Senator John McCain Stands With Mitt
Mitt Romney today announced the support of Senator John McCain and his wife Cindy. “Few Americans have sacrificed so much for their country and it is an honor to have Senator & Mrs. McCain’s support,” said Mitt Romney. “For his entire life, Senator McCain has been a committed public servant and is an example for all those seeking higher office.”
“Few Americans have sacrificed so much for their country – it is an honor to have Senator & Mrs. McCain’s support,” said Mitt Romney. “For his entire life, Senator McCain has been a committed public servant and is an example for all those seeking higher office. Senator McCain has been a leader in the fight to stop the growth of government and make government more accountable to taxpayers. With his leadership on cutting spending in the Senate, we can rein in out-of-control federal spending, and restore confidence in government. I look forward to campaigning with Senator McCain and working with him on the issues important to our national and economic security.”
Announcing his support, Senator John McCain said, “The time has arrived for Republicans to choose a presidential nominee; a new standard bearer who has the ability and determination to defeat President Obama and the strongest commitment to returning America to prosperity and defending our interests and values overseas. I’m pleased to have made my choice, and to endorse Governor Mitt Romney for the Republican nomination for President.”
“These last few years have been a terribly tough time for Americans, and President Obama’s policies have failed to address effectively the problems of weak economic growth and persistent joblessness that have caused so many sleepless nights for so many Americans,” continued Senator McCain. “The Obama administration has ignored the most serious challenges threatening our future – a fifteen trillion dollar debt, and the job destroying effects of a complex, unfair and incomprehensible tax code, bankrupt entitlement programs, and unnecessary government regulations. We can overcome these challenges as we have overcome every challenge in our past, but only if our country changes leaders.”
“Governor Romney offers us the commonsense reforms of government policy that are necessary to turn around our economy,” said Senator McCain. “His record of accomplishment in government and business are a testament to his leadership abilities. His commitment to a strong defense and principled diplomacy will earn the world’s respect for American leadership.”
“I had the privilege of running against Governor Romney for the nomination four years ago, and I know he is a tough competitor,” said Senator McCain. “I have no doubt he is the best candidate we can nominate. And I am proud to support him for President.”

Ironic that McCain came close last time to picking Mitt for VP.
Give em hell Mitt!
That is so great! No matter what you think of McCain from four years ago, he became the standard bearer against Obama and he ran hard against him and MoveOn.org and the Facebook viral support. Romney’s strong support of McCain back then is paying off. Gingrich, Santorum, Perry, and Huntsman can say whatever they want to about McCain, but the fact is, THIS IS A HUGE ENDORSEMENT.
The 2008 Republican standard bearer endorsed Governor Romney. That is really important.
GMR’s strategy is unfolding brilliantly. None of what we are witnessing right now is an accident or luck. We are experiencing a world class orchestra. GMR has assembled the top musicians of America as he conducts this symphony.
This is all thanks to Romney staying humble after bowing out in 2008, getting behind McCain, and supporting the nominee. It’s time to cash in all the IOUs. It’s a good thing Romney didn’t win last time because nobody was going to beat the Obama “wonder.” Now we just wonder how he managed to fool so many people into believing he could do what he said he would do. Let’s put that embarrassing part of history behind us. This is Romney’s time.
I’ve been watching Chris Matthews on MSNBC and I am MAD. Can you tell me how to write to them? They don’t seem to have a place to contact them and I would like to tell Mr. Matthews that he is not a journalist, but a slimey propagandist! He said that Romney put in the Mass. Health Care Plan that the state pay for abortions, no talk of how the legislature put a lot of things in the Mass Health Care Plan that Romney tried to veto, or the fact that that was already on their laws. How dare he LIE and say it was Romney’s idea. His whole take was that Romney did all of these liberal things and therefore is not a conservative and spewed that very irresponsably to the entire nation. Then made fun of the Iowa win saying it is just the same old win with no progress from last year. He never concedes that this is a whole new playing field. Also he kept shouting that Gingrich was going to come after Romney for all of Romney’s negative ads by the PAC. He never once mentioned that Paul, Bachman, and Perrry, gave very scathing ads against Gingrich first. Oh no, no mention of their very negative ads. Theirs are the ones I remember.
So I can’t stand to listen to this Chris Matthews. He is a jerk!
If you know how to forward this on to him, I’d appreciate it.
Robin: Waste of time. Why? MSNBC has a total of 231 viewers worldwide. They no longer have any journalists over there. They all are Obama cheerleaders. Most intelligent people view Matthews’ diatribes for what they are: Leftist propaganda.
Robin, I wouldn’t waste my time. Besides, since only the liberals bother to listen to Mathews, it’s possible a few of them will decide to vote for Mitt instead of Obama!!
