Election Day! Obama’s Revenge or Romney’s American Restoration?

It’s ELECTION DAY 2012!

For Romney supporters, this day has been long in coming… and we’re thrilled it’s here!

From sea to shining sea, for many, many freedom lovers, it’s going to be a nail-biting, nerve-wracking, back-breaking, whistle-while-we’re-working, NEW FUTURE-making day.

Let the contest begin!

David Limbaugh asks:

Do You Want Revenge Against America or Loving Restoration?

Mitt Romney was very wise to pivot on Barack Obama’s impromptu statement that “voting is the best revenge” and frame the campaign in the final days as a choice between that negative message and Romney’s “love of country.”

I wouldn’t say that if I thought Obama’s statement was merely a slip of the tongue. Rather, I believe that in another unscripted moment, he once again revealed who he really is and the essence of his mindset.

When his soul mate and spouse said that her husband’s ascendancy was the first time she’d been proud of America in her adult life, she wasn’t just throwing out words. She was telling us who she is and what kind of hang-ups she has about pre-Obama America.

At the time she made the statement, she was on the stump representing her husband and speaking for him. They are of one mind on this point.

Without revisiting all the evidence pointing to Obama’s grudge against pre-Obama America, we only need remind ourselves of his pre-election comment that we were “five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

That was a chilling statement and unmistakable in its meaning. Obama didn’t like the America that currently existed, and he had ambitions not just to tweak it or implement a few salutary reforms but to fundamentally change it. He wasn’t just talking about getting the economy growing again after the financial meltdown. He was determined to implement structural changes across the board to exact “economic justice” and “social justice” — a pair of familiar lyrics from every leftist radical’s hymnal.

Before Obama was elected, he barked bi-partisanship. Post-election, with a majority in the House and Senate, he rebuffed Republicans – bribing, brow-beating, and twisting many congressional arms to foist his pet projects on ear-splitting objecting Americans. After 2010 midterm elections, when Republicans took the majority of House seats, Obama failed to reach out, failed to lead, then falsely brayed about GOP obstructionism:

In office, Obama has also betrayed his grudge-oriented mindset. He never really sought true bipartisanship. From day one, it was his way or the highway. Nowhere was this more striking than his dictatorial approach to Obamacare, which he willingly crammed down the throats of a dissenting American public. He was not a man who was leading America toward positive change but one who was forcibly imposing his radical will on America and completely unwilling to budge when challenged. “I’m the president.”

Let’s also not forget that during his first two years in office at least, Obama did get his way legislatively. He passed his enormously wasteful stimulus bill, the Dodd-Frank financial reform fiasco and Obamacare, and he pushed through all kinds of green energy projects, attacked and greatly damaged the oil, coal and natural gas industries, expanded dependency programs, stoked racial and class resentments, downscaled our military forces, and otherwise spent federal dollars as if he were determined to bankrupt the United States.

Obama’s failures have caused deep suffering for many Americans:

After all of this, he has nothing positive to show in his record. The economy is still in shambles with no end in sight. Yet he has given us no specifics of what he’d do in a second term except more of the same. In his words, “let’s not turn back now.” Really? Not turn back from policies that are destroying our economy and bankrupting us?

Economic results are not what he’s after, folks. He wants revenge — against an America he believes has been unfair and sinful in the past, a nation that has consumed too much of the world’s resources and been an international bully. And he’s now outright admitted he wants his voters to help him get that revenge.

It’s a relief to be at this place, right here, right now. Today we’ll exercise the right to vote this manipulative, negative, inept, crony cash-slipping, grease-palming, arm-twisting, redistributing, money-wasting, lead-from-behind shyster out of the White House.

We’ll be exercising our right to vote in the capable, confidence-inspiring man many of us have worked for years to put in the Oval Office. David Limbaugh describes him:

Mitt Romney, on the other hand, is bullish on America. He’s proud of its founding and its founding principles. He loves and embraces its free market tradition. He is confident in the private sector and believes that the road to economic recovery lies in unleashing the private sector from the oppressive boot of the federal government. He wants America to be strong again.

There is no question which of the two candidates presented the more convincing final argument. Romney is offering a positive future; Obama is assuring us continued failure. Vote — and pray.

