Yesterday, Venezuela’s dictatorial oppressor, Hugo Chavez, declared his best-friend-forever status with Barack Obama. (In July, Chavez, endorsed Barack Obama for another four years in the White House; yesterday made it a double ‘thumbs-up’ for Obama.):
With both presidents facing tight re-election fights, Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez gave a surprise endorsement to Barack Obama on Sunday – and said the U.S. leader no doubt felt the same. “I hope this doesn’t harm Obama, but if I was from the United States, I’d vote for Obama,” the socialist Chavez said of a man he first reached out to in 2009… Chavez is running for a new six-year term against opposition challenger Henrique Capriles, while Obama seeks re-election in November against Republican candidate Mitt Romney. Venezuela’s election is next weekend. “Obama is a good guy … I think that if Obama was from Barlovento or some Caracas neighborhood, he’d vote for Chavez,” the president told state TV, referring to a poor coastal town known for the African roots of its population.
Regarding Hugo’s campaign race next weekend between himself and Henrique Capriles… surprise! Hugo is projecting victories for himself and Obama; plus, he likes the way Obama talks about the El Comandante administration:
But Chavez was back in a conciliatory mood in a TV interview with friend and former vice president Jose Vicente Rangel.
“After our triumph and the supposed, probable triumph of President Obama, with the extreme right defeated here and there, I hope we could start a new period of normal relations with the United States,” he said.
“Obama recently said something very rational and fair … that Venezuela is no threat to the interests of the United States,” he added.
• Obama’s thinking that Venezuela isn’t a threat to the interests of America sounds like a bit of wishful thinking with a quart of whitewash thrown in – kind of like his earlier statements when he said “the private sector is doing just fine” and the economy can be fixed if people “buy thingamajigs“. Chavez is thick-as-thieves with Ahmadinejad; in recent years, he’s met with the Iranian President at least nine times in Iran and Ahmadinejad has courted Chavez on or around his home turf at least six times. Chavez prides himself for thinking he’s at the head of a world-wide anti-imperialist effort (inspired by and in cahoots with mentor Fidel Castro). Ahmadinejad has called Chavez “a great revolutionary that is resisting against imperialism by defending the rights of his people, Latin America and the peoples of the world.”

Ahmadinejad, in turn, has thanked Chavez for his “brotherly stance” in backing Iran in the face of international sanctions.
… Venezuela is making unmanned aerial vehicles, commonly known as drones, with the help of Iran, Chavez said June 13 [2012] on national television.
The two countries in 2007 also established in Caracas the Banco Internacional de Desarrollo, which together with its main Iranian shareholder, Bank Saderat, is accused by the U.S. of being a vehicle for the Ahmadinejad government’s funding of Middle Eastern terrorist group Hezbollah.
• According to Bloomberg’s Charlie Devereux, a bigger concern for our national security is what Chavez and Ahmadinejad are cooking up – which could include possible plans to use Venezuela as a launch pad for attacks against America if diplomatic relations with Iran continue to sour.
Townhall’s Guy Benson:
And what about Obama’s “very rational and fair” assessment of Venezuela’s position on the world stage? The notion that Caracas poses no “serious” threat to US interest might come as news to some:
Chavez [is] not just destroying democracy in Venezuela but [has] turned the country into a base for international terror, a money laundering center for FARC narco-terrorists while also undermining U.S. sanctions on Syria. Rubio also mentioned that Chavez’s consul general in Miami was expelled on Obama’s watch for links to cyber attacks on the United States. But Rubio neglected to mention that Venezuela has become one of Iran’s leading trading partners and diplomatic allies and an obstacle to what the president has said is one of his key foreign policy objectives in stopping their nuclear program. If all that hasn’t “had a serious national security impact” on the United States, what is there Venezuela could do, short of start a shooting war, to ruffle the president’s feathers?
Even Left-leaning human rights organizations have documented Chavez’s systematic destruction of Venezuela’s democratic institutions, and Britan’s Left-wing Guardian newspaper renders this judgment as the socialist would-be autocrat faces a very tough re-election battle:
On closer inspection, the only thing that appears to be 21st century about Chávez’s 21st-century socialism is the presidential Twitter account. The economy is still run along the same rigid lines that crippled eastern bloc economies for much of the 20th century. One after another, industries have been nationalised only to become outsized money-pits unable to produce the goods needed. The steel and cement industries can’t produce enough to meet the country’s housing needs; electric utilities have brought chronic blackouts throughout the country; and the phone company has failed to deliver adequate internet access. Venezuelans like to joke that Julian Assange passed over Venezuela for political asylum simply because the internet is so slow there. That Venezuela’s economy doesn’t grind to a halt, Zimbabwe style, amid the waste, corruption and mismanagement of incompetent central planning is down to a single word: oil.
Socialism fails wherever it’s attempted, but Venezuela’s socialistic strong man sees a mutually-respectful kindred spirit in Barack Obama. …

