Obama Wants Secty of BUSINESS? USA Needs BUSINESSMAN Mitt Romney!

President Obama recently stated, if reelected, he might rustle up a Secretary of Business.

Why?

Because, when it comes to business, Obama is LOST.

Plus, tossing out that new position to the masses is a two-fer for Obama. He thinks it makes him sound smart and hopes it assuages the electorate’s fear about him right now – that he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Obama’s out-to-lunch-on-business evidence: His colossal mountain of national debt is proof. America’s pitiful downgraded credit rating is proof. His ‘shovel-ready‘ projects, er, lack thereof, is proof. His weak economy is proof. The number of desperate Americans standing in unemployment lines is proof. Americans working part-time when they fiercely need a full-time job is proof. Those who have given up – just stopped looking for a job is proof. Declining, downward middle class incomes is proof. The sad number of Americans descended into poverty is proof. The woeful number of Americans on welfare is proof. The atrocious number of U.S. citizens surviving on food stamps is proof. Swelling disability rolls are proof. His take-over socialization of health care is proof. His trade policies are proof. Onerous job-impeding federal regulations are proof. His auto bailout is proof. His squandered “stimulus” of $787 billion which America’s children and grandchildren will be forced to pay back is proof. His nix-on-anything beneath-the-ground energy policy is proof. (Federal oil drilling permits down 36%! War on coal! No Keystone pipeline! High gasoline prices! And, with the October bankruptcy of Satcon Technology Corp as many as 50 Obama-backed green energy companies have gone belly up or are wobbling!) His hoped-for tax policy is proof. His aversion to numbers, e.g., a federal budget, is proof.

Obama’s badgering, big government beliefs are bad for America. When it comes to business, our outsourcer President is agonizingly, hair-pullingly, head-bangingly daft. That’s why he’s dangling the idea of adding another bureaucrat and bureaucracy if he finagles another four.

Team Romney has released a fantastic new ad. We’ve only got five days, people. Let’s SHARE it!

Barack Obama recently said he might appoint a Secretary of Business.

His solution to everything is to add another bureaucrat.

Mitt Romney understands business and knows what it will take to create jobs and get our economy moving again.

He’s done it before.

He’ll do it again.

At this crucial, decisive time, America must have a president who UNDERSTANDS business.

America needs Mitt Romney.

UPDATE – Paul Ryan’s remarks on Obama at Greeley, Colorado today (November 1, 2012):

“He can’t run on the broken promises. He can’t run on the trillion-dollar deficits each and every year. But he did come up with a new idea the other day. He’s got a new idea for the second term, and here’s what it is. In addition to all the borrowing and all the spending and all the money printing and all the regulating, he wants a new Cabinet position. He wants to create a new secretary of business. You know, we already have a secretary of business. It’s actually called the Secretary of Commerce. That’s what this agency does. Let me ask you a question. Can anybody name our current Secretary of Commerce? You know why? We don’t have one. It’s been vacant for over four months, and the president hasn’t even proposed or put somebody in the job. We don’t need another bureaucrat or another bureaucracy.”

Romney/Ryan: Resounding, Resolute Support at Red Rocks, CO!

Thousands upon thousands came to hear Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan speak last night at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, near Morrison, Colorado. NM Governor Susana Martinez, and entertainers Kid Rock and Rodney Atkins, also shared the stage with Romney and Ryan. Click on image to enlarge.

What a night!

In spite of gridlocked traffic hours before the event began, from near and far, they pressed forward. Driving up mountain roads, through the rocks they came…

As far as the eye could see, thousands of Romney/Ryan supporters made their way to magnificent Red Rocks Park, Colorado, for a chance in a life-time to see Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan – together for the first time in the beautiful Centennial State. The venue filled to capacity; many were turned away.

Sarah Hoyt at Instapundit.com writes:

Romney Ryan Rally at Red Rocks: [W]e left our home in time to get there just before five under normal conditions. About thirty miles out, the highway became a parking lot, where we got stuck for the next two hours. The freaky thing was the lines extending behind us at least as much. The highway exit was closed, but we’re conservatives/libertarians, we find ways. So we went back roads, parked in way outlaying parking lot (for another facility) and tried to walk. Only the people ahead of us were getting turned back at the door, so we all walked back to our cars shouting stuff like “Romney” and “Soon a real president.” Look at those pictures and let me tell you, at least that many of us were turned away or prevented from approaching.

See 360 photo posted here (scroll in/out, click two circles at top for 360 degree views).

