New lows from Obama…
Deceptions once lobbed through Obama’s presidential peashooter are now coming fast and furiously through misinformation missiles – aimed at Mitt Romney.
Remember Obama’s Scheme Team memo last summer to kill Mitt Romney? They weren’t kidding. Here are the latest character assassination slams from Obama’s lie launchers…
Slam! Today we’re hearing from Nancy Pelosi and liberal talking heads that Governor Romney engaged in race baiting yesterday while speaking to the NAACP. (The avalanche of positive reviews for that speech has obviously rattled them.)
Slam! Now Romney could be a criminal. Yes, we could be supporting a felon! (*eye-roll*) From lie-launcher Stephanie Cutter (Obama Deputy Campaign Manager):
In a conference call with reporters this morning, the Obama campaign focused on this morning’s Boston Globe story arguing that Mitt Romney remained at Bain through 2002. The Romney campaign has called the story “not accurate.”
“Either Mitt Romney, through his own words and his own signature, was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the SEC, which is a felony, or he was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the American people to avoid responsibility for some of the consequences of his investment,” Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter asserted.
“If he was lying to the American people,” she added. “then that’s a real character and trust issue that the American people need to take very seriously.”
…
“If he’s legally responsible for everything that happened inside those Bain deals, seems to me that he’s also politically responsible for the consequences of those deals in terms of people losing their jobs, losing their pensions and their health care, and American jobs being shipped overseas,” she said.
Slam! Cutter also reiterated the too-stupid-for-words claim that Governor Romney is the most secretive presidential candidate since Richard Nixon. Another attempt to define The Gov by invoking a name attached with great scandal… Yes, the Obama lie launchers have obviously memorized the Alinsky playbook.
Slam! In pre-emptive worminess to negate positive press coming Romney’s way from his attendance at the summer Olympics in London in a couple of weeks, Cutter tried to get some bang with this one:
Cutter also took a swipe at his work related to the 2002 Olympics, commenting that Romney’s Olympic record was “less than wholesome, shall we say, in terms of the decisions that were made there, the contracts that were signed, and the basic operation of how Mitt Romney ran the Olympics.”
Slam! Obama’s lie-launchers are not giving up on the Romney is an outsourcer meme, either.
Yes, Ms. Cutter. LYING is a real character and trust issue the American people need to take very seriously. The fact that you and your boss are deceiving America IS BEING TAKEN VERY SERIOUSLY. So, stand back liars! Romney and team are firing back with explosions of TRUTH…
In a conference call Monday morning, senior staff said Romney’s surrogates would stop shying away from the word “lie” in responding to Democrats’ attacks on his business record, and plan to go on TV to call Obama a “liar,” the source said.“
They are very fed up with these attacks,” said the source.
…
To spread the message, the source said, the campaign is going to start circulating a document to press that compiles “presidential falsehoods and exaggerations.”

Two days ago Team Romney shared this: The Truth Hurts.
The Romney press shop today released ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER OBAMA CAMPAIGN FALSEHOOD:
“The Obama campaign must think Mitt Romney is Superman. He was, in reality, rescuing the Olympics by working in Utah 24/7 for the years the Obama campaign also alleges he was running Bain Capital. Even though the Obama campaign may be wrong about his involvement in Bain Capital, it shows that even they can admit Mitt Romney is a great leader.” –Former Governor John Sununu
Today, The Obama Campaign Launched Even More False Attacks On Governor Romney’s Business Career:
Today, The Obama Campaign Falsely Alleged That Governor Romney Was Managing Bain Capital After February 1999. “The Obama campaign said a Boston Globe report Thursday proves Mitt Romney hasn’t been truthful about when he left Bain Capital. The Globe story cites SEC filings to prove Romney stayed on as head of Bain Capital after 1999.” (Pema Levy, “Obama Camp: Romney ‘Wasn’t Telling The Truth’,” Talking Points Memo, 7/12/12)
Multiple Non-Partisan Fact Checkers Have Already Confirmed Mitt Romney Left Bain Capital When He Actually Did – In February 1999:
“The Massachusetts-Based Firm Notes That Romney Retired More Than 13 Years Ago.” (Steve Peoples, “Bain Capital Defends Record In Light Of Criticism,” The Associated Press, 5/16/12)
Factcheck.Org: “Romney Left The Helm Of Bain Capital When He Took A Leave Of Absence In 1999 … And Never Returned To Active Management.” “And after reviewing evidence cited by the Obama campaign, we reaffirm our conclusion that Romney left the helm of Bain Capital when he took a leave of absence in 1999 to run the Salt Lake City Organizing Committee for the 2002 Winter Olympics – as he has said repeatedly — and never returned to active management.” (Brooks Jackson and Robert Farley, with Eugene Kiely, “FactCheck To Obama Camp: Your Complaint Is All Wet,” FactCheck.org, 7/2/12)
“The Obama Campaign’s Recent Ads Thus Mislead When They Point To Investments Made By Bain, As Well As Management Decisions Made By Companies In Which Bain Invested, After That Time.” (Brooks Jackson and Robert Farley, with Eugene Kiely, “FactCheck To Obama Camp: Your Complaint Is All Wet,” FactCheck.org, 7/2/12)
