It’s the “Who Would You Want As VP to Mitt Romney” Poll

To be honest, speculating and debating about what would be the best combo of President and VP is not really my cup of tea. All I know is that I want Romney on top of the ticket, and his VP pick would be his choice. BUT… since Pres./VP combos seems to be the greatest topic of discussion and interest on our Facebook posts I’ve decided to through this poll out there to give our readers some meat to chew on. Even so, I will still be interested to see the results.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Have at it!

Note: I left Dr. Paul off intentionally to avoid having the poll over run. This is meant to be a poll of who Romney supporters would want as VP. If you really want Paul as VP please indicate that in the comments.

  1. Fred says:

Ron Paul for sure. He reminds me of Jefferson in many ways.

But on here I chose David Petraeus. Not interested in an establishment politician.

  2. Fredrick B says:

My choice would definitely be Col. Allen West.

  3. Fredrick B says:

Could you add Allen West to the list of possible VP candidates? The man is AWESOME!

  4. Dave Polson says:

It would be nice to know a little about each of these choices, there are many of them I’ve never heard of, and I’m not to thrilled with the ones I have.

  5. Rebel Ross says:

I’m not saying these are great or that they aren’t, but I like to see Rick Santorum, Michelle Bachman, Gary Johnson, Ron Paul, Allen West, Herman Cain, Paul Ryan, and John Thune on the list. I know we’ll never think of everyone on the list, but I’ve seen at least some coverage of all of them, so that’s why I am suggesting them.

  6. Justin says:

I think Bob McDonnell should be on the list.

  7. Craig says:

I would have voted for John Thune, were the option available. I think Huckabee is a smart choice though to consolidate the evangelicals, possibly appeal to Democrat Christians and avoid the split that happened last election between Romney and Huckabee. I merely see it as a wise political move, I don’t really like Huckabee. From what I’ve heard, Herman Cain would be a good choice as well.

  8. You put everyone but the kitchen sink on here yet no Rick Santorum – MY CHOICE. Didn’t you already learn that Mike Huckleberry is a snake who would sell his soul to be POTUS?! Sarah Palin is a polarizing choice and would send the independents RUNNING for the hills! – THEY are who swing the vote for R or D! As a former Republican and now Conservative Independent – I would vote AGAINST you if you have Palin run with you! And I WORKED on your CAMPAIGN!!!

  9. Thune, Santorum, McDonnell, Ryan are all good ones that I left off. And I’m sure there are more.

  10. Evelio Perez says:

    Anyone but Ron Paul……..

  11. Evelio Perez says:

I voted for Haley Barbour because to win we need the south…..

  12. BOSMAN says:

    ROMNEY / DeMINT in 2012
    the Take America Back Team!

Learn more about they Romney DeMint relationship:

  13. BOSMAN says:

David Petraeus would never be chosen for at least, geographical reasons. Petraeus is from NH. He would not help Mitt on the ticket. DeMint would help Mitt in the South, Evangelicals, Tea Party members, and the far right. his early endorsement of Romney and VP CHATTER, would give a big boost to Mitt in the SC Primary.

  14. Shannon says:

    Huckabee 2012!

  15. Dalena says:

Congressman Jeff Fortenberry (R-NE) would be my choice for a running mate!!

  16. Kristyn says:

Why are Paul Ryan and Chris Christie not options? They would be far superior picks.

  17. Zaloom says:

    How bout Herman Cain?

  18. Zaloom says:

    @BOSMAN

    Hey BOS!

  19. Rachel S. says:

Paul Ryan. Hello! Why is he not on the list? He’s the best guy we’ve got. A Romney/Ryan ticket would be fantastic.

  20. what is Mitts take on having Allen Keyes as his VP?

  21. Thomas says:

    Ron Paul!

  22. Paulee says:

I heard Herman Cain speak and I was impressed…Kinda take the wind out of the sail saying Republicans are racial….wouldn’t it????…Besides he has a great story….Just thinking out loud…

  23. Lynn says:

What about John Engler? Three-term governor from Michigan (back when it was good here)

  24. Judy says:

Gov MITT Romney will be Dr TOM COBURN’S VP

  25. David DeLatte says:

    Rick Santorum

  26. Mary Sue says:

Well, Petraeus would be a good VP, but he will not run.
My choice would definitely have been Col Allen West if he had been on the list, Michelle Bachmann is who I voted for given the choices. Paul Ryan is right up there too, but I think I read that he does not want it either ( a good reason to draft him).

  27. Fredrick says:

Amen Mary Sue! Allen West would be an absolutely fantastic choice for VP! People need to be introduced to him. Romney and West would ensure an electoral landslide, and would bring this country back to its roots again.

  28. Jingo Jones says:

What makes you think Mitt Robney will win the GOP nomintation? Heaven help us.

  29. Craig says:

Again, missing the people I would vote for. Sarah Palin is a joke (Sorry, but it’s true. If you like her go watch her alledged new TV show.) John Thune isn’t up there, Allan West isn’t up there, Herman Cain isn’t up there. Ron Paul would be wonderful as well.

  30. Ralph says:

    My Top 5 choices:
1.Mitt Romney/ Condoleezza Rice (A stretch but a really strong ticket.)
2.Mitt Romney/ Elizabeth Dole (I don’t know why I find this ticket awesome.)
3.Mitt Romney/ David Petraeus (Two words: Landslide win!)
4.Mitt Romney/ Newt Gingrich (Meh. Boring, but it will secure evangelical votes.)
5.Mitt Romney/ Rudy Giuliani (A ticket that’s sure to attract conservatives, moderates and maybe even a few libs.)

Sarah Palin would be on my list, but picking Palin might as well be picking Obama for a 2nd term.
