Mitt Romney & The Baby Brigade: A Walk Down Memory Lane

With their 19th grandchild on the way (son Craig’s wife, Mary, is expecting) Mitt and Ann Romney are obviously very comfortable and happy around babies. Ann recently shared just how much they love having their grandchildren with them (it was fun to see them at various events throughout the campaign!). Along the trail, several pundits also noted how natural and at ease Governor Romney was holding babies handed to him by parents along the rope line.

I’ve been saving a few photos of The Gov and the tykes he met. With another peek into the window of Mitt Romney’s oh-so-kind heart, here’s a walk down baby brigade memory lane…

For Mitt, hefting all those little ones was a labor of love.

  3. hollaye vladimiroff says:

You have done a great job in reporting the truth and sharing the life of a great man, Mitt Romney. This Country is grieving
but we cannot give up. Thank you again.

  4. Nancy Roba says:

Every one of those sweet children have been blessed to have been held buy a man who really knows their worth God bless Mitt Romney and all those little ones

  5. Janice Kipp says:

I have been heart broken for days about this fiasco they called an election. I think Mitt needs to DEMAND that the Military votes are counted!!!!!!! If Florida and Ohio can do a recount, then the Military ballots that arrived to late should be counted!!! WE NEED MITT!!!!

  6. Janice Kipp says:

He is such a wonderful family man, a God fearing man, and would lead our country back on track. Love these pictures with the babies! Mitt and Ann would’ve blessed this country by their service as President and First Lady.

  7. Rene Popelik says:

I am in tears… As one posted already…
Mitt you didn’t LOSE… America LOST.
You won my heart and soul, I never met you but I feel like I have met you….you ooze LOVE, Pure Love!

I don’t know how to explain it to my 3 yr old grandson who
was extremely excited go to Romney Ryan for President!

    Bless you ALL!

  8. Ellie wilson says:

  9. Jerri DeCarolis says:

I can’t get a grip on what happened. I stayed home all of Wednesday…except to take/pick up my son from school. The pictures above are adorable…but my heart aches tremendously. To know what we could have had…..a chance. My children do not understand…and they are 17 and 12. The people Mitt. This is wrong….this is wrong.

  10. Jinny Black says:

Thanks for all your hard work. You tried. Between all the folks not willing to vote against their meal ticket, so they can continue to sit on their thumbs while the rest of us earn their keep . . . and the unfair media . . . and those who voted based on the color of a man’s skin alone . . . and then just the plain old numb skulls, who have their heads up and locked . . . we didn’t stand a chance. What in the heck are people thinking? It’s only been two days, and things have already started deteriorating more. And Dumbo has conveniently planned an overseas trip so he can continue to avoid Benghazi questions. I live in CA, so I feel my vote was wasted, and like I have had no say in this mess at all. What in the hell can we do now? What condition are we going to be in come 2016? Thanks again for all your efforts. I usually try to believe things happen for a reason, but I cannot figure this one out??????? Godspeed Mitt Romney.

  11. Cathy says:

Such a good good man. Our nation has no idea what they’ve lost…they will know soon.

  12. Lucy Wolphat says:

Govenor Romney didn’t lose, we let him down..we should have and could have done more. We didn’t do enough. We never dreamed a good man like this would ever be beaten by the base Obama represented. Always thought hard working people who’s faith was so strong and morals, family values were solidly ingrained in our families would overcome immorality….but, I guess we underestimated the power of evil that would stop at nothing to win. Our hearts are broken, I really believed God would lead us out of this downward spiral parts of our country are in…women who care more about murdering unborn babies and birth control, than in their love of family and their country, non working people who want something for nothing, faithless people, gays and illegals who entered our country illegally yet were allowed to vote after lawsuits in Ohio and Virginia and sevral other stated resulted in allowing some to vote without voter IDS and only using utility bills or bank statements for identification. Obama did not win in a single state that requires voter ID..he won is all the states that he sued to keep the voter ID requirement from being used and those happen to be Ohio, Virginia and California, Colorado and several others..how can you fight cheaters? And how can someone vote without an ID…I guess that is kind of stupid for me to ask, when the man running for re-election doesn’t have to prove where he came from either.. Anyone running for the highest office in the world should be vetted and anyone voting for this person should at the very least show a photo Id to show they are legal citizens..of this great country. Fraud, and cheating should never be allowed in voting for the President…there should never be a cloud over an election about who wins honestly or dishonestly..

  13. Robin for Mitt says:

America has lost its chance to have a great president. Mitt was made for this moment and our nation is too unrighteous to know it. Mitt would have had the moral direction to get us out of the mess we are in. Now we will be in it only deeper. Thank you Mitt and Ann for trying so hard. Half of the nation is broken-hearted and knows this is not a good path. I blame this loss on the mainstream media who refused to show America who you are and glossed over Obama’s deep flaws. All we can do is boycott them. If half of the nation would boycott then perhaps we would see the return of unbiased reporting. God bless you Mitt and Ann and MRC too.