The Washington Post: Governor Romney Left Bain Capital “In February 1999 To Become President And Chief Executive Of The Committee That Organized The 2002 Olympics In Salt Lake City.” “The Obama campaign pointed us to a series of SEC filings and news accounts showing that three companies within Bain Capital’s portfolio sent jobs overseas. Romney served as chief executive of the firm, which specialized in private-equity investment and leveraged buyouts during his tenure there. He left the company in February 1999 to become president and chief executive of the committee that organized the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City.” (Josh Hicks, “Does Mitt Romney Love Outsourcing?” The Washington Post, 5/4/12)
Governor Romney’s Massachusetts Ethics Forms Note “He Was A ‘Passive, Limited Partner [With] No Management Capacity’ In Bain Entities.” “But a 2002 statement the former executive filed with the Massachusetts State Ethics Commission said he was a ‘passive, limited partner [with] no management capacity’ in the Bain entities in which he held ownership.” (Josh Hicks, “Does Mitt Romney Love Outsourcing?” The Washington Post, 5/4/12)
The Washington Post: “Facts Essentially Exonerate Romney From Allegations That He Was Responsible For Any Outsourcing, Bad Deals And Layoffs That Occurred With Bain’s Companies In The Early 2000s.” “We’ve gone over this problem with the Obama campaign before, awarding three Pinocchios to a January memo the team released blaming Romney for job losses and bad deals that took place after the former executive had stopped working for Bain….These facts essentially exonerate Romney from allegations that he was responsible for any outsourcing, bad deals and layoffs that occurred with Bain’s companies in the early 2000s.” (Josh Hicks, “Does Mitt Romney Love Outsourcing?” The Washington Post, 5/4/12)
Even The Boston Globe’s Own Reporters Have Confirmed Mitt Romney Left Bain Capital In 1999:
The Real Romney Confirms Governor Romney Left Bain Capital In 1999. “In 1999, when Romney stepped down as the head of Bain Capital, the top tax rate for income was 39.6 percent, while the top rate for capital gains was about half that, at 20 percent.” (Michael Kranish And Scott Helman, The Real Romney, 2011, p. 162)
The Real Romney Was Written By Two Boston Globe Reporters And Edited By A Sunday Globe Editor. “The Real Romney was written by Scott Helman and Michael Kranish of The Boston Globe staff, and edited by Mark S. Morrow, the deputy managing editor who oversees the Sunday Globe and major news projects. It builds on the work of the many Globe staffers who have tracked Mitt Romney’s life and career over the decades, including those who contributed to a landmark seven-part biographical series published as he launched his first presidential run.” (Michael Kranish And Scott Helman, The Real Romney, 2011)
Today’s Attacks Are Just The Latest Falsehoods Spread By The Obama Campaign About Governor Romney:
KCNC-TV In Denver, Colorado: “Problem Is: These Ads Don’t Bear That Out.” SHAUN BOYD, KCNC-TV (CBS-DENVER): “The Obama campaign is going all out with its latest line of attack. It’s launched two new ads claiming Mitt Romney supports outsourcing American jobs. The ads are so similar I’ll examine them together.” … BOYD: “Bottom line, jobs are the top issue this election, and many voters are worried about the loss of American jobs to overseas companies, which is why the Obama campaign is spending millions of dollars to convince us Mitt Romney is part of the problem. Problem is: these ads don’t bear that out. I’m Shaun Boyd and that’s ‘Reality Check.’” (KCNC-TV, 7/10/12)
KLAS-TV In Las Vegas: “Misleading.” “Claim: A new ad endorsed by President Barack Obama that is airing on KLAS-TV Channel 8 attacks Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney by stating: ‘Newly published documents show Mitt Romney’s firms were pioneers at helping companies outsource their manufacturing to countries including China.’ … Verdict: Misleading, but not as much as a similar ad Obama’s campaign has run locally that is based on the same Washington Post story.” (Steve Kanigher, “Fact Check: Obama Ad Continues Attack On Romney-Bain Connection,” KLAS-TV, 7/10/11)
Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Steve Sebelius: “The Charge Itself Is Suspect.” “Second, the charge itself is suspect. The independent group FactCheck.org investigated the Post’s allegations – and the Obama campaign’s ads citing the Post as a source. Their conclusion: ‘ … we found no evidence to support the claim that Romney – while he was still running Bain Capital – shipped American jobs overseas.’” (Steve Sebelius, “No Reason To Outsource The Truth In Ads,” Las Vegas Review-Journal, 7/11/12)
Las Vegas Review-Journal Headline: “No Reason To Outsource The Truth In Ads” (Steve Sebelius, “No Reason To Outsource The Truth In Ads,” Las Vegas Review-Journal, 7/11/12)
FactCheck.org: “We Found No Evidence To Support The Claim That Romney — While He Was Still Running Bain Capital — Shipped American Jobs Overseas.” “But after reviewing numerous corporate filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, contemporary news accounts, company histories and press releases, and the evidence offered by both the Obama and Romney campaigns, we found no evidence to support the claim that Romney — while he was still running Bain Capital — shipped American jobs overseas.” (Robert Farley and Eugene Kiely, “Obama’s ‘Outsourcer’ Overreach,” FactCheck.org, 6/29/12)
