Romney Considering Woman as VP Running Mate (CBS Interview)

Early this morning, CBS published a brief segment of an interview of Mitt and Ann Romney from New Hampshire.

In this CBS interview, the reporter asks Ann Romney:

“Do you think he should nominate a woman?”

Ann replies,

“We’ve been looking at that and I’d love that option as well.”

I am in 100% agreement with Troy regarding Rubio as the VP pick….I think it would energize the base, Rubio relates to both the younger and mature base and is very articulate…I think this ticket would be energetic and just what our country needs at this time.

Wait a minute, is this a joint presidency? I don’t like the “we” responses :-) Mrs Ann input greatly appreciated however, he should be responsible/in charge answering these questions.

With respect, I disagree. It is a well known fact that just about every president has as his closest advisor his wife. There is no issues whatsoever that GMR shares information with his wife. GMR has not been successful in his life and career alone. In fact, I argue that he has been amazingly successful in his life’s pursuits and in his career precisely because of her advice and support.

  4. Jim Tills says:

Mitt has repeatedly said he wants to have a Vice-President who could step in as his replacement immediately with the experience needed to handle the governance needed in the Presidency. This indicates a present or past State Governor as the best choice. Nikey Haley, Susana Martinez, Sarah Palin, Jan Brewer—all of these great current and past State Governors would do. Condi Rice, Michelle Bachman, and other Republican leaders would serve very well but have not had the governing experience that he indicates would be one of the main factors in the selection of VP.

    Vic,
Sharing info with his wife or taking advice is not a problem. She’s a good asset. I love Mrs Ann. I think she’s great, but in this interview she’s out of steps. She was cutting him off, interuptting him. I t could be just me, but it was very bad interview for Gov Romney image. I never like when Hillary and Mrs Obama act like we’ve to listen to them.

  6. Lynne Kohler says:

I love that when Ann and Mitt were interviewed together he let her do most of the talking. I would hate it if my husband and I were interviewed together he did all the talking. He gets the limelight most of the time. It was a loving thing to do to let her do the talking this time.
