Thank you, Gov. Chris Christie.
The top New York financial boosters of the pugnacious New Jersey governor helped raise $375,000 for Mitt Romney’s campaign during a lunch at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel yesterday.
The donors — including billionaire Ken Langone and former NYSE chief Richard Grasso — initially backed a Christie bid for the White House but switched to Romney when Christie declined to run.
Romney even got some pinstripe love. Yankee President Randy Levine was one of the 140 donors kicking in $2,500 to help the former governor of Massachusetts, the home of Red Sox Nation.
(emphasis added )
Christie said he was going to start generating cash for Romney.
He’s a man of his word.
He’ll be hosting another fundraiser for The Gov on December 12th.

Jayde another great astoria by you.
Keep cashing in the Mitt chips!
I wasn’t always a Mitt fan in the beginning. Then I was switching through the channels on my TV and stumbled into Mitt Romney’s presentation at Michigan State University where he discussed his stance on Romneycare and Obamacare. He explained his stance on Federalism and that it was a state issue and he had no intention of strapping every state with Obamacare. I found the briefing again on the internet and listened to it several more times.
The media went off on Mitt Romney really bad. They did everything including trying to through him under the bus.
I had always been a Chris Christie fan because he is doing in his state what we in Oregon only wished our politicians would do regarding the Union. So Christie was always in my heart. Chris showed more spunk against the Unions then anyone else ever had. A trait I really admire in him.
On the same day Mitt was being destroyed by the media, Chris Christie stated publicly that Mitt Romney spoke very plainly to the American people regarding the health care issue.
Chris Christie’s comment meant that he felt Mitt Romney was honest with America. Since that time, I’ve been a solid Romney supporter. It doesn’t surprise me a bit to see Chris Christie helping Mitt in this way.
Mitt should strongly consider him for VP if he’ll take it. Such solid support is hard to find.
Chris,
Thanks big guy.
For sure you will be on my short list.
Fondly,
Mitt
