Fenway Park, Monday
What about this segment from Hannity Wednesday night? As I was thinking of a title for this short post, all kinds of descriptions came to mind. The one that kept coming to my mind was “SMACK DOWN!” — Malkin style.
We try to stick to brief video clips here on MRC, but I decided to post this 6:58 video because a) it is so good, and b) it so typifies the deception coming from the Left in this country right now.
Tamara Holder was asked by Hannity this question, “Cite to me one area of success, in the economy, where we are better off than we were four years ago?”
Holder answers the question with complete confidence. And she is totally wrong. Her answer indicates she is one of three things: 1) Ignorant, 2) Mistaken, or 3) Lying. Since her comeback to Hannity was one of absolute confidence (dare I say arrogance?), I believe she intentionally posits a lie — absolutely!
But why does she lie? Because many TV viewers believe the lie. It is happening all the time in the old media. Obama’s team knows that a large number of voters will perform no primary research to prove or disprove what they watch on television. If Obama surrogates can make false claims with impunity, it doesn’t matter if they are later proven to be false — the damage is done when the voter hears the lie in the first place.
Oh, and one of the best parts of this clip is Tamara Holder’s typical condescending rhetoric as she used this phrase, “The average person does not really understand . . . “ Oh really?
We, “the average” people, simply don’t understand what? That you Tamara are elitist and are doing everything you can to deflect and distract for Mr. Obama?
FACT: Obama took office January 2009 when unemployment was at 7.8 percent; we are currently at 8.2 percent. She answered the question by saying unemployment is lower. My recommendation to every visitor to this site is to listen very carefully to every “fact” quoted by any liberal that is blindly bidding for Obama between now and November 6th. They are not above the blatant tactics exhibited last night by Holder. BTW, see three related posts here, here, and here.
Note: Malkin is over the top in stating Mr. Obama is not a nice guy and for correcting Gov. Romney in this regard. Gov. Romney is a gentleman and a statesman and Malkin is angry that the old media is always giving Obama a pass in his attacks of those who are working hard for America. I forgave her.
“I always say the truth is best even when we find it unpleasant. Any rat in a sewer can lie. It’s how rats are. It’s what makes them rats. But a human doesn’t run and hide in dark places, because he’s something more. Lying is the most personal act of cowardice there is.” ~ Nancy Farmer, The House of the Scorpion

I do not forgive Malkin, she is fascist. You have to do it her way or you are doing it wrong. I have been a fan of hers but no more. I unfollowed her on twitter and feel so much better for doing so!
I definitely want Governor Romney to be the candidate that remains on the high road and I think he can still hit Obama very hard from there. Some Conservatives will always find something to pick at the Governor about, but I am beginning to think it’s time for his supporters to start questioning just how nice a guy Obama really is. I agree that Mitt is a gentleman and I like that he doesn’t get personal, but I think he can now step away from the need to tell people how nice Obama is.
Malkin and others who want Mitt to stop calling Obama a nice guy, are too tied up in their emotions to see the brilliance of what Mitt is doing. Here’s an analogy to illustrate: Two doctors compete for the same business in a small town. One spends tons of money building his image as “a nice guy.” How does the other respond? He can take every opportunity he has to say that Dr. A is not a nice guy. He might persuade a few people that he is right and that they should become his patients. Or, he might simply say, over and over again: “Dr. A IS as nice guy, but the data shows that if you go to him for medical care, you’re not going to get better. In fact, you might just die.” The patients will flock to Dr. B in droves if that is his message because Dr. A cannot refute his record.
I liked the interview, especially Malkin, who is young, smart, and sober-minded person.Sorry, there are so deluded people, like Holder, who interfere and creates the false thinking, based upon the unreality.I have suggestion to be found and remove. They attack without thinking, this is not normal. As an example I would give,if we ask them how much is 2+2,would say 5,because they are so ordered!!!!!!!
ekmutah…You’ve nailed it.
I don’t understand Malkin’s concern about Romney calling Obama a nice guy. I also didn’t understand Hannity’s concern about Romney refusing to call Obama a socialist. Although I think Hannity has put his differences aside and is supporting Romney at present in any way that he can. What is important is that Romney explains the fundamental differences between his policies and Obama’s as ekmutah explains above.
Tamara Holder seemed angry and very defensive. I don’t know if she believed her statement about unemployment.
Wow, Tamara Holder is an articulate dim bulb. But those that believe her are worse (ahem: below average). It must be depressing to know that your base is so ill-informed on every issue. Unless you have a God complex (I can solve all your problems, you don’t need to think for yourselves. Thinking is too hard), I don’t know how you could live with yourself. It really is condescending, but the “average” folk of the left are too oblivious to catch it.
There really should be a litmus test before we allow people to vote. What about making them demonstrate minimal competence by going through the process of securing a legitimate voter ID…
Of course, then the ACORNs of the world would simply round up the left’s sheeple and do all the “hard” work on their behalf. Right back were we started.
Will our democracy survive? This election is not a cross roads, it’s a U-Turn. And if we don’t reverse course soon, we’ll be past the point of no return.
Malkin is entitled to her oppinion & although I don’t agree with her on everything, I do agree with her that Mitt needs to stop calling Obama a nice guy. He’s not nice. Nicely shredding our constitution. Nicely destroying our economy. Nicely deconstructing our military.
Could not agree more with Frozone on the need to reverse course immediately.
I should not have been but was shocked at Tamara Holder’s arrogance and combatedness in forcefeeding the lies she was desperately trying to foist on listeners who might believe them in ignorance. Leftists, like her, are shameless in their subversion of truth.
Unfortunately, there are so many millions of persons that embrace the sham arguments spoonfed by the democratic left. The question isn’t as to when most liberals (including ACORN-vetted citizens and non-citizens) will wake up to the lies, the question is “if” they will. Among these are so very many Hispanic and Black persons, the demographic groupings Democrats normally pander to, promise things to, and lie to the most. It is a tragedy to witness and experience because although the Hispanic and Black cultures support traditional family, Christian, and conservative values, they are led down a primrose path by the subtle craftiness and brazen lies foisted upon them by persons like Obama, Holder, Rosen, Bob Beckel and Juan Williams (from FOX News) and other Democrat talking heads.
Mitt and those supporting him have a difficult task ahead but with God’s help, we will win!
Wow, you all have incredible insight and life experiences! Thank you for all the comments.
Love the Facebook comments too!
Thank you.
Holder is condesending to everyone who isn’t her idea of and elite. Sometimes I think she just likes to hear herself talk. Mrs. Romney is about as honest, real and poised as any woman I’ve ever seen. What a great example to the world of American women. What a great First Lady she will make!!!
