Will Frankenstorm Faze Halloween? Romney/Ryan Endorsement Treats: NH, MN, OR, CA

In spite of Hurricane Sandy, dubbed ‘Frankenstorm’, on this All Hallow’s Eve most of the nation’s merry little folks in masquerade will participate in traditional Halloween activities.

Trick-or-treating is a go in storm damaged New York City; Mayor Michael Bloomberg is urging ghoulies, ghosties, and long-leggety beasties to stay away from affected areas and be cautious. According to the latest news report I heard today, Gov Chris Christie, who characterized damage in his state as “too widespread for words”, was still considering issuing an executive order to cancel Halloween in New Jersey until the situation stabilizes somewhat in his state. Given that Christie was touring storm damage this afternoon with Obama, it appears Halloween is a go in The Garden State. Various other cities affected by the super storm Sandy will postpone Halloween frolics until this coming Saturday.

UPDATE (1:21 PM PT): Governor Chris Christie has announced that New Jersey will celebrate Halloween next Monday, November 5, 2012 (election eve!).

While continuing to call upon supporters to be mindful of victims from Hurricane Sandy and to donate to the Red Cross, Governor mitt Romney and Congressman Paul Ryan are back into the ‘spirit’ of things and are campaigning. Today Governor Romney is campaigning in Florida with former FL Gov Jeb Bush and Senator Marco Rubio. Congressman Ryan is spending the day holding events in his home state, Wisconsin, and as the moon rises tonight, will be free to go trick-or-treating with his wife Janna, and three children.

Meanwhile, things that go bump in the night may be the sound of looters and spooks on the left are outrageously baring fangs over Romney’s storm relief efforts. Even though Obama told bone rattling Biden “now is not the time for politics” Joe was up to his usual hocus pocus and also hinted at a 2016 run for the White House. Yikes for America.

Obama will be back on his thorny campaign trail tomorrow, so beware!

Meanwhile, in spite of the double, double, toil, and trouble, the ENDORSEMENT cauldron continues to boil and bubble for the GOP ticket!

Mitt Romney For President

Four years ago, with little hesitation, we endorsed then-Sen. Barack Obama to become the 44th president of the United States, saying it was a time for “new leadership, a new approach to governing, a new way of conducting the people’s business.”

After several hours of spirited debate, not unlike conversations taking place in kitchens and living rooms across America, we reached a consensus that he had not. Perhaps more importantly, when we identified the key challenges facing the nation – jobs, the economy and the national debt – we concluded he was not the best candidate to meet them.

That person is former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, and we hereby endorse him to become the 45th president of the United States.

As we noted when we endorsed Romney for the GOP nomination prior to the New Hampshire primary in January, Washington is broken. In order to fix it, it will take a strong leader willing to roll up his sleeves and work directly with the heads of both parties to carve out the best possible solutions.

We believe Romney has demonstrated that he can do that; the president has had four years to demonstrate that he can’t.

True leaders also don’t wait until two weeks before Election Day – in the form of a 20-page booklet, no less – to lay out a specific agenda for the next four years. Coupled with the negative tenor of the campaign, that merely confirms the president and his strategists felt that attacking Romney’s agenda was more politically expedient than releasing one of their own.

Nevertheless, we are confident Romney is the candidate who would tackle the serious issues facing this nation, starting with jobs, the economy and the debt. In the end, we couldn’t say the same about the president.

Speaking of hobgoblins, David Axelrod, senior strategist for Obama’s reelection campaign, today declared he would “shave my mustache if Obama loses Minnesota.” Come on! Let’s make Axelfraud break out his razor! While traditionally a ‘blue-wall’, the race is tightening enough that Romney is now buying ad time in The North Star State. Check out the endorsement below:

Romney vote is right for president

[T]he president’s first term has not been full of successes.

He moved on health care reform, pushing through legislation without bipartisan support, resulting in a legislative backlash which gridlocked Congress.

This administration has been unsuccessful in reducing the unemployment rate in the United States, with 43 long months with the rate above 8 percent.

Economic growth has remained stagnant through most of his first term. The three-year recovery has been very slow, poverty is up, family incomes are down and housing has been in a slump.

The scary issue facing America this Halloween is a looming fiscal crisis. There is the gigantic budget deficit $5 trillion deeper than when Obama took office. And a looming fiscal cliff deadline at the end of year, when automatic cuts of $100 billion from federal budgets and tax increases of $400 billion, happen unless Congress and the administration make a deal.

For various reasons, Obama has not been a uniting force and has not found a way to work with his Republican opposition.

