Media coverage highlights of Governor Romney’s excellent Values Voter Summit speech Sept 17, 2010:

USA Today: Romney on Obama: ‘Abject failure’

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, who certainly is doing nothing to discourage speculation about another presidential run in 2012, accused President Obama of “exploiting the economic crisis rather than solving it,” in his speech to the Values Voter Summit.

“He used the crisis as a cover to push his liberal agenda,” Romney told the crowd,

NECN: Mitt Romney slams Obama on economy, campaign pledges

Today former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney called Barack Obama the most divisive president in history. He harshly attacked him, calling Obama out on his campaign promises, economic policies, social values, and executive strategy.

“But he has succeeded in one way,” said Romney. “He has united virtually all of America against him

    @Kevin Kuzel
    Haha, gage? Is that some new made up word?

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/gage

    Gage: something, as a glove, thrown down by a medieval knight in token of challenge to combat

    I’ve never seen and heard anyone more Presidential! Mitt is a truly remarkable man with whom you know is a natural born leader. However, (Mitt I hope you’re listening) if he is going to win this campaign he has to stay positive about his opponent no matter how difficult. America does not like to hear disses on anyone else. There is a way to prove ones point about the problems that have occurred without pointing a negative finger at your opponent and dissing him. Most of the time you don’t need to talk about your opponent at all you can just talk about what has been implemented that has hurt. There is a difference between saying “this new health care plan has hurt and this is why” instead of “Obama has hurt”. Many people love Obama still so he needs to work with everyone. This is why I believe Mitt lost in the last election. He was very positive about everyone and he had a lot of support from Americans. Then when McCain got under his nerves he became more feisty and began campaigning negatively. Mitt can show he’s strong and a powerful example of healing leadership without dissing!

    Civics 101 — Every line powerful, especially the idea that freedom is in our nation’s DNA. Hard hitting criticisms of Pres. Obama’s failed, hurtful policies. “Washington is assaulting America’s values.” is a true description of the growing mood of this country. Romney nailed that one. His conclusion that “…we choose to hold to our founding values…” expresses my heart and mind. Spread the word that Mitt is battling for us and our God-given freedoms. Let’s stand behind this man this time and not waffle. He is a great patriot and a qualified, unifying leader. GO MITT!
