Here are the remarks as I was reading them via the teleprompter control screen during Mitt’s speech.
It was very interesting to see how many times Mitt added parts to the speech that were not on the prompter and also how many times he simply changed the wording on the fly. I’d love to get a chance sometime to see if President Obama does the same thing or if he stays 100% true to the prompter.
Mitt Romney today announced the support of former Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
“I’m very proud to earn the support of such a distinguished leader and public servant to our country,” said Mitt Romney. “Rudy’s successes in turning around New York City are well-known and his name is synonymous with leadership, uniting a city in the aftermath of the worst terrorist attack in our nation’s history. I look forward to his help in the months ahead as I work to restore America’s promise and reverse President Obama’s failed policies.”
“When I look at where we are as a nation and the challenges we face, I am convinced that Mitt Romney will provide a clear contrast to President Obama,” said Rudy Giuliani. “Whether it was creating jobs in business, rescuing the Olympics, or turning around Massachusetts’ $3 billion budget deficit, he has proved, time and again, that he excels at turning around difficult situations. He has also proposed a bold economic plan that will help families that have been crushed by President Obama’s failed policies. With his plan to create more jobs, reduce our debt, and scale back the size of government, America will be back on the road to prosperity. I’m proud to support Mitt Romney and encourage all those who worry about our country’s future to do the same.”
Here is video of Giuliani’s endorsement on FOX News this morning:
In my latest interview with former Governor Mitt Romney, he emphatically defends his own business success against Obama’s class warfare/Buffett Rule/Romney Rule attacks. Don’t look for Mitt to back off from his free enterprise vision.

Invisible Children is an amazing organization that many of you may not have heard of until last week when the following video became the fastest spreading viral video in internet history.
What you may not know is that I’m a member of Invisible Children, and I was a volunteer leader of the event they called the Rescue in 2009 which culminated in Chicago outside Harpo studios.
I could go on and on about that week and how awesome it was, but I’ll just summarize the week quickly. The Rescue was an attempt by Invisible Children to raise awareness of the atrocities committed by Joseph Kony against the people of central Africa. 100 cities around the world participated, and each city was provided a list of important people from their respective city that could “rescue” them. The project will illustrate with ads and speeches “how Barack Obama’s policies have hurt the middle class, given more and more people concerns about their jobs and prices, and put downward pressure on households.” Added the insider, “what Obama has done so far hasn’t worked and, when needed, he didn’t lead.”
The campaign will offer Romney’s alternative story-line: that he is a business and political leader who has a plan to fix the economy and bring back jobs.
Mitt Romney made the following statement on the Senate vote to block the Keystone XL pipeline:
President Obama has once again blocked the Keystone XL pipeline today. He personally lobbied Senate Democrats to vote against the project, asking them to eliminate jobs and reroute desperately needed Canadian oil away from the United States and toward China. This decision makes a mockery of his so-called ‘all-of-the-above’ energy strategy and is the latest reminder that he has taken unprecedented steps to stifle energy production and drive up energy prices in this country, all while wasting billions of dollars on failed green projects. His political strategists may think that he can continue saying one thing about energy while doing exactly the opposite, but I will spend this campaign reminding the American people of his actual record and proposing policies that will guarantee our economy the reliable, affordable supply of energy we need.
