Time for Obama to Be Very Afraid

August 20th, 2008 11:07 am Author: Nate Gunderson

Claims that this election is going to be a landslide are turning out to be utterly untrue. I think we can thank the ineptitude of Obama, who Americans are coming to find out is purely form-over-function. Today’s electoral map shows Obama falling, for the first time, below the 270 electoral votes required to win the election! Ohio, with it’s 20 electoral votes is the state that most recently turned red to bring about the change.

The count: Obama 264, McCain 261 with VA as the only state in a perfect tie.

States that have turned red in the last several weeks: CO(5), FL(27), IN(11) , MT(3), NV(5), OH(20).

The two states that the Dems have picked up since: NM(5), IA(7). Iowa still sore about Huckabee losing?

OTHER REASONS FOR OBAMA TO BE AFRAID-

A couple of national polls are showing a McCain lead for the first as well.
George Washington University Battleground: McCain 47%, Obama 46%
Zogby: McCain 46%, Obama 41%

If current trends continue, it might just end up a landslide for McCain. But, I wouldn’t put money on it.

Powerline is conjecturing that Pawlenty will get nod based on RNC schedule. Does this make any sense to anyone?
