If McCain wants to win. This prediction is true. If McCain doesn’t want to win. He’ll pick Hollywood Huckafart or some other pandering soul for VP.

Sarah Palin would be a better choice, all around. We’ll see.

Definitely Sarah, I mean she was so thoroughly vetted by the media, and she’s so experienced you KNOW she would be ready on day one. Plus she carries that major swing state of Alaska. The media will certainly not take the opportunity to point out she’s currently under investigation for abuse of power, no way, she’s too purdy! (Note: I don’t think she’s guilty, but come on, you don’t pick someone currently under investigation, especially when they haven’t really been vetted yet. Why bring on unnecessary scandal?)

I thought name calling went out of vogue when you graduated 6th grade? Did you not graduate 6th grade? McCain will lose my vote if he chooses Romney but who cares, I am just one vote, well two when you count my wife, oops maybe 20-25 when you count the rest of my family who also sees Romney for what he is. I just hope the rest of America sees him for what he is before it’s too late. Who knows, maybe he will finally fulfill all those campaign promises he made when running for Senator and then Governor of Mass to be more Liberal than Ted Kennedy.

I really like Mitt, but unfortunately the hateful evangelicals do not. If McCain picks Mitt, he drives a wedge through the partt and loses.

Yeah, its a good thing Mitt will not be held accountable for old campaign promises you made up that he never said. He said he would be better for gay rights than Ted Kennedy, not more liberal. And he would have been. By not asking for anything radical (he was and still is opposed to gay marriage) he would be better at fighting actual discrimination. However, yes we know. You are perfectly willing to vote for McCain but not with Romney as VP because Romney is just too liberal compared to McCain, right? Why don’t you just come out and admit what your problem with Mitt really is. It would be refreshing. Then tell us all how Obama would be so much better. I’m waiting…also feel free to point out this name calling you were addressing.

Boy am I tired of professional politicians. Their only skill is talking BS. Isn’t it reasonable to elect a smart, experienced, non-politician to run the biggest business in the world??? Mitt Romney has it all. He would be great.

My mother, an evangelical fundamentalist, told me that she would be very happy if Mitt Romney was chosen as V.P. She wanted him to be THE nominee.

At first she was hesitant, because he was a Mormon, but as she learned more about him, she became convinced that he would be a great President (or Vice President, in this case).

Les Miles to be named head coach at Michigan?…now really you shouldn’t post headlines like romney will be named veep till after it happens, as my first headline highlights, things can change quick. I think it could and should happen but who knows what mccain will do with his veep pick. Also, i think all romney supporters should cease any knocks on mike huckabee…if romney and mccain can patch things up, romney and huckabee can to put their past in the past. Both will have big roles in the future of the gop and its stupid to constantly see snide remarks…+ i doubt they even face off in a future primary but i do think each would need the others supporters to ever get elected to the white house.

Well, I think we’ve seen that a black man (or half black) can get elected as president; we’ve also seen that a woman can possibly get elected as well. But a Mormon?? Nah. . . I think that’s the last bastion of bigotry, actually. Go pick any news article on the net about Mitt Romney. Then read the comments. What percentage of the comments are about his religion? Yeah, pretty high percentage. Romney would be the best all around, obviously, but I don’t think too many evangelicals are as unbiased as BethTopaz’ mom. I really do hope I’m wrong though. .

    Hey Blue,
What about all of the Huckabee supporters that bash Romney? You cannot have it only 1 way. Especially when almost all of the bashing is on his (and my) religion!

There’s a couple things in the past week that may or may not mean anything. But one is Cindy McCain has become good friends with Ann Romney. The other was John McCain said last week that Romney did a better job explaining McCain’s positions than he did himself.

Oh heck. Spidy, you’ve got a point. AND the fact he has been on ‘vacation’ during the Obamapoloza tour and McCain has totally blown his opportunity. Shows me he can’t swing along, without Romney keeping him on message, and being the attack dog. I’ll be pretty bummed if it’s not mitt.
Oh, and anyon…. If your afraid to say who you are, maybe your vote would not count anyway?

Mitt should and would have been the Rep. Nom. if it wasnt for McCain acting like a child and lying to Florida in the last few days there. I still cant get over how McCain could sit there, and go against everyone, the host, even the audience while everyone was trying to tell him what the word timetable means. Mitt would be a great president! And an outstanding VP choice! Go Mitt!
