Not reflected in these numbers is the amount of money each of these potential candidates raised on behalf of candidates and committees by headlining events during 2009.

Romney’s multiple events in VA alone raised hundreds if thousands of dollars. Then add NJ, UT, and MA. And a bunch of other events that I don’t have details on.

The more donors and the smaller contributions increases the opportunity for Mitt’s PAC to go back to the well.

Also, it flies into the face of Huckabee and Palin supporters, who believe their potential candidates can raise more money than Mitt. At this point it is unlikely. A year from now after the elections a better picture will present itself as to who has the better organizition.