Love of country and desperately needed restoration.

Barack Obama Let America Down

In 2008, American optimism prevailed and the nation elected Barack Obama its first black president. He was an understandable choice: He was a likeable man with a golden gift for spellbinding speeches that overrode his thin resume. He promised hope and change and created a vision of national unity, an end to venomous partisan politics and a beautiful new post-racial era. He vowed fundamental transformation of America as if that was a good thing. Events of the last four years have burst that pretty bubble.

It turns out, his notion of fundamental transformation was based on a malicious view that America should be cut down to size and put into just another ordinary seat at the table of nations. A view that successful people who worked hard and grew wealthy somehow got it undeservedly at the expense of other people, and so his government should step in and take from the haves and give to those who didn’t work for it. Spread the wealth around, rather than foster the American Dream of a country where anyone is free to use their talents, work hard and make a good living.

In domestic and foreign affairs, over the last four years, Obama has failed as president. He offers only more of the same if given a second term. It is vital to the nation’s well-being that he not be returned to the White House.

Obama’s record as president demonstrates that, despite his charm and glowing words, he can only lead America to mediocrity, a lowered standard of living, and ultimately, the death of the American Dream and the rise of the corrupt welfare state where everyone is equally bad off, except for the political leaders and their pals who live high on the hog.

Today’s $16 trillion national debt is the size of the nation’s total annual economic output. That’s like owing Master Card your whole year’s wages, and still buying more on credit every day. Printing more money out of thin air to keep pace with the spending will eventually make our dollars worth less, if not worthless, and it’s our children and grandchildren who will suffer the consequences with a diminished way of life.

Obamacare has made employers afraid to add workers, and it’s cost estimates keep rising even as it is estimated to fall millions of people short of its goal of health insurance for all. It adds millions of new patients but has many doctors saying they may quit because of the intrusive bureaucracy and payment limits. Having Obamacare is no guarantee you will be seen by your doctor, or any doctor, in a timely manner. Older and sicker Americans will face rationing of care and could be denied treatments now available.

In many ways, Barack Obama has let America down, and it’s time to let him go. On Tuesday, vote for a strong and healthy America. Elect Mitt Romney president.

Come through for us, Ohio. We’re counting on you to give Mitt and Paul a WIN tomorrow!

Help here.

Not Enough Hope, Too Little Change: Wisconsin State Journal Backing Romney

Did you notice Mitt Romney has snagged another important swing-state endorsement?

It’s a Wisconsin WOWSER!

The Wisconsin State Journal backed Obama in 2008, but they’re now two thumbs-up for Mitt Romney:

Wisconsin State Journal
Editorial

Our Pick: Mitt Romney

Not enough hope and too little change.

That is President Barack Obama’s record on the economy, debt and Washington gridlock after four years in the White House.

The State Journal editorial board endorses Mitt Romney in Tuesday’s presidential election.

Romney showed as the Republican governor of Democratic-leaning Massachusetts that he can find agreement across the partisan divide. And his vice presidential pick — Wisconsin’s U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Janesville — suggests Romney is serious about tackling America’s fiscal mess.

Romney has an impressive record of success in the private and public sectors. He’s a numbers guy who focuses more on results than ideology. That’s why so many of his fellow Republicans during the GOP primary criticized him for not being conservative enough.

Romney has been a strong leader in business and civic life. This includes turning around many troubled companies and the 2002 Winter Olympics.

Romney better understands how and why entrepreneurs and employers decide to expand and add jobs. He’s more likely to get the private-sector going strong again.

We endorsed Obama for change last time around. Now we’re endorsing change again: Mitt Romney.

WaPo adds:

“The State Journal is based in Madison, a very liberal city where few voters are likely to be persuaded to back a Republican. But the state’s largest paper, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, is no longer endorsing presidential candidates, giving this move more weight.”

“Imagine what Barack can do in four more years!” Mrs. Obama Helping to Elect Romney?

Is Michelle Obama thinking about more vacations she can take if her husband gets four more years? (photographer unknown)

Well… How’s this for motivation to GET OUT THE VOTE for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan?

Michelle Obama asked twitter users yesterday: “Imagine what Barack can do in four more years!”