FactCheck.org: “The Post Story Did Not Reveal, To Use The Obama Campaign’s Term, That Romney Relocated U.S. Jobs To Foreign Countries.” (Robert Farley and Eugene Kiely, “Obama’s ‘Outsourcer’ Overreach,” FactCheck.org, 6/29/12)
The Washington Post: “There Is Little In The Post Article That Backs Up The Obama Campaign’s Spin.” “Yet the campaign clearly seized on this report because their interpretation fit with a long-term “outsourcing” attack they have waged against Romney. One of their outsourcing ads before the article ran, in fact, earned Four Pinocchios. These new ads would not fare much better; there is little in the Post article that backs up the Obama campaign’s spin.” (Glenn Kessler, “Obama’s New Attacks On Romney And Outsourcing,” The Washington Post, 7/2/12)The Washington Post: “On Just About Every Level, This Ad Is Misleading, Unfair And Untrue.” “The Obama campaign fails to make its case. On just about every level, this ad is misleading, unfair and untrue, from the use of ‘corporate raider’ to its examples of alleged outsourcing. Simply repeating the same debunked claims won’t make them any more correct.” (Glenn Kessler, “4 Pinocchios For Obama’s Newest Anti-Romney Ad,” The Washington Post, 6/21/12)
(And I haven’t even mentioned the despicable cover illustration on Bloomberg Businessweek…)
A few days ago Ann Romney said she was bracing for what was ahead. Good advice, Ann. Time to brace up. With Team Obama’s Chicago wild weasel thuggery politicking to detract from the President’s miserable, failed record, we’ll need steel armor. He’ll smile at the American electorate while slipping the blade between our collective ribs…
Good thing we know how Obama operates.
Good thing we have the truth.
Good thing we’ve got a little over three months to help Americans get the wax out of their ears.
BOOM! Let’s do it!

Everytime Obama attacks Mitt, in the end it will crush Obama. Obama has nothing else to run on. There is no record or success. Obama is attacking Romney with bullets flying from every dark corner of the galaxy. Stay aloof, stay positive on message, work to show people a plan for the future, and show why Obama’s plan would generate a catastrophe for America. Accusing Mitt Romney of a felony isn’t going to stick. But we knew from the start, Obama would hit Mitt with everything he could. Obama planned on making this an ugly campaign. So no surprise here.
Another day and another lie-Obama- Mitt stay positive keep talking about the economy, jobs and jobs and more jobs. Viva el Mitt!
Mitt, Do you remember a rock band called “10 Years After”? They played at woodstock…the reason that I bring this up is that they had a song called ” I’d love to change the world” perhaps you could play that song as you roll over pictures of Obama…the best line in the song is “tax the rich, feed the poor, ’til there are no rich no more. I’d love to change the world, but I don’t know what to do, so I leave it up to you” You would be the BEST President since Kennedy! BTW The Kennedy’s were rich, so was Roosevelt, ( both of them) ! Bring that one up! There are pictures of Jack and Jackie on their sailboat, and Teddy on his horses! I do not remember anyone complaining! Besides you can afford your own vacations, WITHOUT taxpayers money! ( MRS OBAMA goes to Spain, So Africa, ETC )
I’m really glad the Romney campaign is finally coming out and naming the duck: “LIE”
Many famous “organizers” used the lie to great effect in their speeches, rhetoric, and propaganda. One was Hitler.
Hitler? Oh Vic.
Poor ole Obama. He can’t fish and he can’t cut bait ! Keep digging that hole, cause you are getting in deeper and deeper. What a fake. Romney is the best thing to us that has happened. I just hope he gets there in time. God Bless America
Independent: If you are hitting me for using the name Hitler, I would ask why? There have been many charismatic leaders in world history that were able to get the vast majority of their followers to believe completely false premises. All I am saying is that Hitler was one of them.
Lying to the masses is a very important and very effective strategic ploy. It has been used countless times in world history to incredible influence.
If your answer is the cliche, “That is what all politicians do to get elected,” then I disagree. It does not have to be that way at all and I believe Governor Romney is a stand-out exception.
Independent:
Vic is not saying that Obama is as evil as Hitler. He is only saying that Hitler used deceptive rhetoric and propaganda that misled his people. Obama is using those same tactics. He lies about his own intentions, his record and the record or intentions of any opponent that is a threat to him. How can we follow a leader that deceives us. We don’t know his real intentions. Hitler never told his people that he wanted to over take Europe or eliminate the Jews while he was gaining power. Of course, Obama is not Hitler, but he may take us down a path that this country will regret for decades to come.
Another lie not mentioned: The Democrats claim that Republicans don’t care about people with preexisting conditions. Not true….the Republican were prepared to go the table with a plan to cover those with preexisting conditions. Romney supports insurance that covers preexisting conditions with the exception of those that have never bought insurance in their life time. He has stated this in his stump speeches many times.
