obama and Romney are vying for the ‘middle class independent’ vote because of the current divide. The message is clear from each – Obama is trying to purchase the middle class independents by offering generous gifts from a depleted and debt burdened treasury; Romney is advocating opportunity, free markets and free enterprise as a means to elevate society. Obama is shrouding his campaign in secrecy, distortions and lies; Romney is being truthful and returning to principles of freedom and democracy that have made America the exceptional nation that it is! As Romney states in the video, the ‘Middle Class’ and Independents will be the primary determinants of who wins the election at the end of the day. Therefore the question remains for the ‘Middle Class’ and Independents, who cares more for your interest and who will have a greater impact on your future, Barack Obama or Mitt Romney? I am grateful that Mitt Romney cares enough to put it all on the line and stand for principles that will restore our nation in opposition to Barack Obama whose ideology will destroy our nation and our freedoms.

***UPDATE***

While in Orange County, Mitt Romney convened a press conference to offer additional color to the comments taken out of context here. Somehow the results of Romney’s fundraiser tonight were elevated – do you really think there is an absence of energy among Republicans? More crowds, more contributions, MORE ENERGY!

And Hugh Hewitt provides further commentary here. Regarding the mainstream media, facts? Who needs facts!

Say what you will, but for me and my house, I choose freedom over dependency. I care about the poor, I care about the needy, I care about the entitled, and have served them all of my life. The greatest thing any of us can do for them is wean them from society’s entitlement and create opportunity that lifts them from the burdens they bear. For those who are unable, it is our responsibility to care for them! This is not the message of Barack Obama, This is the message of Mitt Romney!

The choice is clear, Barack Obama is an advocate for a dependent society reliant upon entitlements.

Obama, Failing American Families

Below are two of Mitt Romney’s latest ads, mostly broadcast in swing states. There is no doubt about the battle ahead: Mitt Romney, principles, integrity and freedom vs Barack Obama, the mainstream media, Labor Unions, lies (say and do whatever it takes to retain power), dependency and debt. The lines are drawn and America will have a clear choice. Even so, Obama and his cronies will conform their message with guile and duplicity to try and purchase our society. The agendas are clear, and so must be the message. Obama will shade his message to appeal to all with a “flaxen cord” approach trying to reel us in before binding us in untenable chains of debt and subordination. Romney will deliver a message of reason, rationale and hope for restoring what made America great and exceptional; a strong and free economy; a strong and free America that defends freedom around the world. Romney will also have to call Obama out for his lies and those of the media. The cause is freedom and it is worth the fight!

The messaging of these two ads are indicative of some of what we will see in the future. You have to ask the question, how do you feel when viewing the ads?

Further, the upcoming debates will have a profound affect on the hearts and minds of American’s. Our prayers should be with Governor and Mrs. Romney, and Paul Ryan and their advisors, that they might be endowed with discernment in knowing how to communicate their messages of light and truth that will resonate with American’s and the world, and further how to expose the lies and deceit of those who seek to flatter America to its demise.
