While weather effects of super storm Hurricane Sandy are not yet over and rescue efforts are underway, the Romney/Ryan storm relief effort continues. Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, and Ann Romney have not stopped! Governor Romney was in Kettering, Ohio this morning and will be in Tampa, Florida this evening. Today, Paul Ryan will speak at a stop at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in Minnesota. He’ll then journey to his home state, Wisconsin for additional events. Ann Romney is in Wisconsin and will be in Iowa later today. All three will thank diligent volunteers who are collecting/delivering items for storm relief from Romney Victory Centers.

Governor Romney today in Ohio:

We have heavy hearts as you know with all the suffering going on in a major part of our country — a lot of people hurting this morning. We’re looking for all the help we can get for all the families that need.” – Mitt Romney

Congressman Paul Ryan today in Wisconsin will also be joined by former Wi Gov. Tommy Thompson in stops at La Crosse and Hudson. Thompson is in a tight U.S. Senate seat race against U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin. (When additional information about Ryan’s events in Minnesota and Wisconsin are available, it will be updated here.)

Paul Ryan and Tommy Thompson visit Hudson

Tuesday afternoon, hundreds of men, women, children and students waited for over an hour so see Paul Ryan, vice presidential candidate. Tommy Thompson, the former governor and now Republican candidate for U.S. Senator arrived at the Hudson Victory Center shortly before Ryan.

An effort at Republican Victory Centers throughout Wisconsin to collect food, dog food and other essential supplies for victims of Hurricane Sandy took place in Hudson Tuesday.

Hundreds of people arrived bringing their donations and the hope to see vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan.

The donations will be going to an organization called Nourish America. They will shipped to Pennsylvannia for distribution to areas of the East Coast hardest hit. Ryan also called for donations to be made to the Red Cross. …

Ann Romney today in Wisconsin:

Whenever there’s a crisis in this country, what do we all do? We put aside party, we come together, we put our arms together and we solve the problems.” – Ann Romney

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s wife encouraged people to donate to the Red Cross at a Green Bay area campaign office.

Ann Romney told a packed room of volunteers and other supporters that this is a time for Americans to unite for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

She also urged people to pray for the storm victims.

Wisconsin first lady Tonette Walker introduced her after urging the crowd to give blood.

Gov Romney and Ann are always very generous, public servant citizens. I’m sure this event help comes naturally to them.

Where is Prez Obama? He must busy packing his luggages. Six more days! Very exciting!

    Keep the momentum going……….
    We will WIN!!!

AfricanforRomney – True! Service has been and IS a way of life for Mitt and Ann.

Can’t wait to get them in the White House!

  3. Geraldine Walters says:

We are so glad that Mitt and Ann have always been willing to help others; it is their way of life, not a political-one-of-a-kind!

  4. VegasMike says:

Sorry to post this question on a site talking about Sandy Relief, but I was just shocked at MSNBC show ( Chris Mathews). He and others, including Al Sharpton, Ronnie Reagan were going crazy about Mitts comments of Jeep moving to China. It was very nasty and all of them calling Mr Romney a Liar. They even has head of Chrysler saying Mitt was giving out misinformation. Does anybody know what’s going on??????

  5. Cathy says:

Serving others is second nature to Mitt and Ann. So, they know what it takes to make a difference in the lives of people that are hurting. I know he has initiated much in the relief effort and won’t stop until he’s done all he can. He is a “hands-on” man and service is the hallmark of his life. We are so blessed to have a man like Gov. Romney who knows what it means to be a leader and a follower of God.
Praying for a win on Nov.6th. We all will be better off.

  6. Susan says:

A very caring person – this is the type of man we need in the Oval Office. He will help lead our country in the direction we need to go.

  7. Vic Lundquist says:

What a great post Jayde! Anybody who has studied the lives of the Romney family knows the servant leadership approach is second nature. What a great post!

While on this subject, I’d like to remind everyone that Gov. Tommy Thompson needs our help to defeat the extremely leftist Tammy Baldwin, who has voted to unilaterally cut America’s nuclear deterrent deeply, voted (and cosponsored legislation to) deny our troops the funding they need even for nonviolent purposes like training, medical supplies, body armor, and housing, voted AGAINST sanctions on Iran, AGAINST a resolution condemning the Iranian regime’s genocide of its own citizens in 2009, and “present” on a resolution calling on the UN to indict Ahmadinejad for incitement to genocide. We must do all that we can to ensure that this extreme leftist is defeated.

  11. Lori Blanchong says:

Great job so far with responding to this crisis! I think Gov. Romney should continue to spend most of his time & resources helping with the East Coast rather than campaigning anymore. People are tired of listening to “talk” by both sides. They DO WATCH ACTIONS! So this is a great opportunity to use this benevolent “action” as THE campaign strategy!!! (making sure it’s publicized obviously). If I were “on the fence” about the candidates, what they do with this crisis would definitely help make up my mind!

The head of Chrysler……by any chance are you talking about Sergio Marchionne who is also the head CEO of Fiat in Italy. Obama during the post bankruptcy phase gave Fiat (an Italian manufacturer 20% equity in Chrysler at the expense of retirees and secured lenders. The secured lenders should have been paid first, but instead he paid off the UAW, government and 20% equity to Fiat. Fiat gave nothing up front.

So now we have Fiat the Italian Manufacturer calling the shots for Chrysler. In a Romney ad they are saying

“Obama took GM & Chrysler into bankruptcy and sold Chrysler to Italians who are going to build jeeps in China”

Obama did sell Chrysler to Italians. I believe they have controlling interest. Do we want Marchionne who has interest outside of the US deciding if and when we should have a plant in China. It was Marchionne who announced he was planning on having the Fiat produced in a Chrysler plant in Mexico and sold in the US. Is that in the best interest of Chryler?

Democrats argue that the Chrysler plant in China will only be sold in China and that they will still have plants in Ohio to sell in the US. The Romney camp says that Chrysler will add additional jobs in China and they are not saying jobs will move there. Obama has made so many unfair accusations about Romney and outsourcing and now liberals they are outraged by these remarks.

If anyone can keep jobs here and treat lendors, retirees and workers fairly it’s Mitt Romney. Romney/Ryan….2012!

I spared my $25 coffee money each to Tommy Thompson (WI), Todd Akins (MO), Mia Love (UT) and Tom Smith (PA. I heard a report on the radio 2 or 3 weeks ago, Tommy Thomson kind of lazy campainging in WI (don’t know that’s true or not). Mr Tommy, you better campaign the remaining days my $25 dollars worth :-) I hope, GOP takes majority again.
