Since the 1770s, Americans have given the ultimate sacrifice so that you and I will have the freedom to vote. Having the liberty to vote is a sacred privilege — one that none of us should ever take for granted. This knowledge has caused me to never miss voting in any American election.

Have you voted yet? If not, please vote this Tuesday. Please, don’t follow any of the polls, up or down, or listen to the mainstream media spin intended to discourage your voting. Don’t let any noise distract or dissuade you. Your one vote matters. Your one vote is extremely valuable to Governor Romney. You can and will make a difference with your vote. And that difference you make could be big.

Do you know a young man or young woman for whom this is their first presidential voting privilege? Please ask them to accompany you to the voting booth Tuesday to cast their ballots for Romney/Ryan.
Do you know any shut-ins that have voted their entire lives but for whatever reason have been unable to get around much, who may have determined this year that getting to the voting booth is “just too much hassle?” Please graciously ask that person to go with you Tuesday and tell them how grateful you are and Governor Romney is for their effort to make a big difference.
Do you have a brother, sister, cousin, uncle, friend, neighbor, or associate that is registered to vote but thinks their one vote makes no difference? Please speak with that person (or two) and ask them to go with you to the voting booth and maybe buy them lunch. They will never miss another election.
Do you know anybody in a nursing home that has considered voting to be a sacred privilege their entire life but who is no longer ambulatory? Why not visit that person today or tomorrow and invite them to accompany you to the voting booth after you take them out for a meal or a movie? Do you have any idea how much you will make their day, week, or year? They are from The Greatest Generation and love America beyond understanding.

We are at a crossroads in our nation, right now. This is not hyperbole. This is real. We cannot afford to let up or allow ourselves to be complacent in the least. We can begin to rest on Wednesday. Please do everything you can to find every registered voter you know that supports the Romney/Ryan vision and help motivate them to pull the lever.

Right now, at this very moment, we need to kick into after-burner mode!

Yesterday, Governor Romney said this in his speech in Wisconsin:

“I will bring real change. I know the economy and American job market will still be stagnant, but I won’t waste any time complaining about my predecessor!”

Romney’s Triple-Header Endorsements: House Spkr Boehner, WY Gov Matt Mead, PA Gov Tom Corbett

It’s a triple-header today….

House Speaker John Boehner, Wyoming Governor Matt Mead, and Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett announced today they are standing with Mitt Romney.

As Chairman of the Republican National Convention Aug. 27-30, Speaker Boehner remained neutral throughout the GOP primary. Now that Governor Romney is all-but-official to be the nominee, Boehner offered a hearty endorsement:

Saying he “will be proud to support Mitt Romney,” House Speaker John Boehner gave the former Massachusetts governor his endorsement Tuesday.

“I think Mitt Romney has a set of economic policies that can put Americans back to work and, frankly, contrast sharply with the failed economic policies of President Obama,” Boehner said. “And I will be proud to support Mitt Romney and do everything I can to help him win.”

Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) have already endorsed The Gov.

From the wonderful Equality State, where women were first granted the right to vote, comes today’s endorsement from Wyoming Governor Matt Mead:

“Very few leaders come along with the breadth of experience and knowledge of the economy as Mitt Romney,” said Governor Mead. “At this moment in our nation’s history, with economic uncertainty at home and instability abroad, we need a leader like Mitt Romney to strengthen our economy and maintain America’s place in the world. I am proud to stand with Mitt and will work my hardest to get him elected in November.”

Background On Matt Mead:

Governor Mead is the 32nd Governor of Wyoming. Mead was elected in 2010 and currently serves on the Council of Governors, which advises top federal officials on matters related to the National Guard. He also co-chairs the National Governors Association’s Special Committee on Homeland Security and Public Safety. A recent poll shows that Governor Mead has a 77% approval rating.

Prior to his election, Mead was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as U.S. Attorney for Wyoming from 2001 to 2007. Mead has worked in private practice and as a local, state and federal prosecutor. He and his wife Carol operate a farm and ranch business in southeast Wyoming.