I’ve been with Mitt Romney Central since its inception and I’ve never written an article about Michelle Obama. I didn’t write about the time Michelle said “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country.” I didn’t utter a peep about the time when Michelle, confiding to then-First Lady of France, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, on her own job as First Lady, supposedly said “It’s hell. I can’t stand it!” (Both later denied it.) Nothing from me regarding our First Lady’s aversion to placing her hand over heart when our national anthem is played. I’ve never pointed out the way the press hits Ann Romney for her clothing choices, but gives Michelle a pretty pass and plenty of praise. No keyboard clacking from me about the time Mrs. Obama went to a food bank wearing $540 sneakers. I didn’t mention the time Mrs. Obama inferred that a vote for Mitt Romney would cause women to die from cancer. I haven’t written about the way Michelle’s ‘Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act’ forces some school kids to go hungry. And, I didn’t post an article about Mrs. O’s speech at the Democratic National Convention in September – the fairytale she presented of her and Barack’s struggles.

Today, the First Lady’s tweet changed my mind.

Imagine what Barack can do in four more years?

Uh, Michelle, you’re killin’ me.

Maybe you’re thinking about what YOU can do with four more years.

Besides all the pricey trips to Martha’s Vineyard, Aspen, and Hawaii, remember in the summer of 2010 when the Obamas encouraged Americans to visit the oil-stricken Gulf Coast and then high-tailed it, lickety-split, for a family vacation in Maine? Remember how shortly after returning from Maine, Michelle Obama then jetted off for a private, closed-to-the-press, luxurious vacation in Spain? (To jog your memory, that was the time she took her youngest daughter and an entourage of long-time family friends and lounged at the ritzy Costa del Sol hotel.) Remember when she and her girls took off for a family vacation and within an hour, her husband followed. She wouldn’t wait for him so we got to pay for two jets!

Here’s the Obama three-and-a-half-years vacation list:

– President’s Day 2012, Michelle and the first daughters in Aspen, Colorado to ski.
– Christmas 2011, the first family in Hawaii for an extended vacation.
– Summer 2011, in Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., for the annual beach break.
– June 2011, the first lady, her mother and daughters traveled to South Africa and Botswana.
– President’s Day 2011, the first lady and first daughters travel to Vail to ski.
– Christmas 2010, in Hawaii.
– August 2010, the first family traveled to Panama City Beach, Fla., for sun and fun at the beach.
– August 2010, Obama spent the weekend alone in Chicago for his 49th birthday bash.
– August 2010, the first lady and daughter Sasha traveled to Spain for a mother-daughter vacation.
– August 2010, summer vacation again at Martha’s Vineyard.
– July 2010, the first family went to Mount Desert Island, Maine.
– May 2010, the first family had a four-day trip to Chicago.
– March 2010, first lady and daughter spend Spring Break in New York City.
– Christmas 2009, Hawaii again for the annual break.
– August 2009, at Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Canyon for a short vacation.
– August 2009, their first summer vacation as first family at Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.

Video montage of Mrs. Obama’s jolly jaunts at taxpayer expense:

Yeah, Michelle may have more chi-chi-foo-foo-taxpayer-footing-the-bill vacations on her bucket list.

It was a travesty the way the mainstream media made a big stink about the Romneys this past 4th of July for sharing their own paid-for jet ski with family and friends – at their home on Lake Winnipesaukee. Meanwhile, they’ve overlooked Michelle Obama’s love for lap-of-luxury vacations (which comes out of our penny-jingling pockets).

  • Speaking of expensive jaunts, here’s another point… There’s a stark contrast in how the Obama campaign pays its bills and how responsible and frugal Mitt Romney is – even down to the hotel accommodations he chooses. DO read more here.

  • Imagine what Barack can do in four more years? He’ll finish destroying the USA.

Here’s what a few other Americans think:

    (Hat tip / Twitchy)

  • What are Michelle Obama and her husband so proud of?

Their hubris over such a failed record makes one’s eyes bug out and shoot blood! I will not use my last-full-day-of-Romney-campaign energy to go into the havoc and destruction Mr. O has brought upon us. Here’s my summary:

    PENNSYLVANIA!

