UPDATE by Jayde:

Romney corrals hundreds of fundraisers to dial-for-dollars from Las Vegas

In the wee hours next Monday in Las Vegas, when many Sin City visitors are still sound asleep or just going to bed, an army of top fundraisers for Mitt Romney will start dialing for dollars with an eye toward raising millions for his presidential exploratory committee.

Hundreds of fundraisers have signed up for the money harvest in Vegas. The fundraising marathon, which will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, is shooting to corral between $2 million and $3 million, according to Romney fundraisers.
[...]
So far, Romney has assembled the biggest network of GOP bundlers of the numerous potential GOP candidates. Romney fundraisers said his committee is trying to raise between $15 million and $30 million this quarter, an ambitious goal since donors can only give a maximum of $2,500 each for the primaries. For the entire primary season, Romney fundraisers are looking to raise a minimum of $50 million.

When Romney announces his formal campaign, as he’s expected to do by the end of the second quarter, donors will be able to give a total of $5,000, half for the primaries and half for the general.
[...]
Romney, who launched his exploratory committee last month and has been meeting periodically with big bundlers in several cities, is hoping to get top fundraisers to rope in between $25,000 and $50,000 each by the end of the second quarter. Since April, Romney has traveled to several traditional fundraising havens such as New York, Washington and Los Angeles to meet with small groups of bundlers and rev them up.

In 2007, Gov. Romney’s campaign raised a record-breaking $6.5 million in a single day! Can we help break Mitt’s record this time around? We want to do our part to help make this a huge event for Mitt. PLEASE click here to make your pledge and we’ll contact you on that hopefully record-making day so you can be a part of history!

Let’s ALL help to make this a fantastic day for Governor Romney!

Not one penny until he answers the jobs question.

I’m considering donating $20.12 (but I live in Canada). However, if I donate it to this site here the money can end up in Romney’s funds right and that would be legal would it not?

    Maryilyn,

Mitt has answered these questions in his book… you may want to pick up “No Apology”. If you agree with Mitt, why not help his cause and vision. Who better than him to champion the nation?

I don’t think that would be legal. However, anything you donate to this site will surely help Gov. Romney. It wouldn’t fund his official campaign, but it would help the site pay for operating costs.

    Marilyn.
I appreciate the sentiment. I have turned down numerous donations to the RNC since the last election cycle seeing just how wholly inefficient they have been in championing ANY conservative ideal, at least by my estimation.
But I wouldn’t lump up Mitt Romney in that light or any light for that matter.
Mitt Romney has been answering that question since before his campaign 3 years ago – what was the problem? The media and the DNC shut him down. You would think the answer would be “nobody was listening”. But the truth is – “everybody was listening” (remeber Frank Lutz?) everybody was listening intently, including the Democratic political machine who noted early on that – this guys if left unchecked is going to win BIG. They had to target him , put a huge bullseye on him and they did. And that became the content of everyone’s focus instead of what he was saying and doing. Today we are NOW living the product of that intellectual dishonesty and interestingly our Constitution hangs on the balance.
We cannot afford to do that again. We need to listen and then do our own thinking this time around.
We need to listen substantively to the content of his dialogue and that of all good men and women and then measure that critically and objectively to arrive at results. We cannot afford to worry about what others may be thinking. If enough people repeat what the democrats and the liberal media wants you to believe (ie. Romneycare is Obamacare or unelectable or Mormon or too good to be true) then that lie that suggestion becomes your reality. (A lie repeated often enough becomes reality – remember Hitler. Clinton understands this and so does Obama – just look at the birth certificate constitutional requirement and the label “birthers”)
The great thing is the flip side is also true. That is – if enough people say the truth namely that he is electable, that his record speaks on it’s own, and if we qualify him on his merits and people practice listening to his solutions for our nations problems you might be, for the first time, pleasantly surprised to find that we’ve had a leader in our midst willing to (again) do the hard work of representing fairly and honestly, uniting people to arrive at solutions, to protect our nation and it’s foundational heritage as well as our economy and workforce.
So if he answers the question (again) what then…? what are you really willing to do? Because I’m willing to bet that no one prospective candidate, in either party, can answer that question more effectively and sincerely than Mitt Romney.
Question is what are you willing to do to secure an honest, Conservative leader for our Nation? once he answers your questions and actually satisfies your doubts – what then?

    Deg,

I have read it. But not everybody has. He should meet with the Eagle Forum editors, or something.

  7. Nina Russell says:

I would like to help with the telephone tree if It is possible.

  8. Marina says:

I agree with what Marilyn had to say. Interstingly enough, today at Conference it was quoted from Isaiah that in the last days before our Saviour’s return, good will be called evil and evil will be called good. We see, read, and hear evidence of this everyday. I think Mitt will do a great job of putting the interest of our nation and its citizens before his own. He seems to be one of the only front runners that has been married only once and is truly committed to family values. We are so lacking in this area among so many elected officials.
    GO MITT 2012.