From the Keystone State, where a Jefferson Republican victory rally in October 1802 saw Pennsylvania toasted as the keystone in the federal union, comes the enthusiastic endorsement from Governor Tom Corbett:

“Now that the long primary season has ended, it is time for Republicans to come together and unite around the one candidate who can defeat Barack Obama and institute a bold conservative vision that we need in Washington,” said Governor Tom Corbett. “That is why I am heartily endorsing Mitt Romney. Our country needs a president who will reverse President Obama’s failed policies and ensure an opportunity for all Americans to prosper. Mitt Romney will restore fiscal sanity to Washington by cutting spending, lowering taxes, and reforming entitlements.”

Background On Tom Corbett:

Tom Corbett was elected Governor of Pennsylvania in 2010. Corbett served two terms as Pennsylvania’s Attorney General. He was also the United States Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania from 1989 until 1993. Corbett and his wife Susan have two children.

Santorum still hasn’t endorsed Romney:

To crystallize the point that he isn’t going to make an endorsement in the immediate future, Santorum told his supporters that it was entirely up to them who to vote for in next week’s Pennsylvania primary. “I haven’t supported any candidate at this point,” he said.

And, Santorum sent out a mailing still ripping Romney:

The Des Moines Register reports that a week after he quit the presidential race, a fundraising letter from Rick Santorum arrived in Iowa mailboxes saying, “It truly frightens me to think what’ll happen if Mitt Romney is the nominee.”

“The blunt message quickly had Republicans here speculating: Did Santorum order up the mailer right before he suspended his campaign on April 10, so its timing was just a simple and understandable mistake? Or, did Santorum, who is still raising money and possibly not quite ready to come to grips with his loss, send this wording out deliberately?”

Meanwhile, after Newt Gingrich’s Utah ballot check bounced and he said it was “one of those goofy things” and after making news for being bitten by a penguin, I guess it was too much for Gingrich’s campaign chief, Michael Krull. He quietly departed from the campaign yesterday.

Ron Paul is still doing his thing.

Mitt Romney strongly disagrees with President Obama’s questionable campaign messaging that we Americans are ‘lazy’, have ‘lost our ambition’, and have become ‘soft’.

Workers at Colite International, an international sign-producing company in Columbia, South Carolina, heard Romney’s strong objections to Obama’s new campaign meme yesterday when he and wife, Ann, toured the facility.

Romney was introduced to employees by wife, Ann:

“We need a leader who knows how to turn things around,” she said. “Mitt’s a turnaround guy.”

It was that simple exchange, their well-worn lines about being high school sweethearts and the details about their five children and 16 grandchildren that allowed Justin Mims to see the former Massachusetts governor as more than a two-dimensional political candidate.

Mims, a junior economics major at the University of South Carolina, said Romney seems to be a family man, and he likes that.

After the introduction from his wife at Colite International, Romney jumped into all the missteps he said President Barack Obama has made. Romney said they include the $787 billion federal stimulus package, cap-and-trade legislation, new regulations on the banking and finance industry, the federal health care law and appointing pro-union “stooges” to the National Labor Relations Board.

As president, Romney said he would repeal the heath care law signed by Obama in 2010, cut the federal workforce by 10 percent through attrition, and hand over control of Medicaid to states, among other measures he said would restore America to a “job-creating machine” and cut spending.

Mims was one of several college students and new graduates who came out to support Romney. Matt Mancini, a 23-year-old new University of South Carolina graduate, said he likes that Romney comes from a business background. Romney’s plan to downsize the government is something that will bring him a lot of support in South Carolina, Mancini said.

The White House hopeful spoke for about 15 minutes and was swarmed afterward by the press and supporters. He signed signs and bumper stickers and posed for pictures before heading off to the next stop on the campaign trail.

A few highlights from Romney’s excellent speech (no teleprompter needed):

“The things we make per person in America exceeds that of any other country in the world.”

“Our problem is not that the private sector isn’t productive enough. The problem is the government sector is too heavy and too burdensome and is keeping the private sector from growing and thriving like it should.”

“President Obama doesn’t understand it is NOT government that makes America strong. It is the free people of America that provide our future and our strength.”

American workers deserve a number of rights:
1. Right to a secret ballot
2. Right to at least 30 days notice before a union election
3. Right to work in a non-union state
4. Right to know if they are members of a union, they shouldn’t have dues taken out their paycheck to go to politicians they disagree with.

Poll after poll in South Carolina reveals Romney in first or second place. A few days before his visit to Colite Intl, The Gov was in Mauldin, SC where he held a roundtable for veterans and he recently participated in the GOP debate in Spartanburg.