The state has suddenly emerged as up-for-grabs and Governor Mitt Romney was there.

Tonight, in the cold and growing darkness, a behemoth crowd in Morrisville, PA, estimated between 20,000 – 30,000 waited for the chance to see Romney. In spite of the chilly air, the Governor and his wife, Ann, were greeted with lots of flag-waving, roaring enthusiasm, and fired-up energy. It was amazing!

    Romney Can Right Listing Ship

We urge our readers to cast their vote for Mitt Romney to be the next president of the United States.

We did not endorse then-junior Sen. Barack Obama four years ago as we felt he was unprepared and lacked the leadership and real-world skill sets vital for holding the most important office in the world.

    Our fears were correct.

Obama fell way short on his promise of hope and change. He learned the hard way, at America’s expense, that clever slogans and catchy phrases are no substitute for strategic plans that include party(s) buy-in, well-thought-out details, structure and accountability.

Indeed, America stands at critical crossroads for her future on Tuesday.

Mitt Romney is a former governor, a proven leader, with a successful record both in governing and in business. He understands the importance of free enterprise. He comprehends with perfect clarity that small businesses and entrepreneurs – not the government – are the drivers of a strong economy.

Romney believes a robust economy is the key to alleviating poverty and helping people become more self-reliant.

During this campaign, Romney laid out detailed plans for economic recovery, job growth and reducing the public debt, concepts painfully absent from Obama’s campaign.

Romney promises to unleash America’s energy resources like never before, ushering in a new era of energy independence. And our region will benefit greatly from that goal. Romney will halt Obama’s premeditated efforts to crush one of our area’s most precious job creators – the coal industry.

America yearns for a president who will unite us – not divide us.

One with vision, who will inspire, uplift and motivate.

America wants a president who will promote our national values abroad and not apologize for them – a leader who will hold up this great nation as the beacon of freedom that she remains.

Gov. Romney is that leader, and we urge our readers to cast their vote for a stronger America, by electing Mitt Romney as the next president of the United States.

Talk about exciting! If you live in Pennsylvania, click here to help. Anyone can help by making calls from home, too.

    Our Choice For America’s Future

America’s heart, soul, brains and muscle — the middle- and working-class people who make this nation great — have been beset for too long by sapping economic decline.

Paychecks are shrunken after more than a decade in which the workplace has asked more of wage earners and rewarded them less. The decline has knocked someone at the midpoint of the salary scale back to where he or she would have been in 1996.

Then, the subway fare, still paid by token, was $1.50, gasoline was $1.23 a gallon and the median rent for a stabilized apartment was $600 a month. Today, the base MetroCard subway fare is $2.25, gasoline is in the $3.90 range and the median stabilized rent is $1,050, with all the increases outpacing wage growth.

Our leaders owed us better than lower standards of living, and we must have better if the U.S. is to remain a beacon of prosperity where mothers and fathers can be confident of providing for their children and seeing them climb higher on the ladder.

Revival of the U.S. as a land of opportunity and upward mobility is the central challenge facing the next President. The question for Americans: Who is more likely to accomplish the mission — Barack Obama or Mitt Romney?

Four years ago, the Daily News endorsed Obama, seeing a historic figure whose intelligence, political skills and empathy with common folk positioned him to build on the small practical experience he would bring to the world’s toughest job. We valued Obama’s pledge to govern with bold pragmatism and bipartisanship.

The hopes of those days went unfulfilled.

The official unemployment rate stands at 7.9%, marking only the second month below 8% after 43 months above that level. Worse, add people who are working part-time because they have no better choice and the rate leaps to almost 15%. Still worse, add 8 million people who have given up looking for employment and the number who are out of jobs or who are cobbling together hours to scrape by hits some 23 million people.

The regrettable truth is that Obama built a record of miscalculations and missed opportunities.

R.I.P. and never to be resurrected — Obama’s promised bipartisanship.

But those pluses and minuses pale in comparison with middle-class prospects in recommending whether to entrust Obama or Romney with the future.

    Romney’s approach is the stronger.

Critically, he has tailored his policies to create jobs, jobs, jobs.

