GREAT COMMENTS by Governor Romney.
I wish people would take more than 45 seconds to research the man rather than believe what the everybody in the media is saying to define the man. Very few people really want to do the research to find the truth.
Rather, they prefer to listen to people like Palin who also does no research and prefers to parrot others.
The attacks from Sarah Palin and some other so-called conservatives is beyond my understanding. It seems to me that people are repeating these slogans with their eyes and ears closed : “Romney not conservative because he come from the liberal state,” “people cannot trust him,” “he doesn’t connect with people.” By watching his interviews, stump speeches and CPAC speeches, I found him to be a sincere person with great personality and leadership that matched his records (personal and professional.) It will be a big mistake if we don’t nominate Romney to go against Obama.
LOL!!! Santorum’s ad against Romney is nothing but pure whining: “Romney is attacking me”. Using a childish sketch and a crude caricature of Mitt, with no substance. That’s what I call a personal attack.
But Romney’s PAC ad is straight up numbers which are a matter of public record, no personal attacks, no “mud slinging”, just the facts as we all can verify to be true. Not only that, but to this day Santorum is DEFENDING earmarks, as if they were a good thing. How can he say Romney is playing dirty politics by pointing out something Santorum himself is confirming? How is it attacking, saying that Romney has successfully run Businesses, the Olympics and a State, while Ricky hasn’t? It’s a fact! Everyone knows it!
But don’t count on the media to point out the obvious differences in the degree of negativity employed by the campaigns. They are the ones who are blowing the “anybody but Romney” sentiment out of proportion. If it were true, how could Mitt possibly have a big lead in the number of delegates? The talk about Santorum as if HE were the front-runner! Truly ridiculous!
I’m becoming more and more nauseated by the new defination of “conservatism”. Why Gov Romney is appearing on Fox?? He should accept only the Fox business news or may be the morning lighter shows or John Gibson (i like him a lot). I would think Fox viewers are polorized by now by all types of opinions.
How come Palin didn’t refused VP offer from a moderate John McCain? In my opinion, McCain lost ’08 election b/c of her. Sarah Palin please, shut the f…k up.
Independents for Romney!!!
One thing that I am tired of not being clear is the comparison between Romneycare and Obamacare. Many out there will write a list of things that are similar between the two and then stop there. Wouldn’t that be like comparing a bear and a mouse by listing out the similarities of them both having hair, sharp teeth, two eyes, a tongue, four legs, claws, and a voracious appetite. Of course there are similarities, but when I am walking through the forest, it is the differences that tell me whether I am in danger or not. Things such as height, weight, temperament, and diet. Likewise, the major differences between Romneycare and Obamacare are lightly passed over, but make a huge difference. Here are four major ones: Bipartisan – the vote for Romneycare was something like 198-2. Popularity – Most citizens of Mass. wanted it. Fiscally responsible – no new taxes and small impact on the budget. Finally, the 10th ammendment. Whether you think an individual mandate is a good idea or not, or whether someone from North Dakota thinks that Massachusetts did a good thing or not is frankly irrelevant. The fact remains that States are able to do things that the federal government can’t. The President should be in the job of executing and upholding the Constitution, not going against it.
