Cue the complaining from Ron Paul’s fans.
Side note though, this has Trump and Palin beating Obama by larger margins than Romney or Huck. Did I read that wrong? Maybe the numbers are in the wrong place.
If it’s correct, it makes me question the polling pool.
If it’s incorrect, well yeah…
Yeah, well, I’m not going to vote for anybody but Romney and I think a lot of other Reagan Democrats and Independents are going to feel the same way as we get closer to the actual nomination drop-dead dates. Trump isn’t serious, Palin cannot win the general and Huck isn’t serious either. Trump, Palin and Huck are all in it for self promotion.
The poll is showing that Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee both beat Obama in Florida by five points. Mr. Romney gets 48% to Obama’s 43%. Mr. Huckabee gets 49% to Obama’s 44%. Donald Trump and Sarah Palin both lose to Obama. Donald Trump loses 48% to 40%, and Sarah Palin loses 51% to 39%.
The other interesting result is that Tim Pawlenty has pulled ahead of Sarah Palin in the GOP contest. Maybe people just aren’t voting for her because she seems to be out of the race. I like Sarah Palin, but I don’t believe that she will run. Her voters already seem to be going elsewhere, and yet her declining numbers don’t put Mike Huckabee in the lead.
BOSMAN, do you have the Palin and Trump numbers backwards? Shouldn’t it be
Donald Trump 40/48/12 (-8)
Sarah Palin 39/51/10 (-12)
?
The article has been updated. Thanks for the heads up, guys!
Hi Ric,
Obama’s numbers are the second set, you read it like: (Candidate/Obama/Undecided)
So Obama beats Palin by 12, Trump by 8.
This is good news for the moment; however, Florida’s primary is a long way off. Still, it it encouraging that Mitt is ahead in this vital Southern state.
