No matter who ends up running in in 2012, I will be very surprised if Romney doesn’t win New Hampshire this time around.
PPP surveyed 642 New Hampshire Republican primary voters from April 17th to 18th: If the Republican candidates for President in 2012 were Haley Barbour, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum who would you vote for?
39% Mitt Romney
13 Sarah Palin
11 Newt Gingrich
11 Mike Huckabee
07 Ron Paul
03 Tim Pawlenty
01 Haley Barbour
01 Rick Santorum
13 Undecided

This is terrible news!!!!!!!!!!! This man did for Mass what Obama did for the USA on health care!
Are people in NH stupid?
We’ll be working to stop Mitt.
If Romney, Huckabee or Gingrich get the nominations, that’s four more years for Obama…
The grassroots does not like any of these people…
Grassroots. That’s a funny classification. What makes you think that you are grassroots and I’m not. I think what you mean to say is ” ‘I’ don’t like Mitt ” since there are plenty of grassroots that do.
My only guess is that you’re a Palin fan since you didn’t X her off your list. Tell me, do you think she’s going to run? I sincerely think she is going to pass this time. What will you do if she doesn’t? What would you do if she endorses …. Mitt (gasp)? Better prepare yourself for these contingencies.
NH:
If you look at the official PPP PDF Romney leads among all conservatives 34% to 28% (Palin and Huckabee), so this idea that only independents are attracted to him is utterly false. He is leading among ALL political classes.
Hopefully, Mitt’s lead in New Hampshire remains the same in 2012.
Yes, American people and the republican woke-up now, they saw Mitt leadership,Mitt character,Mitt strength,Mitt experienced, and Mitt value. Only Mitt is the most qualify for the presidency,if every one opened their eyes,their mine,and look for the nation,the country,they will see Mitt value,he smart,he has plan,and he knows better,why he had a success record,he is a wealthy man,a wealthy leader,so the wealthy leader can make a wealthy country too.
Mitt ruined healthcare in Mass. GOP is out of its mind.
We will work against this believe me.
People must be made aware that Mitt is no friend to conservatives.
@NH
That will be hard since truth is not on your side.
@Nate Gunderson:
If you’re grassroots you’re not too smart.
If you’re GOP, you’re even less informed.
I assume you’re against Obama care?
Romneycare=Obamacare!
NH will not vote for Mitt after we have our say.
I don’t think Palin will run, if she does, I would decide then.
I do know she never would have done what he did in Mass.
You people are not republicans, you are traitors!
@NH
@Good luck with your campaign. Don’t worry I don’t take your attacks personally.
We need someone who will repeal Obamacare. How can he do that when he helped CREATE IT?
I guess you guys want 4 more years of the communist.
Don’t get me wrong, I think Mitt is a nice guy, nice family, nothing against him, but he has to be able to have the moral justification to get up there and beat up Obama. Because of what he did to raise my health care premiums, he doesn’t have it.
@NH
Ah, you’re a Ron Paul supporter. I might have known. A little google search reveals some nice gems:

Spamming our comments already? Let’s see, where is that ban button? Ah yes, there it is…..
Someone got soggy wheaties today!
Mitt all the way! A true conservative!
NH…..your facts are wrong on Mass care..It is a shame your listening to hearsay….mass. care did not raise taxes….and Mass care being state driven CAN mandate…Feds CANNOT…Also 1 and one half % of budget….right in line…as Mitt proclaims….
Hey, I like Mitt. He seems like a nice guy.
I think a Sarah, Mitt ticket would be great. I truly believe that Palin is great in the same sense that Reagan was. A plain, honest person that is looking out for the best interest of the people of this country. I think Mitt is a great guy and would be a wonderful asset to the Palin administration.
Imagine that, a country run by someone that loves freedom and wants Government to be smaller, with a VP that’s not a total buffoon.
Something we don’t have today, for sure.
If Mitt wants the top of the ticket, he better get out there and start slamming the current administration like Sarah is proving that she’s capable of doing. Tell them all of the things that they are doing wrong (every.single.damn.thing) and back up the criticism with evidence that you know the right way to do things.
I personally feel a sarah mitt ticket would not win. Palin is not qualifed, and that little thing about QUITTING with 18 months left because someome hurt your feelings, will haunt her and the ticket. Mitt needs someone with a resume equal to his, that would give the voters a warm fuzzy if something should happen to him. I personally could not vote for McCain because I felt he made a very poor choice in running mates, and could not trust future decisions.
Besides, Palin is out for Palin only. It’s the money, baby. Just show her the money.
However, Mephitis, if you are thinking that a ‘woman’ is the best for the job of veep, go with someone with brains in on position. I’d be open to a Marcia Blackburn as veep. her children are grown, she’s able to focus on the job without the pull of small children and pressing family responsibilities. I know, I know. that’s sexist. But honestly? as a woman? being superwoman is not easy. One thing will suffer. Either the family or the career. Plenty of time when children are grown and raised. but that’s just MO only.
Does anyone like the idea of Sarah as Energy secretary?
No. Rebel, she quit the energy commission after 10 months. She really is light in the loafers with that issue as well. I’d say, let her go do her reality shows and make as much $$ as she wants. But energy secretary? no. I’d like someone with a larger skill set.
