Things are jumping in swing-state Ohio!

For the first time this campaign season, Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice hit the campaign trail yesterday for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. At a packed college sports stadium in Berea, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland, Senator Rob Portman pumped up the crowd while introducing Rice. She spoke of the pivotal crossroad our country is now at and, how her service as Secretary of State enabled her to see how important America’s role is in the world. Following her inspirational remarks, VP candidate Paul Ryan gave a rousing speech to the enthusiastic crowd.

Here’s video:

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice:

I’m here because I want, like you, to see this country prosper, to see this country continue to be a place of unlimited opportunity, to see this country lead the world toward prosperity, and liberty, and peace. And so, I’m here to support Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in this quest.”

This is a pivotal time in our country’s history.”

The last four years have been very tough on folks who just want to work hard and make a living. … Many Americans out of work wonder if they’re ever going to work again and, you know, they have reason to [worry] because the longer you’re out of work, the less likely you are to find a job. And so, when Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan say they’re going to put this country back to work – THIS IS AN URGENT CALL – not one for which we can wait another four years.”

After the event, Ryan, Rice, and Portman toured the Cleveland Browns football training facility.

Canid is awesome! Love her. Interesting, that was one hell of commencment speech. You can tell campaigning is not her thing.
Candi is right, this election is an URGENT CALL! We can’t afford another 4 years.

  2. Pepere says:

  3. lois underwood says:

  4. susan mason says:

Urgent Call is correct We need to work hard over the next few weeks for Romney/Ryan we can not afford another 4 years and we deserve a president who will speak the truth 100% of the time

  5. frances quinn says:

this was absolutely inspiring…condi rice was great, portman was great, ryan was great. with a team like this how could the country not go forwards with Romney/Ryan. i loved the whole thing….

  6. Lois Segreaves says:

I hope the team of Romney & Ryan win this election, if they don’t I feel that all we worked for all our lives so our children, grandchildren and if you are so lucky greatgrandchildren can have a promising future will be gone by the end of four more years of what we have now. Save our Social Security that we worked so hard for and not give it to those who just come here to reap our benefits. Preserve our country for those who worked hard all their liv es, raised their children believing in our government and counting on having a good future. God bless America.

  7. Joan C. says:

Obama keeps spiking the ball and claiming that he has kept us safe. Bush and Condi Rice kept us safe for almost eleven years. Obama is simply taking credit for their work. I have said many times that if Clinton had responded, as he should have, after the Cole and embassy explosions, maybe we would not have had 9/11. He fired one rocket at bin Laden, missed and gave up. Romney will not be so weak. I think that standing tall and showing strength will prevent wars, as JFK did in the crisis over nukes in Cuba, back in the days when Democrats were not quite so radical.

  8. Robert T. Reynolds says:

Perfect. Condoleezza Rice is the smartest woman I ever see, each time she said something, she use the proper words, the truth like it is without offending nobody. She is has strenght and also sweet person.