As the enormous crowd waited to hear Congressman Ryan and Governor Romney (who, by the way, was fresh off his third and final well-executed debate with Obama), entertainers Kid Rock and Rodney Atkins wowed them.

Up-and-comer New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez – the first female Hispanic governor in the history of the United States – was also on hand to rev up the massive audience. (Remember her terrific GOP Convention speech?!)

Martinez:

Now, President Obama rattled off a “cute” joke last night about defense planning not being a game of Battleship. Well Mr. President, our BUDGET isn’t a game of Monopoly, either! Attacking Mitt Romney is NOT an agenda. Four more years, like the last four years, is NOT a solution.”

You see, this election, we’re not just picking the next president for four more years. WE are picking the direction and course of our country for a generation. It doesn’t matter which generation you come from – this is the most important election in YOUR generation!

Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton also popped on stage to voice strong support for Romney and Ryan. (*See press release below).

If there would have been a roof to raise, this Romney/Ryan rally would have blown it clear up to the moon shining down on them.

UPDATE - Highlights not included on above video:

Romney supporter: “I have been at Red Rocks because I’ve lived here and I have never seen a crowd like this!

Another supporter: “It’s on fire! Red Rocks is on fire because Mitt Romney is here. And, we are thrilled to be a part of it.”

A view from the top… “More people came than the amphitheater could hold. Momentum grows even more!” (Photo and comments from @dmitchell624)

#comMITTed: Colorado Newspaper Pueblo Chieftain: “It’s ROMNEY”

The editorial board at Pueblo Chieftain, a print and online news source for the southern portion of swing-state Colorado, today endorsed Mitt Romney.

Excerpts:

It’s Romney

We didn’t endorse Barack Obama’s presidential candidacy four years ago, but after he was elected we congratulated him on his victory and expressed our desire that his presidency would be successful.

But soon after his inauguration, it became clear that his talk of “post-partisanship” and governmental transparency was just that: talk.

There has to be a better way, and Mitt Romney is pointing to that way. He has outlined a pro-growth package of initiatives that can get this country humming again.

Here, in a nutshell, are the five basic elements of that package:

Cut the federal deficit by reducing federal spending below 20 percent of GDP. “You’re not going to get entrepreneurs to go out and start an enterprise . . . unless they realize we’re not headed to Greece.”

Champion small business by cutting taxes and regulations, and by overturning ObamaCare. “We need small business to grow. . . . Small businesses have been crushed these past four years.”

Then there are the looming crises of Medicare and Social Security. Even Vice President Biden admitted Thursday night they can be sustainable only into the foreseeable future.

Gov. Romney, along with vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan, has charted a course to protect current and soon-to-be retirees with full benefits, while restructuring how those two programs can be financed without breaking the budget.

In short, seniors or soon-to-be seniors can rest assured a President Romney won’t pull the rug out from beneath them.

And that’s why we urge our fellow Americans to elect Mitt Romney the 45th president of the United States of America.

Shamelessly, Obama Continues to Distort Romney’s Economic Plan

After Obama’s comatose debate performance last week, the very next day on the campaign trail, with teleprompter chugging along at full speed, wasn’t it amazing how Obama suddenly became animatedly bright-eyed and chatty? Without missing a beat or showing even a modicum of acknowledgment that he messed up royally, he continued and still continues to lie about Mitt Romney’s economic plan. Despite the fact that news outlets, and even Obama’s Deputy Campaign Manager, Stephanie Cutter, had to admit his false claim, Obama, his campaign officials, and his surrogates continue to flat-out call Romney a liar.

Following his embarrassing, cringe-worthy performance, the President’s immediate day-after-debate mocking of Governor Romney was a “na-na-na-na-na-na” display of petulant, smirky, childish egoism. (Eastwood was right about the empty chair.)

Brazen, boastful Barack…

Obama’s display reveals what a small, character-stunted man he is.

It’s astonishing to behold.

There was no lying from Romney. And, important to note, there was no post-debate gloating from Governor Romney.

New ad:

Here’s a fact Obama doesn’t want you to know: Under his economic plan, taxes will increase on the middle class by $4,000. Add this to your long list of reasons why Americans absolutely cannot afford or stand four more excruciating years of Obama’s fiascoes.

By Michael Ramirez

After nearly four deficient, failed years, Obama is blatantly showing a bit of the worst of himself in a repugnant attempt to convince Americans he now knows what’s best for our broke, broken nation.

Absolutely not.

