Romney VIDEO: Obama Promised to End Govt Programs That No Longer Work

ROMNEY FOR PRESIDENT has released an excellent new video about one of Obama’s broken promises.

BROKEN PROMISES: SPENDING

But I will also go through the federal budget line by line, eliminating programs that no longer work and making the ones we do need work better and cost less, because we cannot meet 21st century challenges with a 20th century bureaucracy.” – Barack Obama, August 28, 2008

  1. Kevin Banks says:

    Hi Mitt…
    Will you please tell us again how investing in Wall Street is investing in jobs other than the jobs of your broker and brokerage house?

  2. Stan says:

    I work for the government and have been for 37 years. My wages put me just above the poverty line. I don’t see how GSA can get away with what they are doing because we have a tight leash on us. I totally agree that government waste is not acceptable and the GSA should be dealt with by the full extent of the law.

  3. AfricansforRomney says:

    Yaye! Obama the commander of “Divisive” in his own words. I love this b/c Obama surrogates are running around spreading the usual propaganda saying that “Gov Romney will be eliminating govt programs line by line”. They want to portray Gov Romney as a mean guy.
    How odd, Obama’s media reporting that Fed Gov Spending is not an issue for many voters. Really? The economy is Bush fault, Fed Gov spending is not significant issue. Yeah Right. They’re so simple, it’s pathetic!

  4. Greg Stapley says:

    @Kevin Banks
    Kevin, I will give you my own example. In 1999 my partners and I started, from scratch and with next to nothing, a little business. There were just six of us, taking no salaries and working long hours, initially funded by a very small investment from a few friends and family members. By 2006 we had a business that was sound but need capital to grow. In 2007, despite the many and expensive hurdles imposed on us and our financial supporters by government regulators, we went to Wall Street, where we met some of the nicest, smartest and hardest-working people I have ever known in my 30-yr career. THEY BELIEVED IN OUR VISION AND AGREED TO FUND OUR FUTURE. Today, due in part to Wall Street’s financial support, our boring little firm directly employs over 11,000 Americans, and we buy millions of dollars worth of products every month from other American companies who also provide jobs to our fellow Americans. I hope this real-world example clears things up for you. And by the way, in case you think I’m some heartless capitalist who makes useless goods and lives off the labor of others, our company has been voted a “Best Place to Work” by our employees, and our business provides healthcare services — often for free — to the indigent elderly and others who need low-cost, high-quality care.

  5. David Christiansen says:

    Ok, the economy is not Bushes fault. The President doesn’t control the economy! He has influence over it which tell me how Obama signing over TRILLIONS of dollars to foreign countries is doing US any good? We are further into debt because we are trying to “spend our way out”. It really is that simple and Yes we have OBAMA to blame for that. Did Obama bring our troops home? NO they are still over there fighting a pointless war when the people don’t want us there. I was in Afghanistan so before you start, shut your mouth because you know nothing. Did Obama fix the economy? NO, how many people do you know out of work? The figures are lies and they actually include those who are receiving unemployment as EMPLOYED for their statistics.
    Did Obama fix the energy crisis? NO, in fact his “green energy” is worse for the environment just from the harvesting of the precious metals and refining them it puts off more damage to the environment then a Fossil Fuel based vehicle could ever do. Yea sure new environmental standards for vehicle emissions reduce the output of the carbon emissions that they are talking about but what they don’t tell you is all of the other crap being pumped into the air by those, as well as causing worse gas mileage, which means more gas is burned up meaning more emissions to do the same amount of work.

    @ Greg Stapley that is a perfect example of how Mit’s idea can help and will bring back to life the American Dream. Thank you for your story btw I appreciate someone that has the courage to stand up for whats right instead of bending over and allowing the corrupt to “stick in in our rear”.

    I Support Mit Romney 100% of the way. Any of you who stand for Obama should all be charged with Treason just as Obama needs to be. Since when did being a US President mean give all of our hard earned money away to people who didn’t work for it, in our country and outside of it. All of you who want something for nothing I truly hope you die horrible deaths.