Four years ago a nation tired of two wars, high deficit spending and an unfolding economic crisis sought a change. The country’s voters chose a young senator from Illinois to lead us forward.

There has been fair criticism of the Republican leaders of Congress who vowed to obstruct the president in the last two years, just as Obama had a Democratic control and didn’t work with Republicans in the first two years of his administration.

And both political parties are to blame for not having the political fortitude to deal with America’s growing fiscal crisis.

On Nov. 6, west central Minnesota voters face a choice for president. We all agree that Washington is broken and not functioning, much like a baseball team that is not winning. There is a time when a change is needed and a new manager is brought in to get the team refocused.

Republican Mitt Romney is seeking to bring that change to Washington. He is promising a new brand of leadership, an economic focus to create jobs and fiscal prudence to work on the budget deficit.

Romney has demonstrated his leadership in private business, in state government and in the 2002 Olympics.

He is a successful businessman, who earned his wealth through investment and decision-making strategies. He has spent the majority of his life in private business and said he knows how to grow jobs.

In 1999, Romney was brought in to resolve the scandalous crisis at the Salt Lake City Olympics. He addressed the situation, calmed sponsors, developed new leadership, controlled spending and staged an excellent Winter Olympics.

In 2002, he was elected governor of Massachusetts and faced an overwhelmingly Democratic legislature. He worked with that Legislature to control spending, restructure state government and eliminated a $3 billion state government deficit.

America needs a change in leadership to refocus the country and its economy toward a strong and vibrant country. This country cannot afford to slip back into another recession so soon.

We believe Romney is the right choice for president on Nov. 6.

Artist Jon McNaughton’s Painting: ‘Obamanation’, 60 Symbols of Failure

‘Obamanation’ – By artist Jon McNaughton

Artist Jon McNaughton, who made a name for himself in the world of politics a couple of years ago when he finished painting The Forgotten Man, is debuting a new piece titled Obamanation.

In the following video, McNaughton explains his latest interactive painting which includes 60 symbols that capture the “Obamanation” of the Barack Obama Presidency:

McNaughton:

I am just one person, a citizen of this country using my first amendment rights to speak out through my art. This is my declaration that we have never had a president do more to harm our country than Barack Obama.

When I started I wondered if I could put everything he’s done into a single painting. I included over 60 symbols that represent his failures as our President far more than I originally anticipated. All of these symbols are based on fact and linked on my website to credible new sources. To those who would scoff or trivialize this painting, I challenge you to go to my website and study the interactive map and read the sources. No American can analyze these symbols and learn about these facts and in good conscious vote for Barack Obama in 2012. Some people may say this painting is controversial and disturbing but it’s worth it if it will wake up even a single American – because this painting is a representation of Obama’s presidency.

View interactive Obamanation here. (Scroll over images and click to learn more; see right-hand column.) Lithographs are available.

By the way, have you seen the movie 2016: Obama’s America?

Obama Gives Pinocchio A Bad Name: Open Book? Transparency? Felon?

Obama gives Pinocchio a bad name…

Cartoon by Michael Ramirez

Get a load of this guy…

Obama says a candidate for the White House must be an open book… What a hypocrite!

July 10, 2012:

Notice O’Storyteller didn’t answer the question? How about how easily Obama lies?

His operatives are parroting the lie that Governor Romney is the most secretive guy since Nixon. We know what’s going on here… Tack a label on the opposition describing what YOUR guy is/has been in order to deflect and deceive. In psychological terms it’s called projection; it’s when one projects their problems onto other people:

It is “the operation of expelling feelings or wishes the individual finds wholly unacceptable – too shameful, too obscene, too dangerous – by attributing them to another”.

Obama has been anything but an open book and he’s the real outsourcer. He and his Scheme Team are hell-bent to project those negatives onto Governor Romney. When he ran for President, the main stream media conveniently lost their collective vetting magnifying glass. (Oh, but Romney’s days as a teenager? Pull out the microscope and publish page after page!)

Figuring out the real Obama is a puzzle which has occupied many *heroic modern-day Sherlocks.

