WATCH THE OFFICIAL ENDORSEMENT HERE
Mitt Romney has been gathering an avalanche of endorsements from newspapers, business leaders and state and national political leaders. The latest endorsement comes from Vice President Dan Quayle who will make his announcement later today that he’s supporting Mitt Romney in this election:
Former Vice President Dan Quayle is endorsing Mitt Romney for president.
Republican officials on Monday told The Associated Press that Quayle plans to announce his support for the former Massachusetts governor Tuesday afternoon.
Romney has an event scheduled Tuesday in Paradise Valley, Ariz., where Quayle has a home.
Quayle served as vice president under President George H.W. Bush. He was also a House member from Indiana for two terms and a U.S. senator.
A GOP official familiar with Quayle’s thinking says the former vice president is backing Romney because he views Romney as the most credible candidate in the race. The official requested anonymity to discuss Quayle’s endorsement ahead of the official announcement.
It is my understanding (I could be wrong) that Dan Quayle doesn’t give out endorsements very often and tries to stay out of the national spotlight. As a result, the fact that the former Vice President is willing to endorse Mitt Romney is quite significant since Dan Quayle rarely endorses candidates.
We will post the details of Dan Quayle’s endorsement as soon as we can get it right here.

UPDATE
Romney’s Qualities Make Him Best Candidate For President”
By Dan Quayle
The Arizona Republic
December 6, 2011
As Americans observe the wreckage of our country over the last three years — continued high unemployment with 300,000 people last month dropping out of our workforce, the loss of respect for America around the world, fewer opportunities for the next generation, a government that refuses to control spending and faces bankruptcy — it is obvious that this presidential election is crucial for the future of our great nation.
Because of President Obama’s failed leadership, Washington has become dysfunctional. We need a leader from outside of the Washington establishment. We need a president with a proven track record of innovative thinking and a proven ability to make tough decisions and implement them.
Next year, the choice for Americans is whether to stay the course or to acknowledge that the “President of Hope and Change” has to go. Republicans must choose the candidate that can best defeat this entrenched incumbent who is the darling of the fawning media. This person must be ready to lead and a person of character. This person must be willing to take on the Washington establishment, the media and all big spenders in government.
Quayle then elaborates on four criteria he uses to determine who to support for president: leadership, character, conservative philosophy and electability.
His conclusion:
There is only one candidate in the field that meets all of these criteria. It is Mitt Romney. He has proven over and over again that he is a leader. He has demonstrated he is capable of making tough decisions and turning things around. He is a man of integrity. He understands budgets and financial markets. He balanced budgets and met a bottom line. He is strong on national defense and has a deep love of the principles that make America great.
Mitt Romney has what it takes to be a great president of the United States, and that is why I enthusiastically endorse him for president.

Gov. Romney, I hope this note somehow makes it to you. I’ve worked hard for you, in 08 and now. Given money and more importantly, given my time on blogs and making calls for you and your campaign. I’m tired of your passive campaign. America is starving for leadership, it wants a fighter. A true leader doesn’t back down from any challenge or anyone. You need to be on every TV network, I don’t care if it’s conservative or not. Challenge these people that question you. You made a mistake by not challenging Newt to a one on one debate and made a bigger one by not accepting his invitation. DON’T BACK DOWN. I live in Florida now but was raised in Michigan. Your father was loved by Michiganders. I asked my grandfather why that was, he told me that Gov. Romney said what needed to be said and would not back down from the tough choices or from anyone. There is a reason why people like JFK and Reagan. Get down and fight, make some headlines and be available to every network. Show that you want to fight for this and we will follow you. Don’t hold back, challenge everyone and leave no doubt. You are playing it safe, you are playing to lose. Get out of your comfort level and show America that you will fight anyone that challenges you. This is it, this is your last chance, make it happen!
Jayde is it officially Quayle season.
So.Fla take something for thos nerves brother.
Give em hell Mitt!
Romney is a head of all the other candidates as far as endorsements. He works hard for them. I would like to see these endorsements help Romney’s poll numbers. It’s interesting that Gingrich’s lead does not seem to be helping his endorsements. Not that I think a lead should help endorsements.
I need some help at: THE HILL.com
LOOK WHAT I FOUND ON THE NET: http://www.realchange.org/gingrich.htm
I totally agree with SoFlaJohn. Mitt needs to be bold and upfront in every media outlet. Stick to what you believe in whether it’s popular or not. Fight and show some passion, defend what you stand for vigorously and challenge them. Do not back down from Newt. Your resume is at the top of ALL candidates so fight and show passion and compassion for what you believe in. I’m working the fones this Saturday for your campaign and I hope to relay your passion to all citizens of this great country but you need to go on ALL media outlet and show a side that people haven’t seen. Fight a good fight and let it all out there for them to see.
Newt surge will take republican to repeat their lose as John surged brought Obama in to the white house to bring America down. If republican don’t trust Mitt, the loser in 2012 is not Mitt,it is the American people cause by the republican, enough is over enough, look at the country what happened? unemployment begun at the end of 2008 till now they can’t find a new job,and still don’t know when will they get a job? more debt, more welfare, more EDD,more housing voucher, more starve, more poor, more spending, more tax,but less income, less job, less employment so how can the country survive? how should the nation lead the world? these problems are cause by republican that gave the presidency to Mr.inexperienced Obama,if they respect Mitt and nominee Mitt,Mitt is the president so America will be better off now,but the republican still don’t educated and don’t responsible for their mistake, worse than that they still want to repeat one more mistake to lose again, what happened to you republican? only Mitt has the leadership, the experienced, the capable to defeat Obama and turn these masses around,Mitt has Reagan leadership style,Reagan strength,Reagan character and presidential that Obama and democrats most scare, please stand by the true, the result, and the proven record, not by the good talker like Obama so republican will be the winner and the American people will go back to work again in 2013.
