Q. What did it take to get five Obama Administration officials to leave D.C. to travel to Arizona for a meeting with Governor Jan Brewer today?
A. Years of being ignored by the federal government including six unanswered letters sent from then new Gov Brewer to Obama over 18 months’ time, thousands of illegals flooding into and through Arizona, horrific criminal activity including assaults, burglaries, kidnappings, rapes, and murders, Phoenix earning the eye-popping title of Number Two Kidnapping Capitol of the World (second only to Mexico City), non-stop human and drug trafficking, miles of trashed landscape, unsustainable costs to AZ taxpayers to fund illegals’ incarceration, housing, education, and medical care, signing of carefully written AZ Senate Bill 1070, cries for boycotts and protests, calls for counter-boycotts and support, vilification of Arizona, a White-House-pulpit scolding of Arizonans for wanting to reclaim their state by Mexican President Felipe Calderone, other states considering similar laws, Mexico filing a lawsuit against Arizona, a public-pressure-induced 20 minute Obama/Brewer meeting in the White House, a stingy promise for aid, another missed deadline, and unrelenting pressure from Brewer. That’s all.
Q. What does Gov Brewer want?
A. What nearly 85% of Americans want – a secure border.
Obama is not only dragging his toes on when the ‘up to’ 1200 National Guardsman and $500 million (not near enough) he pledged will be available to help secure AZ’s border, he is planning to sue Arizonans for doing the federal government’s job. (Gov Brewer learned of the intended suit in a rather unusual way.)
There’s more than toe-dragging going on. On June 18, 2010, Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) revealed to Town Hall attendees at a meeting in North Tempe, AZ, that during a one-one-one Oval Office meeting with Obama, while discussing securing the southern border, the President said, “The problem is, … if we secure the border, then you all won’t have any reason to support ‘comprehensive’ immigration reform. In other words, they’re holding it hostage. (Gasp!) They don’t want to secure the border unless and until it is combined with ‘comprehensive’ immigration reform.”

Hot Air: Does it occur to the White House at all that “undocumented” workers are breaking the law themselves? They shouldn’t be exploited, but then again, they shouldn’t be here to be exploited, either. At the same time that the Obama administration contemplates a lawsuit against Arizona to stop them from enforcing immigration law, they’re working on a program that supports the people breaking that law, all while unemployment continues at a high rate long after their stimulus plans have run aground. Instead of enforcing the law – which is, after all, the raison d’être of the executive branch — they’re conspiring to help people break it, and with our tax dollars, no less.
Q. Is this another step nearer to a possible Obama executive order for amnesty?
A. Several Senators are concerned enough that they’ve written a letter to Obama challenging him to answer questions about issuing mass amnesty if Democrats can’t secure enough votes for a bill in the Senate.
We shall see what results from Team Obama’s meeting with Governor Brewer today. Not having room in this post to address all points regarding illegal immigration, our feeble borders, and legal immigration, I conclude with a final question for Team Obama…

A. Yes.

It talks about how illegal Immigration is devastating to the Black community & how our bringing in so many scientists, doctors & other healthcare providers is keeping other countries underdeveloped, instead of educating Americans to provide these services. I support what Governor Brewer! THe Federal Government should be sued 1 for NOT doing their job, securing our borders (BUILD THE BORDER FENCE) & enforcing our Immigration Laws!
I hope that every American, regardless of where he lives, will stop and examine his conscience about this and other related incidents. This Nation was founded by men of many nations and backgrounds. It was founded on the principle that all men are created equal, and that the rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened. All of us ought to have the right to be treated as he would wish to be treated, as one would wish his children to be treated, but this is not the case.
I know the proponents of this law say that the majority approves of this law, but the majority is not always right. Would women or non-whites have the vote if we listen to the majority of the day, would the non-whites have equal rights (and equal access to churches, housing, restaurants, hotels, retail stores, schools, colleges and yes water fountains) if we listen to the majority of the day? We all know the answer, a resounding, NO!
Today we are committed to a worldwide struggle to promote and protect the rights of all who wish to be free. In a time of domestic crisis men of good will and generosity should be able to unite regardless of party or politics and do what is right, not what is just popular with the majority. Some men comprehend discrimination by never have experiencing it in their lives, but the majority will only understand after it happens to them.
What we need is to get abunch of retired military, retired police officers to take there vacations along the border and startmaking citizen arrest. Airizona does allow you to carry a concealed weapon and you also have the right to bear arms and the right to protect yourself. Can you Say Ready! AIM! FIRE!!!
What is the argument here? every single alien “BROKE THE LAW!” Our Government, Republican & Democrat, have allowed the invasion of 30 million criminals and is the largest invasion of any Nation, in direct violation of Article IV, Section IV of our Constitution.

“All Men are created equal”! The founders had it right, when attempting to form a perfect union and they also knew that they were not there yet but knew we one day would get there. It is my contention that this AZ law is not constitutional and will fail when challenged (unless, of course, they keep adding more amendments), pretty funny for this so called perfect law, that many internet bloggers claim it was copied “Word for Word” from the Federal law, which I frankly do not believe, if it was then no amendments would have been made, right?, of course, keep those lies coming.
As for the undocumented workers, as was attributed to Ronald Reagan “It’s the Economy, Stupid”. When the economy is good you say let’s all celebrate “Cinco de Mayo, my brothers” but when the economy is down “it’s all your fault, you damn immigrant”. This too will pass, the real problem is the narcos, arms and people smugglers and that’s what the focus should be on.
Don’t you find it funny that no one ever voted for Brewer for Governor, she is trying to get elected on the back of undocumented workers, it’s all about politics, do not be fooled. In the last few months Busy Brewer has passed S.B. 1070, no permit conceal weapons law, the famous Birthers law, banning Ethnic studies law, (could she be behind the Mural in Prescott, Arizona) and if history is a lesson and if she can read, she should look up Arizona’s House Bill 2779 from two years ago (which failed when legally challenged) and the craziest one the boycott of Martin Luther King Day, not wanting another holiday, how crazy is that. I believe there is an undercurrent to their enactment of new laws, they real love following a distinct pattern. Poor Brewer, in an attempt to gain sympathy, in an interview she first said her father had died in Germany fighting the Nazi in World War II (which ended 1945) and we find out her father was never in Germany and died in California in 1955 (watch her play the victim card, again) and then she went to Washington and came back empty as always, poor dear.