• Don’t forget this important Obama tidbit from July 29, 2009: Obama appointed Chavez-admirer Mark Lloyd (also a Saul Alinsky disciple) ‘Chief Diversity Officer’ at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to a position specially formed for him. Back in 2006, Lloyd authored Prologue to a Farce: Communication and Democracy in America – a book outlining how leftist activists can oust commercial broadcasters (conservative talk radio) off the airwaves and replace them with public broadcasters.
The National Conference for Media Reform (NCMR) unearthed a 2006 a tape of Mark Lloyd praising Chavez:
“In Venezuela, with Chavez, is really an incredible revolution – a democratic revolution. To begin to put in place things that are going to have an impact on the people of Venezuela.

Barack Obama and democracy debilitating Hugo Chavez- BFF!
P.S. Guy Benson’s reminder of Obama’s foreign policy friends- a partial list of other international Obama endorsements:
Former KGB operative and illegitimate Russian president Vladimir Putin (whom Obama congratulated on his electoral “win” in March), France’s socialist president (who just pushed through a top tax rate of 75 percent), the Communist Chinese government (indirectly, via attacks on Mitt Romney through the official state ministry of propaganda), and a spokesman for the terrorist group Hamas (David Axelrod said the Obama campaign was “flattered” by Hamas’ words of support).

If Romney keeps a straight serious face while Bacca smiles He’ll win the debate even if he loses.
Mitt has to start looking serious and concerned … and he’ll walk into the White House, if he keeps smiling … who knows.
Obama and Hillary are complicit in the murders in Libya
They knew ahead of the dangers and did not provide security
Sounds like accessory to murder or at least negligent
Homicide. Felonies
Also disastrous lines/ paragraphs in Obama care like
Obama access to our bank accounts and investments.
And thedeath squad will determine what and when I can receive healthcare and so on IT ISMTIME TO hold the dictator’s feet to the fire
The black united for Obama so the white must united for Mitt, the socialism endorsed Obama so the democratic must endorse Mitt, the dictator vote for Obama, the freedom must vote for Mitt.
Birds of a feather flock together… Vultures…Obama, Chavez, Muslim Brotherhood etc. It’s time to fly the coup Mr. O. We need to trust our President. Mitt can be trusted and entrusted with out beloved America.
A PLEA for all you in the 8 SWING states (Florida, Ohio, Iowa, Nevada, Colorado, No. Carolina, Virginia, New Hampshire)
As a conservative women, and one of millions, from blue, Democratic states (mine is Ca.), our vote has been predetermined (against our voting will), to send all it’s electoral votes in favor of Obama. This makes me feel VERY angry and entirely helpless in making a difference in this election. It’s like saying since 51% of you want a liberal state, then 49% of you don’t count, and have to go along with us no matter what your values are. This is not fair or right but it’s the law right now. I do wish we would go only to the popular vote and majority wins for presidential elections. Maybe some day.
So, I feel helpless but not hopeless, so I’m reaching out to you in the 8 swing states, to represent the multi millions of us that can’t change the outcome in our states. YOU are the ones we are counting on. YOU are our voices, YOU are our vote, YOU are our only hope. YOU determine where the country will go in the next 4 years. YOUR vote is like voting ten thousand times for us. Please don’t take this lightly. Please don’t think your vote won’t matter. Please make sure you vote, no matter what it takes (I’ll come out and drive you to the polling booth if need be).
When you go to the voting booth, think of the thousands of people that have their complete faith in you, their hands on your shoulder and their heart speaks to yours. Do you know YOU are in thousands of prayers? Think of your children and their children. Think of the kind of America you want for them. This is the most important election in history, and we are PRAYING that you will do your part and vote.
From the multi millions of us conservative voters trapped and silenced in blue states, please hear our PLEA to you. Your vote just may be the vote that gets us over the top, to represent our conservative values and elect the best man for that job. Mitt Romney is that man. You have all of our fate in your hands. Please use those hands to pull the lever in favor of Mitt Romney and other conservative legislators. Our country, our freedom, and our lives depend on you.
@John, we need votes for Gov Romney from all walks of life. I’m sure majority blacks support incompetent Obama, but we should welcome them just incase they’ve a change of heart for Gov Romney :-)
These two tyrants have so much in common. They both will be thrown out their dictatorial power soon. The relvolution will be televised with landslide on Nov 6!! hehehehe
I heard on the radio @npr yesterday that Wood county, OH is a very crucial county for Presidential election. See belwo quotes, link .We’ve a slight advantage, however, 60,000 are indpendents.
Please, Ohio! We can’t afford losing this election, especailly, indendents in WOOD COUNTY, OH. What’s preventing you from voting for Gov Romney? You guys are torturing us :=(
. Obama economy sucks, unempolyment, stagnant wage, national debt, high cost of living, high GAS price….
.Obama’s juvenial foreign policy is very dangerous. Obama couldn’t even keep the diplomats safe in the stinky consulate in Bengazi,Libya so, he’s not trustworthy for national security issues. His admin LIED! I don’t trust this prez. I don’t feel safe.
. Obamacare is a nightmare. The tax penality, the costs, invading our privacy, the bureaucrati process.
Are you really, really ready to lose your freedom, liberty? Please, don’t give up your liberty, freedom! Think about it!
“Since 1960, [Wood County] has predicted every election except for one,” says Wood County GOP Chairman Matt Reger. “This makes the county as important in the state as Ohio is nationally, meaning as Wood County goes, so does Ohio.”

