The people that choice Scozzafava (as much of a liberal as she is) must have known Hoffman wasn't a winner. In hindsight, they obviously shouldn't have chosen Scozzafava, but they perhaps should have chosen someone other than Hoffman as well. In these upcoming 2010 races, it will be extremely important for the GOP to choose the best candidates for the races they are in so we can avoid any repeats of the disaster in NY-23. There is plenty of blame to go around, but at least Mitt did the right thing it staying out of that quagmire.