More projection? Bill-Ayers-Tony-Rezko-Frank-Marshall-Davis-Obama implies Romney could be a felon? *Take a look at this clip regarding Obama and Davis from the new movie 2016: Obama’s America which will be shown in theaters beginning July 27th (begins @:15):

Regarding the continuing “felon” falsehoods blurting out of Obama talking heads, CNN’s John King spoke last week with four Bain Capital employees; three are Democrats, two are active Obama supporters. They confirm Romney’s truth – that he left Bain in February 1999 and had nothing to do with the company:

CNN Report Debunks Latest False Attack From Obama Campaign

Last week, CNN’s Anderson cooper, John King, and David Gergen reported on Team Obama’s despicable and desperate behavior on Romney/Bain and possibly being a felon. Even Obama-cheerleader David Gergen frustratingly concluded: “The Obama campaign is now playing a very rough form of politics and is that really what we were promised?” Rarely does one see such concern on Gergen’s face for Obama…

July 12, 2012 (begins @2:30, ends @8:44):

Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey sums it up:

“Put it simply: Team Obama is lying, and it continues to lie about Romney. They are desperate to find a way to make Romney’s time at Bain work in their favor, and that desperation has nearly reached pathological levels. Still, for Obama, it beats talking about the economy, jobs, the deficit, and anything else that actually matters to voters.”

Obama in the Shadows

NOTE: The opinions expressed herein are those of the author, and he alone, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Mitt Romney Central. More detail is available in the author’s latest book, On The Brink, America’s Choice 2012.

Much has been written, not about Barack Obama per se, but about the absence of his past. In fact, it has become standard fodder among the conservative media to discuss the lack of history and vetting Obama has received from the mainstream media (“MSM”). The MSM love affair in this regard is obvious – some have even had chills up their legs. Comparatively, conservative candidates have been grilled and vetted in a very granular way. Effectively, the mainstream media has turned a blind eye when it comes to Obama and when others attempt inquiry they are labeled inappropriately. How dare they question! Bearing that in mind, Sean Hannity has made it a point in this current election cycle to change the paradigm and expose “Obama in the shadows,” or the undisclosed history of Barack Obama. Sean makes it a point each evening on his Fox show, Hannity, to share with the public what hasn’t been written or known, in an effort to draw a distinction between the candidates.

Notwithstanding, there are other conservative educators, bloggers, pundits and journalists who have attempted to peel away the layers of the onion by making inference about Obama’s past; typically any such disclosures have remained the domain of the conservative media without reference in the mainstream media. Thankfully, we are not so dependent on the MSM as in the past. Within this context Dinesh D’Souza has shaped an argument about Obama in his New York Times bestselling book, The Roots of Obama’s Rage. A dear friend and Oscar winning producer, Jerry Molen, has further illustrated D’Souza’s book in a film to be released this summer, “2016”.

In Dinesh’s book and Jerry’s film, they both reference how unknown Barack Obama is and how he still remains a mystery, even after three years as our President. As stated, little has been written or known about Barack Obama. In the book and film, each seeks to expose Obama’s compass and ideology. They don’t attempt to label Obama with the names that others have applied, but hope to reveal the foundations that have shaped Obama’s beliefs, who he is, what he stands for, what he believes and why, and what he hopes to achieve in his deconstruction of America. They are deliberate in illustrating what America may look like in 2016 if Obama is re-elected and free to act without accountability. (Dinesh begins speaking at the 1.53 minute mark below)
.

Paul Gregory has made further inference in two Forbes articles in January (here) and most recently in May (here). In each he attempts to challenge Obama’s ideology and see how it aligns, or not, with like-minded individuals and organizations in Europe. Gregory doesn’t necessarily challenge the propriety of inquiry into Obama’s associations with Bill Ayers, Reverend Wright and others. He does however, go deeper into the question of Obama’s ideology with a methodical comparative and alignment with political parties of, and advocates in Europe. Specifically, he makes a comparative between Obama’s agenda and that of the Party of European Socialists (“PES”). He also looks to the platform of recently elected Francois Hollande, clearly a “European Socialist”. It is fascinating how aligned they are, and even mirror each other.

According to Gregory, Obama has given us a few fleeting glimpses, such as his complaint about the Constitution’s “negative rights and his off-the-cuff “spread the wealth around” remark. His most recent and significant slip was to tell Occupy Wall Street protesters: “You are the reason I ran for office.” Gregory then offers an interesting comparative (see below).

