Is Scott Brown Giving the First Endorsement of 2012?

Scott BrownRegarding the 2012 presidential election Senator Scott Brown says “I’m going to support Governor Romney.” It was Brown’s spokesman Colin Reed that later added the caveat that Brown “will be with [Romney] again if he chooses to run.”

It would seem that Scott Brown is certain that Romney will run and that Brown is more than likely to endorse him. Brown did add that “I am going to see who is out there in the field and then make my decision,” but I take that more as an effort to appear not focused in on any one candidate yet. Brown’s words certainly sound like an endorsement to me, although not an official one. But then again Romney is not officially running yet, is he?

Senate Election Night Flashback: Scott Brown thanks Gov. Romney

Scott Brown: I especially want to thank a very special friend, whose encouragement from the beginning helped show me the way, and show us the way to victory — and that is former Governor Mitt Romney. Thank you Governor.

  1. I think its to early, and mitt romney may not have what it takes to beat obama and i am not sure that he nots just like obama when comes to health care and overturning the bad policy. he brought romney care into light look how that work out. as of now i am with holding support.

  2. Chris says:

I disagree, Michael. Romney is the best we have in the GOP. He can beat Obama with facts, figures and better hair.

  3. Paulee says:

I also disagree….Be sure to get the facts on Mass. care…Both Scott and Mitt still stand by the plan…Did not raise taxes….Mandate is able to be initiated by states….Not by FEDS…emergency room care costs everyone..Cheaper to have everyone insured…I am not the expert but have picked up this much…Dies it need attention? Mitt has been gone for four years….Romney 2012….

  4. Ryan says:

I think a wet paper bag could beat Obama in 2012…seriously!!! Sure there are 30% – 40% of voters who think he can do no wrong, but everyone else in this country knows he’s done.

  5. roger/elena porter says:

We will support Mitt Romney for President and Scott Brown for Vice-President if they will run for Presidential election in 2012, These candidate is the best that we have to change the goverment like Ronald Regan done.

  6. John says:

Romney supported Scott Brown when he ran for State Senate. He even sent volunteers to work for Scott when no one knew who he was. No way does Scott Brown not endorse Mitt Romney. Also, no way Scott Brown runs for President in 2012 if Mitt is running.

  7. Chris says:

roger. Brown needs to focus on getting re elected, and holding the seat for 6 more years. It’s too shakey now for him to do more than what he is presently doing.