The centerpieces of Romney’s plan call for spending restraint and rewriting the Internal Revenue code to lower rates by 20%. He would make up much of the lost revenue by eliminating deductions and loopholes that have made the tax system a thicket of strangling complexities. On its own, paring the personal and corporate rules to the basics would catalyze business and consumer spending.

Romney has pledged that, as a group, the wealthy will bear no less a share of the burden than they do now, while individuals lower down would enjoy breaks. Many contest as mathematically impossible the Republican’s ability to cut rates and balance the books through tax reform. He disputes the points but, in an encouraging show of pragmatism, he has made clear that moving the nation toward balance may require sacrificing the size of his rate cut.

Romney’s energy plan calls for reemphasizing oil and natural gas production, in a shift away from Obama’s tilt toward trying to develop wind and solar into workable alternatives.

His proposal for Medicare would permit future retirees to choose between tried-and-true health care and private insurance to produce savings through competition. It took political bravery even to broach such concepts, and they are well worth exploring.

Offering a rosy vision of a country already on the rise, Obama argues that he would lead a resurgence by staying the course. He posits that spending in areas such as education and clean energy would be beneficial, and he sees raising taxes on high-income earners as key to “balanced” deficit reduction. Each on its own is attractive, but the whole comes up short.

The presidential imperative of the times is to energize the economy and get deficits under control to empower the working and middle classes to again enjoy the fruits of an ascendant America.

So The News is compelled to stand with Romney.

Take a moment to read the following IMPORTANT article from Matthew D. Carling, Esq. He lays out the case for thoughtfully considering the repercussions of your voting choices. For years to come, America’s course will be determined through coming Supreme Court appointees.

    Carling’s background:

Matthew D. Carling is an attorney specializing in appellate law in the states of Utah and Nevada. He has previously been a prosecutor for the District Attorney’s Office of Lincoln County, Nevada, has served as a defense attorney, and also as Judge Pro Tempore for the North Las Vegas Municipal Courts. The Purist Vote: How Obama’s Foes Might Extend His Legacy for Decades
    November 1, 2012
    By Matthew D. Carling, Esq.

(or) The Purist Vote: American Conservatives Playing Russian Roulette

Every four years, American voters eagerly line up to choose their favorite candidate for President. We brim with hope for a leader who sees the world like we do—someone a lot like us. But once our ideal contender is eliminated from the field, disappointment often turns to disgust. Voters by the thousands remove themselves from the political battlefield and refuse to participate further. It’s either my nominee or nothing.

Consoled in the belief that one vote won’t matter, the disenfranchised gently beguile themselves into apathy. Surely four more years of any single administration cannot possibly unravel the rich heritage of our nation. Others withdraw out of a need to take a moral stand, indignant over the flaws they would otherwise feel they are endorsing with their vote. Some even choose strategic revenge, hoping to punish less-pure conservatives with four more years under a stanch liberal president — a small price to pay if the lesson finally awakens such “useful idiots” from their folly. After all, how much damage can one president leave that can’t be undone by his successor?

These might be valid points except for one detail. A president’s most lasting legacy is not usually the bills he signs into law, his executive orders or even the wars over which he presides. It is his unique role in shaping the entire third branch of government, the Supreme Court, which has power to overrule the others. Indeed, his nominations to the bench can alter our society for generations.

Consider George W. Bush. With the retirement of Justice O’Connor and the passing of Chief Justice Rehnquist, President Bush reshaped the Court with his nominations of John Roberts and Samuel Alito, both thoughtful and mostly conservative jurists. Whatever Bush’s faults, these two acts could benefit our nation immensely for generations to come. President Obama, on the other hand, countered by replacing two activist jurists (Souter & Stevens) with two more: Elena Kagen and Sonia Sotomayor, each fully in step with the current Administration’s societal and political agenda. These appointments have not disappointed the progressive left.