Vote Gov Romney=Defend Liberty=Defend Individual Freedom!
America doesn’t deserve a dictator! If Obama wants to bypass our elected representatives in Congress and appoint czars to govern without restriction, lie to us about being AWOL in Libia while our ambassador was murdered, and ignore our debt crisis, let him move to Venezuela with Chavez! Our forefathers signed the Declaration of Independence to allow us to have freedom! May God bless us all to use our freedom to vote, and encourage our neighbors and friends too. AMERICA STANDS FOR FREEDOM, LED BY ROMNEY AND RYAN!
AfricanforRomney and Cathy in California. I, too, am a single, female California dweller. California is a vision of the entire USA in 4 years with Obama remaining the ruler at large. He is secretive, doesn’t know the meaning of transparency, and is adept at under the table deals that benefit himself either primarily or secondarily by greasing the palms of his financial benefactors. Witness the millions given through the Green funds to yet TWO more solar cell mfgrs. One in Portland, OR, who also–coincidentally–contributed $ 30K to Obama’s campaign coffers. This company closed the deal with the Feds on the day Solyndra(?sp) filed bankruptcy. The second company, located in Colorados, got $ 53 million if memory serves. Here is the kicker with Colorado: They don’t even have a factory yet but they surely have a warehouse filled with cash! I agree with both my fellow Romney/Ryan supporters above and emplore those of you in the swing states, PLEASE, PLEASE get out to vote and pick up a friend to go with you. Vote in neighborhood groups/family groups/employment groups but please do get out and VOTE! If there was ever an election to stand and be counted, this is it. I want to appeal to the women’s vote across the country. Obama patronizes women, he doesn’t care about anyone but himself and what gain he can garner. Whatever he needs or wants is what he makes his crusade of the hour. Cruise YouTube videos of Barry and you will see he is spouting all the same empty rhetoric today that he did 4 years ago. God Bless Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, and our beautiful United States of America!
@macklady,
Agreed. We must vote and let our voice heard regardless where we live. Obama and his admin is a total disappointment. What really concern me is that the Nov trunouts. Our priority as a nation dramatically has changed. We get enthusiastic for new iphone, right? The bottom line is, we shouldn’t allow ourselves for Prez Obama to get re-elected by default in 2012 AGAIN! Get out and VOTE!
Vote Romney/Ryan=Saving the sould of America!