PES: The welfare state and state-provided universal access to education and health care are society’s great achievements.
Obama: Favors universal access to health care and associated benefits as a critical expansion of the welfare state.
PES: Collective responsibility makes society stronger when people work together, and all people are enabled to live a dignified life, free of poverty and protected from social risks in life.
Obama: Favors collective responsibility (as defined by the federal government) to protect all from social risks through food stamps, welfare programs, extended unemployment benefits, guaranteed health care, the bailing out of big companies, forcing renegotiation of mortgages, class action law suits, and other measures. (Instead of opportunity and incentive to succeed, no one is allowed to fail).
PES: The state must insure that economic growth is environmentally “sustainable.”
Obama: Favors carbon taxes, higher energy prices, restricted drilling and refining, and subsidies of green technology for the “common good,” even at the expenses of higher conventional growth and jobs.
PES: If unfettered by state control, market forces, driven by and greed and shift power to the privileged few, deepen economic, geographic and social inequalities, and create economic crises.
Obama: Shows a distrust of market forces and advocates selective regulation, subsidies, and taxation to persuade or coerce business to promote the general welfare as he defines it. Industries not part of his collective endeavor (oil and gas and coal) are penalized. Industries that serve his conception of “general welfare” (green technology) are to be promoted even if the market rejects them.
PES: Ensuring long lasting prosperity, stability and above all, peace requires effective coordination in the international realm based on democracy, mutual respect, and human rights.
Obama: Places reliance on international institutions, international consensus, and mutual respect in the conduct of foreign policy. (The United States must coordinate its foreign policy with international organizations and treat even rogue nations with respect in the hope that they will voluntarily improve their behavior).
PES: A strong state must preserve the public good, guarantee the common interest, promote justice and solidarity and allow people to lead lives rich beyond material wealth, so that each individual’s fulfillment is also part of a collective endeavor.
Obama: Advocates a strong state that offers the “positive right” of political and economic justice to its citizens. He complains that the U.S. Constitution is a “charter of negative liberties,” that dictates what government “can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf.”

If there is validity to Gregory’s argument, (more…)

Mitt Romney man with a plan

Mitt Romney: the man with the character, skills, experience, endurance, and the team required to be our nominee.

Having organized, managed and executed a dynamically successful Primary Campaign strategy, Governor Romney is well poised for the General Election Cycle.

The Romney Campaign has overcome and endured a nearly insurmountable campaign season. Although not flawless, and in spite of continual MLM protestations, the Romney Campaign has been one of the best run Republican Primary Campaigns in modern history. To paraphrase Stuart Stevens, Senior Advisor to the Campaign, any credit to the eventual success of the campaign goes to the candidate, Governor Romney – they don’t get any better than Mitt Romney…and this from a well respected and seasoned veteran of political campaigns. Further, to each who stands, or has stood, with Mitt Romney, they are to a one unified in their admiration, attribution and respect, that he like none other is the real deal with all of the needed character traits, skillsets and experience to lead our nation at one of its most defining moments.

Consider the points;

1 – In a Primary campaign, Governor Romney has been continuously and singularly challenged by the Obama Media Machine (OMM – Main Stream Media), the Democratic National Committee, the Obama Campaign, and an abundance of candidates and/or promoted possible candidates (Mitch Daniels, Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, Paul Ryan, Donald Trump, Michelle Bachmann, Tim Pawlenty, Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Ron Paul), each of whom have at one point or another led national polls for the Republican nomination. Amidst it all, Mitt Romney has withstood the onslaught, and stands today as a respected and principled leader without equivocation.

2 – Governor Romney and his core team have built and managed a national campaign organization like none other. This is a campaign that can not only compete, but compete with depth in every contest across the nation and territories of the United States. Such is what is needed to endure what is likely to be the most aggressive and expensive general campaign in modern history.

3 – Governor Romney has built one of the broadest based and well-resourced fundraising campaigns in Republican Party history. With contributions in excess of $80 million thus far (limited by a $2,500 maximum), the Romney Campaign has no equal in the Party. Governor Romney has attracted a large base of donors less than $200 per person while also appealing to a large base of maximum donors. This proven ability to raise needed campaign funds for the Primary cycle has positioned the campaign for the demands of fundraising parity with the most prolific of fundraisers, Barack Obama.

4 – The Candidate – as stated by Stuart Stevens, there isn’t any better than Mitt Romney. A man whose life is a reflection of integrity, character, principled leadership and capacity, thus enabling his ability and offered availability to lead, even inspire our Nation in our defining moment! We are suffering from a void of experienced and principled leadership – Mitt Romney fills the void as few can.

Thank you Mitt and Ann Romney!

And so, it begins – the comparative of Romney and Obama. Hugh Hewitt clearly defines the contest here. That said, to make an effective comparative we need to know more of Barack Obama. A dear friend and highly regarded Hollywood Producer, Jerry Molen is introduced by Breitbart in a recent post. Jerry is producing a film titled “2016″ based upon the book by Dinesh D’Souza, “The Roots of Obama’s Rage”, to further inform the American electorate (see below). The film is slated for release in the midst of the Presidential campaign, the summer of 2012. Future posts will be more deliberative in their comparatives of Barack Obama and his failed policies.