How much does this matter? For most people it depends on the issue. Until recently, for millions of Americans in major cities across the nation, owning a handgun was severely restricted if not banned entirely. For decades, Second Amendment advocates had wistfully dreamed of the Supreme Court striking such laws, but were afraid to bring forth a case. What if they lost? Might the Court instead end up nullifying the Second Amendment? On June 28, 2010, with Bush’s appointees the Court finally acknowledged the original intent: that no government, whether federal, state or local, may deny a citizen the right to keep and bear arms.[i] The victory, however, was a narrow one—only 5 to 4. If one more left leaning justice had been appointed, it would have gone the other way. Dissenting, Justice Stevens argued that owning a personal firearm was not a “liberty” interest protected by the Constitution. Likewise, Justice Stephen Breyer stated, “the Framers did not write the Second Amendment in order to protect a private right of armed self-defense.” With a single vote, this suppressive notion would have been the majority opinion.

In just the last decade, this same narrow margin has preserved school choice laws at the state level, but unfortunately tipped the other way and failed to roll back eminent domain abuse. The constitution’s safety in the court is fragile indeed.

Impressive Endorsement! Former Prisoners of War Support Mitt Romney

What a great honor for Governor Mitt Romney…

Yesterday, 150 former prisoners of war (POWs) announced their support for Romney:

I am deeply honored to have the support of these American heroes who suffered so much for our nation and her people,” said Mitt Romney. “Our military men and women are America’s best. They put everything—including their lives and their liberty—on the line for our freedoms. When I am president, I will honor their dedication and those sacrifices by ensuring that we maintain the strength of our military, provide the care our veterans need, and build an economy that gives every American the chance to live their dreams.”

“Our nation’s most sacred commitment is to our men and women in uniform,” said Lt. Colonel Orson Swindle, USMC, (Ret.). “But for the last four years, we’ve been letting them down. Too many veterans come home without opportunities for good jobs. Too many of our wounded are seeing the cost of their medical care on the rise. We need new leadership in Washington. That’s why I am supporting Mitt Romney. He not only appreciates the sacrifices the men and women of the armed forces make, he has the experience and the plan to turn this country around. He’ll make sure that none of our bravest come back from war only to face new and sometimes even more difficult battles at home. Our nation is hungry for that kind of leadership. Mitt Romney will provide it.”

The Governor recently paid tribute to America’s prisoners of war and our military missing in action (MIAs) on National POW/MIA Recognition Day (September 21, 2012).

A bouquet of red, white, and blue graces the National Prisoner of War Museum in Andersonville, GA. The site serves as a memorial to all American prisoners of war.

You must check out the amazing list of military members serving on his council, including retired General Tommy Franks, who said, “Governor Romney is committed to restoring America’s leadership role in the world. Instead of playing politics with our military, he will strengthen our defense posture by reversing the President’s devastating defense cuts. The fact of the matter is that we cannot afford another four years of feckless foreign policy. We need level-headed leadership which will protect our interests and defend our values with clarity and without apology.” DO read more here.

Every name on the following list of endorsers for Governor Romney represents an individual story of enormous sacrifice and valor in the service of our nation. Each individual spent time imprisoned by enemies of the United States. They’ve lived through horrors I can only imagine. Each truly knows what it’s like to suffer for the USA. They see how the Obama economy is affecting returning soldiers and they’re concerned about our shrinking military, sequestration, care for older veterans, and are very aware of Obama’s ‘apology tour’ and his Benghazi cover-up. These POWs know what is at stake in this election. I’ve linked information to the first 10 patriots and the last 10. Copy and paste any name (include “POW’) and search the internet to learn more about every veteran listed. Obama Wants Secty of BUSINESS? USA Needs BUSINESSMAN Mitt Romney!

President Obama recently stated, if reelected, he might rustle up a Secretary of Business.

    Why?

Because, when it comes to business, Obama is LOST.

Plus, tossing out that new position to the masses is a two-fer for Obama. He thinks it makes him sound smart and hopes it assuages the electorate’s fear about him right now – that he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Obama’s out-to-lunch-on-business evidence: His colossal mountain of national debt is proof. America’s pitiful downgraded credit rating is proof. His ‘shovel-ready‘ projects, er, lack thereof, is proof. His weak economy is proof. The number of desperate Americans standing in unemployment lines is proof. Americans working part-time when they fiercely need a full-time job is proof. Those who have given up – just stopped looking for a job is proof. Declining, downward middle class incomes is proof. The sad number of Americans descended into poverty is proof. The woeful number of Americans on welfare is proof. The atrocious number of U.S. citizens surviving on food stamps is proof. Swelling disability rolls are proof. His take-over socialization of health care is proof. His trade policies are proof. Onerous job-impeding federal regulations are proof. His auto bailout is proof. His squandered “stimulus” of $787 billion which America’s children and grandchildren will be forced to pay back is proof. His nix-on-anything beneath-the-ground energy policy is proof. (Federal oil drilling permits down 36%! War on coal! No Keystone pipeline! High gasoline prices! And, with the October bankruptcy of Satcon Technology Corp as many as 50 Obama-backed green energy companies have gone belly up or are wobbling!) His hoped-for tax policy is proof. His aversion to numbers, e.g., a federal budget, is proof.