  14. Lauranne Wood says:

I am still in disbelief. This is the first day I’ve been able to function. Governor Romney, you were our last hope to have a really decent claassy man and family in the White House. America needed you. I feel like there is a rat somewhere. States, like Wisconsin and others were called very early when we were ahead. Then there is the Military. Were there most loyal votes counted? I’ve heard not. Disgraceful! Enlistment is going to drop, caue this man does not have their backs. Those votes should be counted, along with the ones still being counted in Pinellis Co., Fl are now. Makes no sense! These were lovely but sad pics. I hope Governor Romney that ya’ll go on a Wonderful vacation. You all deserve it! God Bless you ALL and the Ryan family.

  15. Julie Zimmer says:

When I saw these pictures, they brought tears to my eyes. I can’t help but grieve what could have been. I believe God gave us a clear choice – allow Him to be our provider and sustainer, or the government. Our nation will get exactly what we have demanded. I still can’t get over it – like Esau, we just traded our birthright for a bowl of soup. (Genesis 25:29-34)

  16. Ann Werner says:

Tears of sadness flow as I read the comments. So many feel a tremendous sense of loss as I do myself. We were robbed of an exceptionally good man to lead our country. Someone to look up to. I’m angry at the lies that slandered Mitt. The election was stolen from us, Chicago style. Those missing ballots are probably swimming with the fishies in Lake Michigan. (Old Capone saying.)

  17. Roxanne says:

    I love that man.

  18. katie says:

Romney had everything they didn’t seem to have! His principles , values, interity, 5 boys that grew into responsible , great looking family men with children of their own and they worry about their future in this Modern world romney

  19. Claudette says:

These pictures made me cry and oh how we missed out on getting a man in office that truly loves this country. Can’t believe we have put this community organizer back in office compared to a governor and business man. Guess Chris Matthews had alot of other people put a tingle up their legs. Best to you Mitt and Ann; you will be missed.

  20. Abe says:

Oh how I would have loved to see this man become
president of the US. I am not even an american.
The consequences will be indescribable awful.
Yet I know that God is not done with this man.
He will come roaring back when America needs him
    even more than now.

  21. Vicki Brown says:

I feel like I just lost the best thing that could of ever happen to me. Mitt, you dId not loose this country lost a Great Family Man with Morals, Love and Affection for his Country. You ran on Principles that the people of this country have lost. I hope you stay in the puplic eye for us who still care.
    Thank You & Ann

  22. Natalie Sheridan says:

Fantastic photo’s, thank you so much for sharing them. Mitt is a wonderful kind and caring man.

  23. TutuTerrific says:

I pray some way can be found for this nation to avail itself of this great man’s talents. We need him so much!! I sincerely hope Obama will be wise enough (for once) to put Mitt to work for America.

  24. Martie Chotiner says:

And I thought I was done crying. I long for the day I stop thinking about what could have been. I feel like a loved one has died. Then I see these pictures of this mans character shining and my heart aches even more. May these next 4 years be swift.

  25. rivan says:

  26. Jerald says:

    Hi Jayde
    Jerald in Japan

I’d ask how you are but I think I know.

I’ll share how I feel in a way I know you would understand.

Growing up, my favorite place in the whole world was Spirit Lake on Mt. St. Helens.

Then in 1980 the mountain blew its top and everything was gone.

The 700-year-old virgin forest. The mysterious “bottomless” lake so clear you could see the fish 50 ft down, the tales of the Indians, the Sasquatch legends….everything.

Sure, it was replaced by a whole new landscape and Mother Nature is working her magic on it, but it will never be the same.

All that are left are memories and the sadness that I won’t be able to make new memories there with my children.

I had huge hopes for what Mitt and Paul could do for the country……but now I realize that country is probably gone. Maybe it will reemerge after everyone has suffered enough, but how to do to take an entire country from dependency and entitlement back to responsibility and self-sufficiency.

After all, there are so many “abliging rich people” we can shake down…

Drop me a line if you get a chance.

  27. Jerald says:

    PS. Thanks for the pictures.
They are so wonderful….even if it hurts to see Mitt and Ann on the compaign trail…

  28. Kerrie says:

I feel like a mother whose daughter, 4 years ago, brought home two men she was interested in. She decided to become engaged to the one I did not want in the family. I gave him a chance and hoped it would work out because of my love for her, but these past 4 years have been extremely tough. A long comes another man who she meets and I really like him. I try and convince her that she needs to leave the one she is engaged to and marry this new guy. He is so AWESOME, but she likes the perks from the first and decides to now marry him. I have him as my son-in-law and hope she decide to divorce him in 4 years. I need to stay strong and not let her go, because I still Love her. She will come around to the truth. It is just going to take some time. God Bless the United States of America!

  29. John says:

Mitt did a great job and you could tell after the first debate, he was comfortable and natural. Because of it he got stronger in the polls.

Relativism won Tuesday and is an evil philosphy that must be stopped. I believe that the Gov. Romney put it all out there in the end. Obama and his team did a good job identifying their enemy early, and painting a portrait that would energize their base.

