The Important Q2 Fundraising Deadline is June 30th 11:59 PM EST: The MittRomney.com Store Opens Just in Time

On Thursday, June 30th, we reach this year’s first major fundraising deadline. The Obama campaign along with his Democratic allies plan to run a billion dollar operation to reelect the President.

Recently, President Obama said, “I’m extraordinarily proud of the economic record that we were able to produce over the first two and half years.” Yet, last month, over 20 million Americans were out of work, underemployed, or had just quit looking for work — not to mention the fact that our nation faces record deficits and a national debt that will soon surpass our GDP. Extraordinarily proud?

We need a president who understands how markets work; we need a president who knows how jobs are created; and we need a president who will focus on fixing the economy from day one. Clearly, Obama isn’t working. The campaign needs our help to put America’s focus back on the American people.

By making a contribution before Thursday, your support will help show that this campaign is ready to challenge Obama and the Democrats who wish to continue down the same path we’ve traveled the last two and half years.

Donate to the campaign today and help Mitt change America’s course and spread Mitt’s message and vision for a working America.

Gov. Romney cannot run a successful campaign without our help and others like us. Join the team today, stand with Mitt, and donate. Click here to contribute today to receive a Stand with Mitt t-shirt for a friend or family member.

Also, not to be confused with the MRC Store which helps offset the costs of hosting this site, the Official Mitt Romney for President Campaign Store has been launched! Some really cool stuff there and since your purchase counts as a donation to the campaign, today and tomorrow are great days to make your purchase to pad Mitt’s Q2 fundraising totals.

Big mistake, Mitt. You should not have signed any pledge and stayed somewhat Independent of these fringe groups. Can’t vote for you now.

RE: Romney added his signature to the pledge this week, joining such presidential contenders as Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, Pawlenty, former senator Rick Santorum, former House speaker Newt Gingrich and businessman Herman Cain in signing the pledge that is backed by 32 advocacy groups.

  2. Louise says:

So Republicans are willing to allow Obama another 4 years in the White House just because Mitt signed a pledge. Get REAL people… Mitt is the only one (presently) that can beat Obama!

  3. Crystal says:

.. seriously .. the trolls need to change their meme .. no one truly believes that a person would go looking for a different candidate over one pledge or one statement or .. or .. but the trolls think these statements will get us all upset. I’m sure “Marilyn” thought the SBA pledge was fine and dandy. Pragmatic people will seriously look at the whole package: relevant executive and economic experience, experience of success in turning around failing entities, experience in the private sector, public sector, worldwide stage, and then look at their ideas.

  4. Marilyn says:

I am not a troll, I’ve had a Mitt 2012 sticker on my mailbox for weeks. I am an Independent who was seriously considering Mitt for President as an alternative to Obama. I was looking at him as somebody who would be his own man and owe his allegiance first to the USA, not to the party. He’s made a strategic mistake here, one he’s going to regret. It’s a strategic mistake because it shows that he’s worried about Michele Bachmann, who may yet win the nomination. Just because I’ve said that I can’t vote for him now, doesn’t mean that I’m going to vote for Obama either. I don’t think any pledges are “fine and dandy.” If he were to get boxed into a corner and have to break one of these pledges, for whatever reason, he’d then be a weak president. I don’t think the party would treat him, like they treated Reagan after he raised taxes. Reagan saved social security and he didn’t think it was fair for corporations to get all those tax breaks so he eliminated a lot of the loopholes. Had Reagan taken any pledges or said anything like “Read my lips, no new taxes?” This is going to lose him a lot of support from moderates and Independents.

  5. @Marilyn
I seriously doubt you’re going to bolt over this pledge. And whether you do or not, it was still the right thing to do, regardless of whether one feels these are “fringe” groups that are supporting it. Balancing the budget is in no way a radical idea, except that it hasn’t been done for ages. That’s precisely why I want to send Mitt to Washington.

  6. Marilyn says:

Yes, the budget needs to be balanced. But I don’t want a president whose hands are tied going in, for any reason. He or she needs to be free to make whatever decisions he or she determines are necessary for the good of the USA. I truly thought Mitt had the strength of character and the integrity not to buy into anything that would tie his hands in any way. I knew that he would have to do something for the base to win them over, but not these pledges. I’m disappointed because I honestly think this is going to cost him support.

  7. Marilyn :

I’m disappointed because I honestly think this is going to cost him support.

With any decision you lose some, and you gain some. I think this is a net gain.

  8. Marilyn says:

Time will tell. My husband says to not give up.