Obama’s badgering, big government beliefs are bad for America. When it comes to business, our outsourcer President is agonizingly, hair-pullingly, head-bangingly daft. That’s why he’s dangling the idea of adding another bureaucrat and bureaucracy if he finagles another four.

Team Romney has released a fantastic new ad. We’ve only got five days, people. Let’s SHARE it!

Barack Obama recently said he might appoint a Secretary of Business.

His solution to everything is to add another bureaucrat.

Mitt Romney understands business and knows what it will take to create jobs and get our economy moving again.

    He’s done it before.

    He’ll do it again.

At this crucial, decisive time, America must have a president who UNDERSTANDS business.

    America needs Mitt Romney.

UPDATE – Paul Ryan’s remarks on Obama at Greeley, Colorado today (November 1, 2012):

“He can’t run on the broken promises. He can’t run on the trillion-dollar deficits each and every year. But he did come up with a new idea the other day. He’s got a new idea for the second term, and here’s what it is. In addition to all the borrowing and all the spending and all the money printing and all the regulating, he wants a new Cabinet position. He wants to create a new secretary of business. You know, we already have a secretary of business. It’s actually called the Secretary of Commerce. That’s what this agency does. Let me ask you a question. Can anybody name our current Secretary of Commerce? You know why? We don’t have one. It’s been vacant for over four months, and the president hasn’t even proposed or put somebody in the job. We don’t need another bureaucrat or another bureaucracy.”

Will Frankenstorm Faze Halloween? Romney/Ryan Endorsement Treats: NH, MN, OR, CA

Romney supporters are ready for Halloween in Wilton, Connecticut. Oct 25, 2012
    (photographer unknown)

In spite of Hurricane Sandy, dubbed ‘Frankenstorm’, on this All Hallow’s Eve most of the nation’s merry little folks in masquerade will participate in traditional Halloween activities.

Trick-or-treating is a go in storm damaged New York City; Mayor Michael Bloomberg is urging ghoulies, ghosties, and long-leggety beasties to stay away from affected areas and be cautious. According to the latest news report I heard today, Gov Chris Christie, who characterized damage in his state as “too widespread for words”, was still considering issuing an executive order to cancel Halloween in New Jersey until the situation stabilizes somewhat in his state. Given that Christie was touring storm damage this afternoon with Obama, it appears Halloween is a go in The Garden State. Various other cities affected by the super storm Sandy will postpone Halloween frolics until this coming Saturday.

UPDATE (1:21 PM PT): Governor Chris Christie has announced that New Jersey will celebrate Halloween next Monday, November 5, 2012 (election eve!).

While continuing to call upon supporters to be mindful of victims from Hurricane Sandy and to donate to the Red Cross, Governor mitt Romney and Congressman Paul Ryan are back into the ‘spirit’ of things and are campaigning. Today Governor Romney is campaigning in Florida with former FL Gov Jeb Bush and Senator Marco Rubio. Congressman Ryan is spending the day holding events in his home state, Wisconsin, and as the moon rises tonight, will be free to go trick-or-treating with his wife Janna, and three children.

Meanwhile, things that go bump in the night may be the sound of looters and spooks on the left are outrageously baring fangs over Romney’s storm relief efforts. Even though Obama told bone rattling Biden “now is not the time for politics” Joe was up to his usual hocus pocus and also hinted at a 2016 run for the White House. Yikes for America.

Obama will be back on his thorny campaign trail tomorrow, so beware!

Meanwhile, in spite of the double, double, toil, and trouble, the ENDORSEMENT cauldron continues to boil and bubble for the GOP ticket!

