Amid Autumn’s Heated Campaign, Do Romney/Ryan Families Find Time to Chill?

With the Romney’s attending church today in Belmont, MA and the Governor spending time preparing for Tuesday’s presidential debate, I thought it might be relaxing for Romney/Ryan supporters to look back on the week. Let’s see if the Romney and Ryan families are finding time amid the heated campaign to enjoy October, a bit of Mother Nature’s beauty, and just chill…

Kick off your shoes and take your time.

Here’s an autumn Romney/Ryan photo essay

Ann Romney, bundled up to stay warm, took a detour on the way from Hudsonville, Michigan to the Detroit suburb of Franklin to visit the Peanut Shop in downtown Lansing. She bought some trick-or-treat goodies including cashews and cinnamon almonds she said were Mitt’s favorite. She also picked up some ‘sour jelly pumpkins’ for the grandchildren. Yum! The Detroit News quoted her saying “I love it here.” Oct 12, 2012 (Photo – AP)

Did you happen to see Ann co-host on Good Morning America last week?

Had to throw in this video of Ann at Franklin Cider Mill!

She seems like a really genuine person, and I thought it was great to see her,” said supporter Tammy Roy.

“Right now we’ve got people that are depressed, people out of work. These guys are so invigorating [and isn’t Ann wonderful?!],” supporter Victor Diaz said.

Further proof frost is on the pumpkin, Tagg Romney tweeted on Oct 13, 2012: ‘”Campaigning in NH today, but started the day campaigning w my son. 1st boy scout campout for him was FREEZING.” Brrr…

After delivering remarks to a massive crowd at a rally in Lebanon, Ohio on Sat, Oct 13, 2012, Mitt Romney met this little flannel-clad fella along the rope line. It was an instant friendship! (Photo – Getty Images)

As the setting sun cast a golden glow through the autumn leaves, Old Glory, and over the massive crowd, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan addressed supporters in Lancaster, Ohio. (Senator Rob Portman is standing to the right.) What isn’t pictured are Paul’s children throwing out T-shirts to the crowd (which was met with resounding cheers!). Thanks, kids!

Wasn’t that a refreshing break?

Now, back to work we go! On to the second presidential debate on Tuesday, Oct 16. Details here.

Bring it home for us, Mitt! We’re cheering for you!

  4. Stephen Aycock says:

Two wonderful families who truly love this country and its people. They want the best for this country. Growing up in this country as a child was truly wonderful! We had the freedoms to grow and develop and we were taught high morals and values that helped to make this country strong. I want the same for my children and grandchildren because I know that this is what will be best for them. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are good and honest people. This is what our country needs. People who want America strong not people who want to downsize it and make it weak. Most of all, I would rather have leaders who pray to God for help and direction in leading this nation because this country will not be strong and successful without God. Go Romney and Ryan, we want you to lead this country!

  5. Diane says:

Why is it thought that candy will not be a good moderator, by both Obama and Romney?

  6. Ann says:

Michigan brings back great memories! Mitt’s father, George, was our wonderful governor, and we elected him 3 times, I think! Like father, like son, Mitt has the natural ability to be a great leader, too! Michigan, I hope and pray that you will soon have a Native Son as President of USA! I loved those beautiful pictures of Michigan!
