It was reported this week that Mitt and Ann Romney were taking a three-day weekend in New Hampshire so Governor Romney could delve into the nuts and bolts of the V.P. selection process. Well, they also entertained a houseguest…
Oprah.
Yes, Ms. Winfrey dropped by their home at Lake Winnipesaukee to chat with Mitt and Ann. We know she is a huge Obama supporter, but won’t be “out there” campaigning for him this time around as she is concentrating on building up her network. Maybe The Gov’s speech at the NAACP prompted Ms. Winfrey to call…
The interview will be published in O, the Oprah Magazine.
I’m sure Oprah was warmly and graciously received.
Maybe she even played a game or two of volleyball…
Hey, it’s Saturday night and the feeling is right… for a quick, little ditty for Mitt.
Created by self-described Tea Party rocker Chris Holly, this short song is titled ‘Mitt Romney American Street’:
Holly wants us to “rock the polls” for The Gov on November 6, 2012.
I like it!
Thanks, Holly!

Hey, if you read the book “The Amateur” by Ed Klein, he devoted an entire chapter on Oprah and the Obama’s. If his book is acurate, the Obama’s, and Michelle in particular, did an Incrediably job disrespecting Oprah, and the suggestion and bidding of Valierie Jared. The President woulden’t even return her phone calls. Jared and Michelle are extremely jealouse of all other women who have Obama’s attention and like Jr. high girls do all they can to destroy all relations Obama has with any other women. That is the real reason you don’t hear a peep out of Oprah about Obama during this election. Infact Obama treated so many big time donners to in 2008 campaign this way during the last 3.5 years that is why he is having such a struggle raising money, these people have all closed their check books, the one person the all encountered and have in common while being disrespected is Valrie Jared. She is the real power behind the thrown, nothing happens or no one sees or talks to the president without her approval. She is an absolute diva, and the best gift to the republican party in sometime.
Hi Tim. I haven’t read ‘The Amateur’ (it’s on my reading list) but I did hear just a bit about the Valerie Jarrett/Michelle Obama/Oprah rumblings you refer to. It will be interesting to see what develops…
I’m looking forward to reading the interview!
they treated Caroline Kennedy the same way. she worked hard for obama, and then her phone calls were also not returned.
oprah really hurt her empire, and her credibility, by her endorsement of obama. we’ll see if oprah redeems herself with the interview she publishes in her magazine.
If Oprah, Caroline Kennedy and all of Obama’s other donors in 2008 had paid any attention to how Mr. Obama trashed Hillary, his comments trashing voters; “they cling to their guns and bibles,” and his arrogance since his election saying repeatedly, “this is a teachable moment,” they wouldn’t have been surprised by this. Regardless, people who support Obama won’t hold him accountable for being the jerk he is, now it will be Valerie Jared’s or even Michelle Obama’s fault. After all, this guy managed to deceive his followers on who he actually is by throwing his own grandmother under the bus, and swearing that in 20 years he had never heard Jeremiah Wright say anything approaching, “God damn America,” or that 9/11 was, “America’s chickens coming home to roost.” But as one supporter put, she and other will vote for him again because “he has nice eyes.”
I beg you you not to pick a safe VP. We need someone who will wake up the campaine that has been in the sewer. Where have you all been? You need someone with fight and excitement. Wake up, we have to win to save the country! Think of winning the presidency. That is all that matters now. I am out there and don’t see you fighting back. I am very disappointed. You have so much to run on and you are not taking advantage of it. Your adds are boring too. Get somebody to lead that is a street fighter. Fight! Fight! Fight! for us all
Romney/Rubio 2012!
Also, I suspect Mitt will take Oprah’s calls at the White House. :)
Well maybe I will buy “O” magazine for the first time to read this interview……..Her career literally started down the tubes the day she came out for Obama and got too political…….not just from the conservative side, but from Women that loved Hillary…..It was the biggest mistake of her life…….I personally know at least a thousand people that completely stopped watching her show and buying her magazine because of it!! And what benefit did she get? To be dissed??
Well, according to the media Oprah is loosing her wealth like so many other Americans under Prez Obama failed leadrship economy. It’s a good TV, print media rating. Who knows she may vote for Gov Romney an experianced, pro-business, pro- growth president.
Oprah may well indeed be worried about the economy like so many other millions of Americans, and about losing her wealth. I have always liked and respected Oprah. Would not blame her at all for turning her back (and checkbook) on the Obamas if she was treated as badly as has been reported.
I used to like Oprah for years, until she supported Obama! Never watched her again! I saw her as a person and not a color!I hope she has reevaluated her actions and come to the conclusio That she made a huge mistake! I also hope she found that the Romneys are very decent and respectful! And,like herself Being a successful Businesswoman,Mitt has been very fortunate to have been successful in business!
As for VP, No to Portman and Ayotte! Both. Have not said they are against LOST!! This is Bad! Any hesitation makes me wonder! We need West Rubio Jindal or Ryan!! I really like Jindal cause he has no reservations when confronting Obama face to face on the oil spill! He knows how to fight and I want a fighter! The other three are fighters! No matter what, I hope West, Rubio and Ryan are in your administration somewhere! And if you don’t choose Jindal, La will still have a great Governor!
Georgia,
Never care for Oprah and may be the last time i saw her show was somewhere in 1993 or ’94? I understand your point, but don’t forget the histroical aspect of the first “black” color president in USA. Persoanlly, i don’t vote a Demo Prez , but once Obama is elected, i was giving him a benefit of doubt, deep down i truely wanted Obama to be an excellent Prez and set a good example for future possible black Prez candidates out there.
Africans for Romney, I see your point of view! One day we will have that historical day! Right now we have to get rid of the mess in DC! Have to clean house! And maybe Romney will pick West and I would love him to be the President one day! And Oprah just might vote Romney! Go Mitt!
Well, the FAKE hope and change Prez Obama failed leadership ruined everything for future smart, intellengent, potential black Prez in this country. Of course, Obama is a self serving narcissit and he doesn’t care. It’s gonna take many decades to repair the damage he has done for every race.
Obama=A one TERM Prez!
AfricansforRomney – what are you hearing about the number of african-americans that will vote for Obama this year.
I love this. I want my country back and people getting jobs and the economy on an upward trend.
CA,
Ummm…You’re getting me in trouble here :-) The “African-Americans” are still in love with Obama. They’re still defending his crapy policy blindly. Obamacare is energizing the community in big time, though. Regarding the real “Africans”, Obama’s foreign policy has been a a big disappointment for most of them. The incompetent Prez Obama is in the wrong side in many African countries issue. My observation is that most of Africans are not enthusiasm this time around.Tthey say that “they’re going to sit out this election”, but who knows.
You are all so right it doesn,t mater what race the president is if he has not helped our country He needs to go.What scares me is his Socialist ties and ideas.I believe Rice would make a good pres. in the future.
Thank God we have a wonderful man running Go Mitt you are the man.
