Romney: “Appreciate Blessing of Liberty, America’s Greatest Days Yet Ahead”

★ ★ ★

Governor Mitt Romney today released the following July 4th statement:

Today we celebrate 236 years of the world’s greatest design for liberty and self-government. As we gather to enjoy food and fireworks, let us also take a moment to pay tribute to the patriots who signed the Declaration of Independence — and the brave men and women who have fought to protect our freedoms through every generation that has followed. With so many around the world still consigned to tyranny, the Fourth of July is a time to appreciate the blessing of liberty and be thankful that we are Americans.”

‘Romney For President’ also released this fantastic new web video The Best of America:

“Everywhere I go, I meet people who represent the best of America. They are hopeful, hard-working, determined and proud.”

“These Americans are quiet heroes. They raise strong families, run our factories, and grow our food. They coach Little League and soccer. They serve on the PTA. Their volunteers help our neighbors. And they dream big dreams…”

“The vision and the values, the character and the can-do spirit that you find in our small towns have made America great.”

This is the America known for thriving farms and factories. For prosperous towns and cities and great colleges and universities. For solid communities and churches. All of them born out of American optimism; nourished and sustained by hard work and a belief that the American future is one of the limitless possibilities and that opportunity is an American birthright.”

“There was a time – not so long ago – when each of us could walk a little taller and stand a little straighter because we had a gift that no one else in the world shared. We were Americans.”

“We knew it without question. And so did the world.”

“The spirit that has brought this country together.”

“Those days are coming back. That’s our destiny.”

“From now until November, our campaign will carry a simple message: America’s greatest days are yet ahead.”

A vacation in his own home, all paid for from his pocket and not the taxpayers! A well-deserved few days with his family. Who can complain about that? Enjoy it Governor.

  4. Renna says:

The very presence of Governor Romney brings a smile to my face and a tenderness in my heart for his goodness and his dedication to America. We must do everything we can to assure that he is our next President. He cannot do it alone.