We failed to get our vote out and is something we will pay for.

  30. Sarah says:

Such a tender visual of the Romneys that we all know and love. Thank you for all you have done MRC!

  31. Barbara says:

I feel so cheated. This is such a loss for all of those voting to see Mitt in the White House. It was such a tough campaign for this family. They were full of vigor to do the job. I have been on the loosing side before and it takes a lot of iwind out of our sales. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Romney Family.
You are so blessed to have Mitt at your helm. Again I feel so cheated. We will never have the wonderful pleasure of following a truly great man in our White House. America has suffered a great loss Nov 6th. President Mitt Romney. I wish him much happiness in the years to come and Thank him for giving us his all.

  32. Barbara Z says:

To ALL the ROMNEY: I am so upset. I had such hope & excitement & encouragement for the future of us ALL in America at the thought of you & I being in the White Housem. Just saying President Romney & First Lady Ann Romney gave our family – 4 grown children & their families – a new pride in America. Not sure how long it will take us to get over this. It is as if we need to know you & Ann are still here for us to depend on for America. Would like if you all could send updates from time to time. God bless you all!

  33. Donna says:

Thank you Mitt and Ann Romney! And thank you to your wonderful sons/wives and grandchildren! We know that this election was stolen from you and our mourning is beyond great!
Thank you Mitt Romney Central. Please consider continuing this site.
Thank you to all of the many comments who have shared. I too watched Wisconsin called early and was in disbelief. The numbers in this election will never be settled in my heart and in my mind.
May God Bless the Romney Family and know that our prayers continue to be with you.

  34. Marie says:

Wake up you women of America…most of us who have a brain are in mourning for the United States of America…the way we have known it! Stop thinking about your vanity and get educated – Romey was never going to TAKE AWAY YOUR CONTRACEPTION! Think about the country your children will inherit…a country that our forefathers fought to establish with their ingenuity and blood…a Christian nation…not one of Muslins who want to do away with all “infidels”…that means YOU, honey! We must work with our representatives and senators and convince them to regain this country’s leadership in the world,,,stay away from temptation…look what happened to General Petreaus!

  35. Marie says:

    I spelled Petreaus wrong!

  36. Karen says:

Beautiful pictures of a great man. He is the man America needed at this moment – his character, his gifts, his hard work, his leadership. It IS such a great loss to us all. Instead of bright hope, a dark cloud hangs over. It is apparent that many, many people share the pain I feel in my heart for what could have been for America. I still hold to a hope that the truth of the election will come to light and allow him to take his rightful place as President of the United States. Thank you Mitt and Ann and the Romney family, for sacrificing so much for us.

  37. Priscilla Jacobson says:

Thank-you Mitt and Ann for a most memorable story of the Family we should have going into the White House. Loved seeing your beautiful family of children and grandchildren. I am so sad the way the election turned out. Maybe I will have the luck some summer to shake your hands in Wolfeboro. My daughter and family live on Main st. I am eighty, but still like to go for ice-cream up at the Lake.
    Blessings forever.

  38. Kenneth Zwernemann says:

Thank you Mitt & Ann for sharing your life, time & talent with America! We love you both! We should be making plan for you all to be moving into the White House right now. We will never forget ya’ll.

  39. Joan C. says:

This man and his family are an inspiration to us all. I have neighbors who came from Cuba. They are so distraught that I would not be surprise to see her in the hospital soon. My family feels the same way. Everyone is busy selling off their stock. The youth vote irritates me. They simply fell for the idea that Obama is cool. Hollywood said so, never mind that they have no jobs and know nothing about the economy. The one thing that I am at peace about is the fact that his family will be safe now. I worried about them if Mitt had won. I blame the republican primaries for some of this. How can anyone hope to survive that and then the amount of money spent to slander him by Obama. The next time both sides will be in the same boat. The lies and slander thrown at him was unbelievable. Thank you Mitt and Ann for showing America what a class act looks like. I think he will spend the next four years getting Marco Rubio elected. He cares about this country. I hope we survive that long. It disappoints me that so many Americans are so blind to the truth.

  40. S. Wickstrom says:

This is a thank you note to a good man.
Thank you for turning aside from a life of ease and security to run for the presidency against an incumbent.
Thank you for enduring the slander of you, your family, and your faith perpetrated by a criminally negligent media.
Thank you for calling things such as ‘terrorism’ by their right name.
Thank for selecting Paul Ryan as vice presidential running mate.
Thank you — and your lovely wife — for demonstrating true lve.
Thank you for handling yourself with grace and equanimity in every situation.
    Thank you for your patriotism.
Thank you for believing in America. It is to our eternal shame that America did not, in this time and place, believe in you.
    America is the loser.

  41. JoAnne Smith says:

I also want to thank all of the Romney’s and Ryan’s for their hard work in their quest to win their presidency. I know they won too as this election was filled with bone chilling fraud. I also will never understand how our free press allowed it to happen. I guess the main stream media is filled with ignorant cowards! Never in my life did I think I would quote Michelle Obama but for the first time in my life I am not proud of my Country.
