Today, our family spent the afternoon at a beautiful beach called Aliso Creek in Laguna Beach, CA. Next to us was a couple and a friend of theirs speaking a foreign language I could barely hear. When the two men (both about 30) stood up and were chatting, I approached and asked where they were from. They said, “Latvia” and told me they were speaking Russian. One has lived in the U.S. for eight years and the couple was visiting America from Latvia. I asked the resident if he is American and he told me, “Not yet.” I asked him if he could vote today, whom would he vote for between President Obama and Romney? With no hesitation, he said, “Oh, Romney!” I asked why he would not vote for President Obama? He said, “I think he has been president long enough. He really hasn’t done much and it is time he goes away.”
Is there much else to write about? No. Check out Michael Ramirez’s latest political cartoon just below.

Thanks, Vic.
I agree! “… he has not done much it is time he goes away”. LOL! This guy gets it. Obama is a bad karma! Everything what Obama touched brought us more poverty, more debt, unemployment, economic uncertainity and more misery.
What is very puzzling me is that majority of blacks, hispanics, Asians, eastern europeans are socailly conservatives by nature and yet GOP don’t make any effort to get these groups vote.
A week ago Obama the great manipulator was telling at APAICS crowds( (this is his direct quote) “When I think about Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, I think about my family. This is a community that helped to make me who I am today. It’s a community that helped make America the country that it is today.”Come on people, Obama is now black, black and white, and Asian too. He’s dividing this country into pieces for his political gain. He even using the military by saying that “Barack got your back” phony messages. It’s increasingly disgusting me his shrewd tactics.
The choice is simple. Who do you TRUST?
Obama the divider Vs Gov Romney the Uniter?
Obama the job killer Vs Gov Romney the job creator?
Obama the amature Vs Gov Romney exprianced, Authentic Leader?
The choice is clear.. ROMNEY NOVEMBER 2012!!!!
It’s interesting that those who want to be citizens of this country know more than the people that were born here. They know what this country is all about and what it really means to be an American. So when that gentleman from Latvia was asked who he would vote for, it was obvious, it would be someone that he learned about that would be the model American, and that epitome is Mitt Romney.
@Stan
Sadly, I think people who are born in this country take freedom as granted. For many of us who came this country thousands of miles away, the driving force is “American Exceptionalsim”, “We’re one nation under GOD”, freedom and opprutnites.
Voting is a beautiful empowerment one can have. I’m a naturlized citzen so, you’ll find me early in the morning the first line to vote even in the local levels (i’m a non- Demos voter but sometimes i’ve no choice so, the local Dems get my blessing). I don’t want America to change or to be another country. I want American exceptionalism to remain the same.
Obviously my candidate Santorum is out of the running, so I must choose someone else. Please explain why Mitt is fit to be commander in chief. The whole Goldman saks donations to Oblamer and Mitt really are a concern for me and my husband.
Sally in Texas,
First off, THANK YOU for visiting MRC to take a look and explore. This website is a grassroots website, NOT associated with the Romney campaign. Some people mistaken our team as somehow being connected to the campaign; we are not.
Second, I am not familiar with any specific donations to any candidate, but by what you wrote, I presume you are upset that GS, a large corporation gave GMR a donation. I may be missing another reason that I am not aware of. Both candidates receive donations from entities of all types. Any donation directly to a candidate is very limited in size. You might be referring to a donation by GS to one of the super PACs. If so, neither Obama or Romney has control over who donates or how their donations are spent.
As to commander in chief. Great question. Looking back in history, more often than not, very few POTUSs are ever truly ready to be commander in chief. We all know that Mr. Obama was not and still is not. I could write many pages here as to why Gov. Romney is ready to be commander in chief. Without hesitation, I can say that Gov. Romney’s experience and knowledge of foreign affairs is superior to any person that ran for office this cycle with maybe the exception of Gov. Huntsman. Without hesitation, no other candidate possesses the amazing depth of executive experience that Gov. Romney has. There is simply no comparison. But most importantly, Gov. Romney is a very gifted, strong leader. Leadership is what is lacking in our nation at the POTUS level.
As you know, our military is always led and directed by a civilian. Often, that means the civilian has no prior military experience. It works well however when the chief executive is a strong leader. Gov. Romney is that.
He has traveled to Afghanistan during war to meet with commanding generals and he has met often with senior military officers to be briefed on many current national security issues, etc. He is a long time, personal friend of the current PM of Israel, Netanyahu who also has briefed Gov. Romney on the Iran situation.
In my humble opinion, rarely has a presidential candidate been as prepared to be commander in chief as Gov. Romney. No other presidential candidate is as studied on the topic of radical Islam and terrorism than Gov. Romney. I have followed him for the last 6-7 years and he is constantly reading important sources to understand the threat of terrorism. But most of all, Gov. Romney is a talented, gifted leader. If you want a glimpse of the kind of POTUS he will be, read his book on the Olympics.
I highly recommend that you carefully review the following three articles, posted as links just below. Especially the one with the leadership table to see the past experience of Gov. Romney.

Vic,
I can be wrong but i think SallyinTX connecting the Goldman & Sachs mortgage service foreclosure issues with their campaign contributions to candidates. One point, it was a big issue for Gingrich. Of course, it was unsuccessful accusation.
