Rick Santorum Wants You to Vote for Mitt Romney

It’s not the campaign. This is Rick Santorum. I think everybody knows, nobody puts words into my mouth. The words out of my mouth were that if you want a conservative as the nominee of this party, you must vote for Mitt Romney. ~ Rick Santorum

Oh, that’s just too good!

    He will be repeating a similar strain of words in a few months.

  2. Linda says:

    This was last campaign. He did say it.

    I don’t like these types of ads. If i were Gov Romney, i don’t use my name for approval this type of ad. No clue what Santm was referring to. Give it to the Super PAC and let them play with it.

    I think the point is clear that Santorum flip/flopped on his message that Romney is the conservative best choice for POTUS. Nothing has changed about Mitt Romney since Rick endorsed him, and now he’s saying that he’s the “Massachusetts Moderate”? I think it’s a great spot!

  5. Kirkha: I agree.

    AfricansforR: I don’t mean to disagree with you. What I think a short video like this one does to those who support Santorum is get them to think. If they really think through the last four years, they will discover that Gov. Romney has in fact NOT changed one bit. If that is true, then what changed? Either of two things changed with Santorum:

    1) He did not know what he was talking about four years ago when he supported Gov. Romney and therefore his judgment is terrible — And if so, why would any voter choose a person with terrible judgment, or

    2) Gov. Romney is the same person with the same record and it is Santorum that changed.

    #2 is correct. Santorum has changed for political reasons that are obvious. It is a brilliant piece in my opinion and perfectly and very simply exposes Santorum for what he is: A political opportunist.

    this was put together in 2008 and it really happened.

    @Vic Lundquist
    I see your point. I think it does work for new viewers.
    We’ve already heard in 2012 this types of ads from ’08 endorsments, also his 100% approval of Gov Romney conservative values with some radio talk show host, though. This point, Santourm have handed out lots of materials to make powerful political ads.

    It’s mind boggling to hear in ’08 ” a conservative-conservative candidate gov Romney” and then in 2012 reversing him to a “MA moderate”.

    Santourm/Gingrich=Zero integrity!
