President Obama Files Lawsuit to Restrict Military Voting

Barack Obama last month filed a lawsuit to restrict voting of active duty military men and women. If successful, the right of service members to vote early will be taken away. (please sign petition below)

The article by Mike Flynn of Breitbart currently shows 85,846 Facebook recommends and over 1,000 Twitter retweets. Americans are clearly outraged by the shamelessness of Obama’s actions in this regard. Governor Romney issued the following press release today to further expose Mr. Obama’s impudence:

Mitt Romney today made the following statement on early voting privileges for military servicemen and women in Ohio:

“President Obama’s lawsuit claiming it is unconstitutional for Ohio to allow servicemen and women extended early voting privileges during the state’s early voting period is an outrage. The brave men and women of our military make tremendous sacrifices to protect and defend our freedoms, and we should do everything we can to protect their fundamental right to vote. I stand with the fifteen military groups that are defending the rights of military voters, and if I’m entrusted to be the commander-in-chief, I’ll work to protect the voting rights of our military, not undermine them.”

Mike Flynn makes the following points in his post two days ago:

I think it’s unconscionable that we as a nation wouldn’t make it as easy as possible for members of the military to vote. They arguably have more right to vote than the rest of us, since it is their service and sacrifice that ensures we have the right to vote in the first place.

If anyone proposes legislation to combat voter fraud, Democrats will loudly scream that the proposal could “disenfranchise” some voter, somewhere. We must ensure, they argue, that voting is easy and accessible to every single voter. Every voter, that is, except the men and women of our military.

Make no mistake, the Democrat lawsuit is intended to disenfranchise some unknown number of military voters. The judge should reject it with prejudice.

Please support our troops by signing this petition to ensure every vote by every woman and man in uniform is counted in November.
We will not allow Obama to restrict the rights of those who preserve ours!

Because Obama knows active duty military dislikes him and is unable to say it.

What else will this man (BO) do to undermine our civil and moral liberties. It’s deplorable the way he treats the men and women that have fought so hard to guarantee our right to vote. He won’t get away with it, now that some light has shed. Everyone sign the petition above.

Why the rule of law is always bad thing for Obama and his admin? Clearly the OH GOP chairman Bennett said “Nobody is being disenfranchised here, as Ohio’s voters who choose to vote early can do so by mail 24 hours a day, seven days a week or at early voting polls,” . What is so hard doing what Mr Bennett said? It is very unpatriotic and unfair dragging the military in this fight. For the rest of the citizens making an exception, offering special treatment just b/c they’re “hispanics, blacks, new citizen voters” is also unacceptable.

I don’t trust obama,he is tring hard to take the country they our forefathers and the many men and women that gave their lives to keep this country free and turn it into a communist muslim country. His problem,he never had to work for anything,it was always give to him by the government.

My son is active Infantry Airborne Combat Team, he agrees with Ms. Jody Ciriello’s comment 100%!!!

  6. LINDA DOWELL says:

Trusting Obama is like trusting a hungry dog not to eat your unattended dinner. He has turned his back on the constitution, and chooses not to support the servicemen and women. Trusting Obama is simply a bad thing to do.

Did you actually read the complaint as it was filed or are you just sheep?
    http://moritzlaw.osu.edu/electionlaw/litigation/documents/ObamaforAmericavHustedcomplaint.pdf
It clearly says, For these reasons and those specifically alleged herein, Plaintiffs seek a declaratory
judgment, preliminary injunction, and permanent injunction prohibiting Defendants
from implementing or enforcing the HB 224 and SB 295 changes to Ohio Rev. Code
§ 3509.03, thereby restoring in-person absentee voting on the three days
immediately preceding Election Day for all Ohio voters.
It’s not about disinfranchising military voters and doesn’t have anything to do with absentee balloting.
Election day in Ohio has been a joke – people waiting hours and hours and voting places having to stay open past the appointed hours. Early voting helps to alleviate this problem. But, hey, you wouldn’t actually want everyone’s votes counted, would you?

I feel Obama is a weasel…he will take any oppotunity he can to get a win. I feel he is all politician. There is not a credible “man for the people”. We must get the nation back on credible footing again…pay the bills.