    Mitt Romney For President

Four years ago, with little hesitation, we endorsed then-Sen. Barack Obama to become the 44th president of the United States, saying it was a time for “new leadership, a new approach to governing, a new way of conducting the people’s business.”

After several hours of spirited debate, not unlike conversations taking place in kitchens and living rooms across America, we reached a consensus that he had not. Perhaps more importantly, when we identified the key challenges facing the nation – jobs, the economy and the national debt – we concluded he was not the best candidate to meet them.

That person is former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, and we hereby endorse him to become the 45th president of the United States.

As we noted when we endorsed Romney for the GOP nomination prior to the New Hampshire primary in January, Washington is broken. In order to fix it, it will take a strong leader willing to roll up his sleeves and work directly with the heads of both parties to carve out the best possible solutions.

We believe Romney has demonstrated that he can do that; the president has had four years to demonstrate that he can’t.

True leaders also don’t wait until two weeks before Election Day – in the form of a 20-page booklet, no less – to lay out a specific agenda for the next four years. Coupled with the negative tenor of the campaign, that merely confirms the president and his strategists felt that attacking Romney’s agenda was more politically expedient than releasing one of their own.

Nevertheless, we are confident Romney is the candidate who would tackle the serious issues facing this nation, starting with jobs, the economy and the debt. In the end, we couldn’t say the same about the president.

Speaking of hobgoblins, David Axelrod, senior strategist for Obama’s reelection campaign, today declared he would “shave my mustache if Obama loses Minnesota.” Come on! Let’s make Axelfraud break out his razor! While traditionally a ‘blue-wall’, the race is tightening enough that Romney is now buying ad time in The North Star State. Check out the endorsement below:

Romney vote is right for president

[T]he president’s first term has not been full of successes.

He moved on health care reform, pushing through legislation without bipartisan support, resulting in a legislative backlash which gridlocked Congress.

This administration has been unsuccessful in reducing the unemployment rate in the United States, with 43 long months with the rate above 8 percent.

Economic growth has remained stagnant through most of his first term. The three-year recovery has been very slow, poverty is up, family incomes are down and housing has been in a slump.

The scary issue facing America this Halloween is a looming fiscal crisis. There is the gigantic budget deficit $5 trillion deeper than when Obama took office. And a looming fiscal cliff deadline at the end of year, when automatic cuts of $100 billion from federal budgets and tax increases of $400 billion, happen unless Congress and the administration make a deal.

For various reasons, Obama has not been a uniting force and has not found a way to work with his Republican opposition.

Four years ago a nation tired of two wars, high deficit spending and an unfolding economic crisis sought a change. The country’s voters chose a young senator from Illinois to lead us forward.

There has been fair criticism of the Republican leaders of Congress who vowed to obstruct the president in the last two years, just as Obama had a Democratic control and didn’t work with Republicans in the first two years of his administration.

And both political parties are to blame for not having the political fortitude to deal with America’s growing fiscal crisis.

On Nov. 6, west central Minnesota voters face a choice for president. We all agree that Washington is broken and not functioning, much like a baseball team that is not winning. There is a time when a change is needed and a new manager is brought in to get the team refocused.

Republican Mitt Romney is seeking to bring that change to Washington. He is promising a new brand of leadership, an economic focus to create jobs and fiscal prudence to work on the budget deficit.

Romney has demonstrated his leadership in private business, in state government and in the 2002 Olympics.

He is a successful businessman, who earned his wealth through investment and decision-making strategies. He has spent the majority of his life in private business and said he knows how to grow jobs.

In 1999, Romney was brought in to resolve the scandalous crisis at the Salt Lake City Olympics. He addressed the situation, calmed sponsors, developed new leadership, controlled spending and staged an excellent Winter Olympics.

In 2002, he was elected governor of Massachusetts and faced an overwhelmingly Democratic legislature. He worked with that Legislature to control spending, restructure state government and eliminated a $3 billion state government deficit.

America needs a change in leadership to refocus the country and its economy toward a strong and vibrant country. This country cannot afford to slip back into another recession so soon.

We believe Romney is the right choice for president on Nov. 6.

    (There’s more!)
