The Romneys sit down with Piers Morgan
Today in London, Piers Morgan interviewed Governor and Mrs. Romney taking the entire programmed hour. One piece of trivia: Morgan told Gov. Romney he is more English than Morgan is since Morgan’s ancestors come from Ireland and Gov. Romney’s from Preston, England. The entire interview was excellent. Following are some of the highlights of the interview.
Governor Romney mentioned two or three times he would not comment on current policies of the United States while traveling abroad out of respect for our current President. He did not mention President Obama by name.

The problem is that the media cannot handle the truth. Gov Romney is simply telling the truth. I don’t hear gaffes. I’ll watch the openings anyway the Brits way of bOring”fun”. Believe me, every time i travelled back from UK, i missed so much the Americans and i feel like hugging American strangers at the airport.
Good luck to Ann’s horse.
9/11 took place the September just before the SLC Winter Olympics. The 9/11 attack changed the Olympic planning in an immediate and drastic way. Romney had to plan for Olympic security like no one has ever done before ( one of several key Olympic First under Romney) and the games were an international concern in 2002.
Why wouldn’t Romney have similar concerns there in London? Sure he could keep his mouth shut. But a True Leader who cares risks embarassment for internal safety. Results: a little embarrassment–BUT NO REGRETS!!
I think Romney’s detractors have blown up Romney’s comments and it has taken on a life of it’s own. Cameron denies that he was referring to the UT Olympics in his ” middle of no where” comment but many are not listening. I hadn’t heard anything on Fox about it until Charles Krauthammer. What about Romney’s talks with Cameron…I heard that went well.
