came from God,
I call him…
Dad!
Father’s Day is a special time to reflect on the many ways fathers enrich the world. Thanks to the many fathers whose loving guidance – through teaching, playing, and example, has helped bless the lives of their children and strengthen their families. More than ever, in these tough economic times, we honor the many sacrifices of fathers.
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle’s flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it … Dad.

I know there’s FAQ and on-the-issues sections, but the organization isn’t the best. I think we need an “As Gov. of Mass” section so we can point people to what he did while he was the governor. Thanks.
My father passed away June 14th, 2010. He was as fine as they get. He insisted all six of us (three boys and three girls) get a college degree. He also, along with my mother, insisted we all get along. He hated alcohol and was not a fan of tobacco (I like a little of both) despite working in tobacco until he was drafted. Everyone back in the day worked tobacco in NC. My oldest sisters did as well which makes me laugh. I was spared. We still all get along and are going to have dinner this evening.
He was a good man. I miss him.