Debate: Obama’s Big Name Donor Says ‘Looks Like He Took My Million & Spent it All on Weed’

“Uhmmm…teleprompter, PLEASE!”

Adoring, staunch Obama fan and MILLION dollar donor to his reelection fund, Bill Maher, mocked the President’s horrific Denver debate debacle on his HBO program last night:

“I’m sorry, he sucked. He looked tired. He had trouble getting his answers out. Looks like he took my million and spent it all on weed!” – Bill Maher

Maher debate night tweet:

Presidential debate Oct 3, 2012: Obama, the navel-gazer…

In spite of all the post-debate lies coming from sucker-punched Obama and cohorts that Romney lied, Governor Romney’s preparation, performance, and facts/truth sharing was outstanding. Michael Reagan said again today on FOX News, “Romney gave the best debate performance since LINCOLN.”

Here’s the truth: When Maher continues to blister Obama, you know it’s bad… really bad.

Stay on offense, Gov, and do. not. let. up.

You’ve got them running scared.

Romney / Ryan Campaign Reaches New High – 12,386 feet

Ahead of the GOP National Convention, RNC delegates and fellow Republicans, in an effort to show support for Romney/Ryan, hiked to the top of Republican Mountain in Colorado. They also carried a banner for Obama…
(Posted Aug 21, 2012, Photo – Kendal Unruh)

The Romney/Ryan campaign has reached a new high…

A great group of hiking Coloradans, including State Senator Ted Harvey, John Kidd (running for House District 1), RNC delegate Keri Brehm, and other supporters climbed magnificent Republican Mountain (yes, that’s the name) in Clear creek County to show their support for America’s Comeback Team and send a message to Obama and Biden:

Saturday’s “Republican Victory Hike 2012″ was organized by conservative activist Kendal Unruh, of Castle Rock, a seven-time national delegate to the Republican National Convention who leads mountaineering trips through the meetup group she founded, “Christian Hikers.” Unruh also organizes and leads annual high altitude humanitarian mission trips to Tibet.

Saturday’s hike to the summit of the appropriately named Republican Mountain took the group five miles and 3,506 feet of elevation gain. They carried with them Romney campaign signs and a banner that stated “O, did you get us here, too?” – a reference to President Obama’s now famous comment earlier this summer that business owners “didn’t build that” on their own.

Well done!

It’s a reminder that no matter how steep and rocky the trail may get, Romney and Ryan are going all the way to the mountain top!

Mitt Romney Coming to Denver Area on Monday – I’ll be there!

There is good news for fans of Mitt Romney in the Denver area! The Governor will be making his first visit to Colorado since announcing his candidacy on June 2nd.

After two events in Idaho, Mitt will be heading over to Brewery Bar IV, a local Mexican restaurant in Aurora, on Monday afternoon. This event is just down the road from my house so I will definitely be there! Any supporters are invited to come to this free public event — and I look forward to meeting some of you there:

  • Be there at 4:30 P.M.
  • The Brewery Bar IV is at 6482 S. Parker Rd, Aurora, CO 80016. Click here for a map.
  • I currently don’t have much more information than that, but anyone is welcome to contact me with questions at dave@mittromneycentral.com.

  • The meet and greet in Aurora is only one of four events for Governor Romney on Monday. Immediately after leaving Brewery Bar IV, Mitt will be attending a fundraiser at the home of a prominent supporter (unfortunately no, it’s not me) in Cherry Hills Village. It’s not surprising that he would visit Colorado early on in the primary season. The Denver Post wrote:

Romney proved popular in the West in the 2008 presidential primaries. He carried five Western states, including Colorado, where he beat eventual nominee John McCain 59 percent to 19 percent in Colorado’s GOP presidential caucuses while raising millions of dollars in the region.

Romney made five visits to the state during the 2008 run.

    Bronco Stadium, Boise ID

As I mentioned earlier, Mitt will begin his busy day in Idaho. First, the GOP front-runner will be attending a breakfast fundraiser at Bronco Stadium in Boise. The stadium is the home of the Boise State University football team and their infamous blue “smurf turf” field. Next on Governor Romney’s itinerary is a luncheon at the Snow Eagle Brewery in Idaho Falls. Mitt has already received the endorsements of two Idaho politicians for 2012: U.S. Senator Jim Risch and Congressman Mike Simpson.

These fundraising events, and others like it throughout his June cross-country tour, will add to Mitt’s already impressive 2nd quarter financial totals. The final numbers for this fiscal quarter will be available in July.
