It’s Christmas 2010… May Yours be Very Merry! from Mitt Romney Central

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” ~ Isaiah 9: 6

Welcome Christmas 2010!

We relish a reprieve from life’s rush and unpredictability as Christmas reaches out to wrap its beribboned arms around us – cloaking us in time-honored traditions and faith. It’s a wondrous time to reflect on the miracle of the birth of Jesus Christ and the glory of his life…

St. Luke, chapter 2 read by Claire Bloom:

When Love Was Born sung by Mark Schultz:

Sarah McLachlan sings Silent Night:

May you be refreshed and renewed during this holiday season. And, may the timeless message of Christmas fill your hearts and homes with joy and sustain you throughout the coming year.

Merry Christmas!

I have Christmas Surprise to share. I have a son who is 19 years old. He is in his first year of college. He works part time for a small company- An Auto Group. He details cars and runs errands. This summer he will be going away for two years to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His boss wanted him to come into work on 12/23. He told Caleb that he just needed to drive a car to Provo and go to a store in the mall and deliver this letter. He handed the letter to the guy at the counter.
The gentlemen handed the letter back to Caleb and said “It is for you.”

Here is what the letter said: MERRY CHRISTMAS! We would like to thank you for all of your hard work over the past six months. We appreciate the professionalism that you bring with you to work every day. We are excited that you are choosing to serve a mission. All of us here have served some where in the world and we know how wonderful the journey you are about to undertake will be. We would love to support your decision. For your Christmas present we would like to buy you a new suit to take with you on your mission. Jason is our friend and owner of the Mr. Mac you are currently at. He will help you in choosing and sizing your suit. We appreciate you and all the hard work you do ( minus the accident). Merry Christmas

It is events like this that make Christmas so special. BTW, the accident that they referenced occurred a few months back. Fortunately, it was a minor one but they have not let Caleb live it down.
